The Adventures of Tintin

The Secret of the Unicorn: Part 2 - S1-E4

Other mistake: Tintin is in the treasure room whilst the Bird brothers are looking for him. After the brother with the gun shoots the knight armour, Tintin is crawling around the room far behind them, and pops his head up where he can see them. About 2-3 seconds later, he is then shown as a mirror reflection the brothers are tricked into thinking is real, nowhere near his previous spot. 4 seconds after that, Tintin is hiding behind a cupboard at the other end of the room, that the brothers just quickly run by. Red Rackham's Treasure - S1-E5

Other mistake: When Haddock walks over to Tintin whilst the boat is on the docks, a crate is lifted. The X that is written on the crate disappears from shot when the crate is lifted, revealing it was not animated in each frame of the shot. (00:06:45)

Red Rackham's Treasure - S1-E5

Other mistake: Professor Calculus brings the parts for two shark submarines (he stated in the scene prior he would bring two) to the docks in two separate crates. The crates he uses to hold the submarine parts in would not big enough to hold the entirety of the submarine. The crates shown are only a couple of feet wide and even smaller in height, but the shark submarines shown in the episode are much larger than the overall size of the crate. (00:06:50)

Cigars of the Pharaoh: Part 1 - S1-E6

Other mistake: The detectives run away from a goat that chases after them. If you watch their movements and the goat's movements, you will see the goat isn't running in the direction they are running in just after they jump over a sand hill. (00:15:25)

The Blue Lotus: Part 2 - S1-E9

Other mistake: There is an outside shot of the police station. There are several "+" signs on a brick wall in front of the wall to the building. However, not one part of the wall or window is seen through the "+" signs on the wall in front of the building. Just some green wall. (00:32:35)

The Calculus Affair: Part 1 - S1-E12

Other mistake: One of the villains says "With pleasure" after looking at Calculus and his radio. The other villain has a cigarette in his mouth. In this shot, you can see the cigarette has two ends to it. The edge of it cannot be ash because that would have been washed away in the rain. (00:03:15)

Other mistake: When the taxi gets hit, the number plate reads "GE 7051" on the back of the car, but when the taxi falls into the water, the number plate reads "GE 7054" on the front of the car. The number plate should be the same on both ends. (00:14:55)

Trivia: There is a mistake pointing out that the newspaper at the end is a flipped shot. If you flip it the right way round, you will see on the right hand side of the article the word "Spielberg" on one of the lines, a reference to director Steven Spielberg. Steven Spielberg went on to direct the Tintin movie Secret of the Unicorn in 2011. (00:43:35)

King Ottokar's Sceptre: Part 2 - S2-E5

Question: When Tintin and the King discover King Ottokar's scepter had been stolen, both Hector and the guards are shown to have been knocked out. Later, Tintin points out that Hector had stolen the scepter by placing it in a camera, put it next to the window and shot it out of the window using the camera. If that's how Hector managed to get the scepter out of the building, then what was it that caused Hector and the guards to get knocked out? (00:33:10 - 00:35:50)

Chosen answer: If Hector was seriously intent on removing King Ottokar's scepter from the glass cage holding it and launching it through the window with the camera, then Hector would have been forced to knock out the two guards so they would not have interfered with Hector's plan as soon as he removed the scepter from the glass. As for Hector, himself, was explained when Tintin was explaining how Hector stole the scepter. Tintin placed a twig inside the camera and it launched out of the camera. Hector would have placed the scepter inside of the camera, and would have been knocked unconscious due to the spring effect created when the scepter had been launched.
