Hell on Earth 2006 - S10-E11

Corrected entry: When Satan announces his party, he says that you have to have a wristband and a costume to get in. But when Biggy Smalls shows up at the party, he doesn't have a costume on, even though the party was the same night he appeared in Butters' bathroom.

Heather Benton

Correction: Originally, Satan did not allow anyone without a wristband or costume into the party, but by the end of the episode, Satan had learned his lesson, realising that the party was more for the people and not for him and then granted everyone access to the party regardless of whether or not they had a wristband or costume. By the time Butters and Biggie Smalls arrived at the party, Satan had already opened the doors to everyone, so they would have been allowed in anyway.

Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants - S5-E9

Corrected entry: When Osama is holding the dynamite, the light is at the end of the fuse, yet about 3 seconds after the guards surround him it explodes.

Correction: After Osama says "Uh-oh" and he and the guards scream, the fuse begins to burn down to the dynamite. The dynamite explodes as it should.

Casual Person

Weight Gain 4000 - S1-E3

Corrected entry: When the kids are rehearsing the play, the crowd only appears when Mr. Garrison says "To hell with Kathy Lee Gifford." The crowd is nowhere to be seen before then.

xx:xx:xx

Sol Parker

Correction: The crowd's immediate appearance in the scene is not sudden. The crowd is first shown on screen after Mr. Garrison says "To hell with Kathy Lee Gifford". Before this point, the last time an angle from in front of the stage that the kids are rehearsing the play on is about 25 seconds before the crowd's "sudden appearance", in the shot where the kids playing the attackers invade the Indian land. This twenty five second gap would give the crowd ample time to get to a closer view of the stage whilst the kids were rehearsing.

Casual Person

Weight Gain 4000 - S1-E3

Corrected entry: When Cartman eats the "Weight Gain 4000," he not only gets fatter, but taller as well.

xx:xx:xx

Sol Parker

Correction: Cartman's height growth was purposefully done as part of the visual joke to show how his weight gain has exaggeratedly affected his body. The effects are not supposed to be done in a scientifically accurate manner, but done more to show the audience how ineffective Cartman's attempts at getting into shape had become through a visual medium, without resorting to any sort of needless exposition.

Casual Person

South Park is Gay! - S7-E8

Corrected entry: When Kyle is seen getting on the train to meet the Queer Eye guys, Sharon Marsh is seen sitting on the train. Later, she is seen back in South Park with the other moms discussing how the metro-sexual fad may not be so great after all.

Correction: Sharon Marsh is never shown on the train. There is someone who bears a resemblance to her, but it is not her; the person being referred to who is on the train is only shown from the side, so it is impossible to determine if it really is her and the person also wears entirely different clothing than Sharon Marsh is usually shown wearing.

Casual Person

Lil' Crime Stoppers - S7-E6

Corrected entry: When Sarah Peterson comes to report that her doll is missing, Butters' name is already on the cardboard wall in front of the stairs. But he does not get questioned about Sarah's doll until later.

Correction: While there is a cardboard wall with a suspects list and Butters' name is on it before he is questioned, there is nothing in the scene that suggests the suspect list had something to do with the missing doll case. The cardboard wall/suspects list also mentions Token and another kid called Sky whose names have been crossed out and within the episode, they have never been mentioned as part of the case, so it is plausible that the cardboard wall listing the suspects could have been part of an entirely different case that Butters was also a suspect in.

Casual Person

Le Petit Tourette - S11-E8

Corrected entry: When Cartman visits Chris Hanson to call off his appearance on Dateline (he is currently unable to keep from blurting out his unfiltered thoughts), he lies that his grandma died and that he has to go to Memphis. His "Tourette's" then kicks in and he admits that his grandma's fine. His grandma, however, died earlier in "Cartmanland" (season 5 episode 6) and at this point, he knows of only one parent (his mother/father Liane).

xx:xx:xx

Correction: However, Cartman's great-grandma, Florence, is still alive. Many people do refer to great-grandparents as "grandma" or "grandpa" in general conversations such as this.

Bishop73

Child Abduction is Not Funny - S6-E11

Corrected entry: Tweek's parents tell him that they have installed locks on his window and door so that he is safe from abductors. But if Tweek's door and window are locked at night by his parents (as we see during the first night when they are teaching him not to open the door to anyone but them), then how did Frederick Johnson get into Tweek's room?

Correction: He simply broke in. Locks aren't perfect.

Bishop73

Grey Dawn - S7-E10

Corrected entry: When the seniors take over the town, they put all the adults into a camp so that they can't stop them, but near the end of the episode, the seniors are surprised that Country Kitchen Buffet is not open. They shouldn't be surprised because if all the adults are in a camp, then there would be no one around to open up the restaurant for the seniors.

Heather Benton

Correction: It's obviously a joke that the seniors aren't too bright and meant to make a point.

Bishop73

Pinewood Derby - S13-E6

Corrected entry: Australia said that if South Park keeps all the space money they will call the cosmic cops. Only Randy has the number as shown.

A Demon

Correction: Regardless of whether or not they had the number, this line is just a joke about how in real life people threaten to "call the cops" in an argument, usually to get their way.

Bishop73

Insecurity - S16-E10

Corrected entry: When Cartman tells a man to break into the house, his phone then rings. He doesn't press the answer button but is still able to answer the call.

Casual Person

Correction: Most cordless phones will answer automatically when picked up off the base, which happens in this scene, so there's no need to hit the talk button. But even if that's not the case, Cartman's thumb is hidden from view and could easily have pressed the talk button while putting the phone to his ear. No mistake either way.

