Continuity mistake: When Morph fools the guards into going into a different room, you can see him transform back into his regular self in silhouette, and his jacket suddenly goes down below his knees, similar to Gambit's, whereas Morph's jacket stops at his waist. (00:03:44)

Continuity mistake: When Rogue catches the security guard from the collapsing tower, he has black hair. When she is flying through the air with him as well as when she dumps him in the grass, his hair is red-orange. (00:06:50)

Continuity mistake: After Cyclops tells Gambit to blow up the fence and Rogue flies into frame, her headband and the patches on her uniform that are all normally black are now red. Continuity mistake: When Gambit says "You wanna play with Gambit? Here, take a card!" the glove on his right hand is missing, then is suddenly back on his hand when he says "House wins." (00:05:50)
Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
