Other mistake: When Gambit is wiping sweat off his forehead, the locks of hair that he is rubbing his fist against do not move. (00:05:20)
Other mistake: When the hotel clerk is checking Gambit, Storm and Jubilee into their room, he determines that they are mutants by seeing footage of Storm using her powers at the Salem Center Mall from the very first episode. While it's not unreasonable that security footage from the mall could exist showing Storm use her powers, the footage also shows an extremely close zoom-in on Storm's left eye, which is extremely unlikely, unless the security camera somehow guessed she was about to activate her mutant powers. (00:13:27)
Other mistake: When Wolverine, Rogue and Jean Grey are falling down the hole, they are all falling at the same rate, yet Wolverine lands a couple seconds after the other two. If anything, he should have landed first because he weighs more than them, especially since his bones are coated with metal, and Rogue and Jean Grey are shown to be slowing their falls by using their flight and telekinetic powers respectively. Wolverine also appears to land a couple feet in front of the hole.
Time Fugitives: Part 1 - S2-E7
Other mistake: When the Friends of Humanity member is going through pictures of the X-Men on his watch, Wolverine is shown to have blond hair.
Days of Future Past: Part 2 - S1-E12
Other mistake: Wolverine is around 5'3", but when Forge is viewing his skeleton in the tube at the end of the episode, the skeleton appears to be at least seven feet tall.
Other mistake: When Bella Donna is saying that Gambit was wise to leave the Thieves Guild, there is a black horizontal line on Gambit's right cheek that disappears and reappears in sync with his blinking.
Other mistake: When Rogue rendezvous with Beast, Xavier and Gambit, she pinches Gambit's cheek with her bare fingers. This should have caused her to drain his powers and render him unconscious. (00:14:10)
Other mistake: When Gambit pushes out the vent shaft cover from inside the ventilation system, his hands emerge gripping the outside of the cover. This would be physically impossible. (00:09:55)
Other mistake: When Wolverine is carving "HERO" into Cocteau's tombstone, he is shown to be using all three claws on his right hand to do so, but the carving looks like it was only carved with one sharp point. If he was using all three claws, each point of articulation for each letter should have been tripled. (00:19:05)
Other mistake: When Justine is telling Wolverine about her father's accomplishments in the war, the cel shading is very fuzzy throughout the entire shot. (00:18:30)
Other mistake: The Red Skull reveals that Cocteau is the one who sounded the alarm on Wolverine and Captain America, but at the time the alarm starts going off, there are no switches on the walls for him to have pressed, not to mention he was shown to have been standing in the middle of the corridor out of arm's reach of either wall. (00:09:35 - 00:10:20)
Other mistake: When Wolverine and Captain America are scaling the cliff, their bodies glide up the cliff wall between arm and leg movements. (00:07:30)
Other mistake: The non-English wording on Cocteau's tombstone at the beginning of the episode is gibberish. It says "Pace et Rfouisat." When it is shown again at the end of the episode, it reads "Page et Resquiat." It appears that they were attempting to say "Rest in Peace," but they got their French and Latin confused. The proper French translation would be "Repose en Paix" and the proper Latin translation would be "Requiescat in Pace." (00:01:35)
No Mutant Is an Island - S5-E4
Other mistake: When Killgrave is standing in front of the projector, the projector image is cast onto his person matched color for color, except for when his own image in his true purple-skinned form appears and the image cast onto him maintains a normal flesh color. (00:11:20)
Other mistake: When Omega Red brings the nuclear submarine to launch depth, the underwater cliff he parks it on is the exact same cliff where the submarine was originally located. (00:03:30 - 00:15:10)
Other mistake: After Omega Red stabilizes the nuclear sub while it is moving, the military somehow has a live video feed from outside the sub despite the fact that they didn't send any other submarines out to monitor the mission. (00:09:00)
The Phalanx Covenant: Part 2 - S5-E2
Other mistake: When Forge says "Now we need offensive power," he opens up a containment bubble with no one inside it. The bubbles are transparent, so he would have known whether or not someone was inside it and it would make no sense for him to open up an empty bubble since he was in need of reinforcements. (00:15:55)
The Phalanx Covenant: Part 2 - S5-E2
Other mistake: When Mr. Sinister, Beast, Forge, Warlock and Amelia are walking towards Magneto, they walk in place for several strides. (00:08:30)
The Phalanx Covenant: Part 1 - S5-E1
Other mistake: As usual, Wolverine's jeep is missing its windshield. (00:08:25)
Answer: It appears a number of factors led to its demise. It was originally intended to air for 65 episodes, but its popularity extended that. However, there were continual production quality problems, issues regarding whether the content was suitable enough for children, as well as financial considerations that finally led to it being ended.
