In an earlier episode called Wilson's Girlfriend, the woman Wilson dates also says she wrote the same book with the same number of copies sold.

Revealing mistake: When the box falls on the kid's head, Randy and Mark run out of the store. When they run out, the mall stores in the background wave or move revealing that it's not an actual mall set but just a backdrop.
Visible crew/equipment: When Tim is using the metal detector looking for the gift, when Wilson says 'using the metal detector in winter, ' you can see a boom mic quickly drop into view to the left of him.
Plot hole: Tim has the mike in his hand and steps repeatedly forwards to talk to Jill, the cord being long enough to allow him to do so. However once Jill leaves and he wants to go after her the mike knocks over the jar of mosquitoes. Up until then, there was no indication that the mike had been changed or moved but he never at the risk of knocking over the jar until then.
Answer: In seasons 1 and 2, each Binford tool had a unique model number, but from season 3 onward, they were all numbered 6100 as a running gag.
