Audio problem: Tintin wakes after having his nightmare and causes mayhem across the room. Haddock later says, "You were dreaming about that crash on the news" somehow without his mouth syncing up with the speech during the second half of this line. (00:03:55)

Continuity mistake: When Haddock points out to Tintin he was dreaming about the crash on the news, the background shows a pitch black sky (around 11 o'clock sky). Yet a further two shots later, the background shows a partially lighter sky (still night, around 7 o'clock). (00:03:55)

Continuity mistake: When Haddock starts lowering Tharkey into the cave, a rope is wrapped around a walking stick. There are three loops around the stick to begin with. A couple of shots later in a close-up of the stick, there are now only two loops in the rope. (00:19:05)

Other mistake: When Tintin enters the cave, the footsteps follow behind him. An animation error occurs regarding one footstep, in which half of it vanishes from shot for a quick frame and then reappears as the shot starts to pan, revealing that the footsteps were not drawn by the animators in each individual frame. Other mistake: A museum curator notices that the leg of a dinosaur bone head been stolen after Snowy removed it. During this shot, the dinosaur's foot hasn't moved an inch. How can this be possible? Snowy managed to remove a dino leg with his teeth, so must have dislodged the rest of the bone while doing so. (00:26:55)
