Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

Show generally

Continuity mistake: When the Villains send their cronies (for example, Putties, Tengu Warriors, Cogs, Piranhatrons, etc.), their numbers constantly change from when they arrive, to when they leave. This is due to the use of Japanese footage used from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: When the Rangers morph, the clothes they are wearing don't match what they have been wearing that episode - this also applies to hair.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: In the 12 series (Power Rangers Dino Thunder), in the episode "White Thunder Part 3", The Red Ranger throws his blaster to the ground whilst fighting the White Ranger. In the wide shot, the blaster disappears.

Other mistake: Episode 13-12: "Shadow (2)." When Cruger is challenged to defeat 100 robots, a red countdown meter appears on the screen, ticking down each time Cruger dispatches an opponent. When the counter is at 21, Cruger slices his sword at a robot, which then goes down. But the counter stays at 21 and only goes to 22 when he slices at the next robot. Every robot in the sequence goes down after a single hit from Cruger's sword.

Revealing mistake: Until the end of the 5th series, we can see part of the Zord costumes move about as the character in them walks about - sometimes they even look like they are going to fall off. This is particularly true in the 2nd series.

Other mistake: In one episode of Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Ethan is seen playing a game on a computer, Connor comes in and Ethan looks away from the computer to talk to him. The game Ethan was playing is still going, but Ethan has stopped playing, obviously a demo.

Plot hole: Quite often the Rangers were contacted at school and would teleport to the command center, danger zone, etc. It is safe to say that the faculty would notice star pupils missing classes so often, yet it was never questioned or addressed.

Suggested correction: I do think schools would be evacuated if there is another monster attack, hence they could not notice them not being around, since class does not take place.

There is no confirmation that schools are evacuated. This explanation is only a theory.

And even if they were, it is standard operating procedure during and school evacuation to take attendance to make sure no kids were left behind. Repeated absences from these role calls would raise eyebrows.

Agreed. There are even times when the Rangers are at the Angel Grove Youth Center but are called away but, nobody notices as people leave all of the time.

Suggested correction: The entirety of Angel Grove doesn't know them personally. Also that is the power of voice over. You would never sound that clear while wearing a tight helmet that covers your mouth.

DetectiveGadget85

So what about when they talk to recurring characters such as the guy who works the bar at the youth centre (can't think of his name off the top of my head).

Haha. It is a bit like standard suspension of disbelief and a common mistake to most superhero TV/movies/comic books even, but I very much agree that there is no real way to make a rational and logical explanation for it. They do meet recurring characters a lot, plus, I mean...they all hang out together, some of them wearing also clothing patterned with a dominance of their trademark ranger colors and that makes the fact that they are a group even more conspicuous.

Sammo

They all wear clothing dominated by the colour of their persona. Plus the fact that they are never around when the rangers are around.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Whenever we see the Rangers morph it is always the same clip that is used to show this. This is especially apparent towards the middle of Season 2 when Zack has dreadlocks in the program, but his crew cut hair in the morph sequence. (00:07:25)

Other mistake: In various episodes we see Alpha working in the command centre. When we see him pressing buttons however, they are almost always the same buttons being pressed, regardless of the intent.