Bishop73

Canada on Strike - S12-E4

Corrected entry: While Tay Zonday (Chocolate rain guy) is fighting with Chris Crocker (Leave Britney alone!) he is holding him by the hair and holds his gun to his head. The next wide shot of all the fighting in the room, the gun has disappeared from his hands, but he is still holding Crocker by his hair.

Lummie

Correction: This is incorrect, as I watched the entire scene through multiple times and the gun was still in Tay Zonday's hand in the next shot.

Cartman Gets an Anal Probe - S1-E1

Corrected entry: After the scene where Mr. Garrison says, "You can say that again, Mr. Hat," Kyle shouts, "Give me back my brother you stupid aliens" in Stan's voice.

Theresa Sandoval

Correction: After the scene where Mr. Garrison says, "You can say that again, Mr. Hat," Kyle shouts, "Come down here you stinking aliens" in Stan's voice.

The Death of Eric Cartman - S9-E6

Corrected entry: When Cartman is walking the streets thinking he's died, it's a school day since you see him visit the school swarming with pupils and he is seen waiting with the other boys at the bus stop. But if it's a school day, what's Butters doing at home? And if it's because he's sick, why is he outside shovelling the snow off the driveway?

Heather Benton

Correction: Butters' parents are constantly grounding him for one reason or another. They may have grounded him from school and had him do chores around the house instead.

Captain Defenestrator

The Death of Eric Cartman - S9-E6

Corrected entry: At the end when Cartman finds out he's not really dead (everyone was just ignoring him), he storms over to Butters and accuses him of lying to him by telling him he'd died. But earlier on, when Cartman and Butters meet, Cartman's the one who told Butters he had died.

Heather Benton

Correction: Cartman is a sociopath and can't ever admit fault: Butters didn't tell him he wasn't dead, therefore, it's all his fault.

Captain Defenestrator

Grey Dawn - S7-E10

Corrected entry: When the seniors are handing over their licenses, a senior in a green hat with a zimmer frame says that he's never had an accident in his life. But in the previous scene, he is shown crashing through the side of the house that Randy and the boys are hiding in.

Correction: He's getting his license taken away. Wouldn't you lie too?

Captain Defenestrator

Mystery of the Urinal Deuce - S10-E9

Corrected entry: When Cartman is doing his presentation on the 9/11 attacks, he says that Kyle got 91 on a spelling test 12 days after 9/11 - but September 23rd was a Sunday.

Correction: Cartman is known for making mistakes. Also, bear in mind that he likes to rip on Kyle for being Jewish and what he's telling the class are all LIES.

Cartmanland - S5-E6

Corrected entry: When Cartman goes to buy North Park Funland, he tells the owner that he is buying the theme park to keep people out so that only he can ride the rides. But wouldn't it have been better if Cartman had just told the owner to only let him enter the park, and given the owner the $1 million in order to pay for the staff and all the necessities like food, maintenance etc?

Correction: Maybe, but it's his choice to buy the park if he wants to.

Knever

Make Love, Not Warcraft - S10-E8

Corrected entry: In the beginning, as Stan looks back to his computer after calling Randy "R-tard", the name of his character (seen on the upper-left hand corner of the screen) is 'Staniscool". But when the men from Blizzard come to give the Sword of a Thousand Truths to Stan, they refer to Stan's character as "Loves2spooge".

Thunderlord

Correction: One can have multiple characters with a single account.

Knever

The List - S11-E14

Corrected entry: When Stan and Wendy learn that Kyle is going to burn down the school, the shot changes to thunder and lightning in the sky. Thunder and lightning do not occur in winter.

darhug

Correction: Thunder and lightning can occur at anytime of year anywhere on the planet.

Greenman37

The Losing Edge - S9-E5

Corrected entry: When Randy and Bat Dad are fighting, the referees run over saying that if they don't stop fighting, their team will be disqualified. But Randy is seen fighting in all the other Little League games, so why was South Park not disqualified then?

Correction: Because the refs finally had enough of Randy fighting with everyone, and threaten to disqualify the team.

rswarrior

Ike's Wee Wee - S2-E3

Corrected entry: When Mackey's eyes are pink, so are his glasses.

Correction: How would that be a mistake? He is wearing pink glasses. When he was getting into drugs he started changing things in relation to his appearance.

Lummie

Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride - S1-E4

Corrected entry: During the football game, the announcer says "And the ball is passed to 23 Kenny McCormick." But Kenny's number is actually 13.

Correction: A character mistake on the part of the announcer.

Lummie

Grey Dawn - S7-E10

Corrected entry: When all the seniors in town are having the meeting at the community centre, there is about 20 of them. But later on, when all the seniors are lining up at the DMV to have their licences taken away, there is a lot more of them.

Correction: That only means not all the seniors showed up for the meeting and there is no mistake in that. Their licenses being taken away would have been law and the seniors would know they have to hand in their licenses.

Lummie

Erection Day - S9-E7

Corrected entry: Jimmy says that he has spent all of his money on the prostitute. But then he exits the restaurant, gets directly into a cab, and later pays the cab driver in cash.

DavidK93

Correction: Jimmy was just exaggerating when he says he had spent all his money, as he was in the restaurant before having paid and how would he have paid there if he HAD spent all his money?

Chickenlover - S2-E4

Corrected entry: When Chief Barbrady and the children arrive at the zoo, there's an alien doing...something to an animal.

Dr Wilson

Correction: According to http://www.southparkstudios.com/fans/findthealien/ aliens are hidden in most episodes. You are supposed to find all of them and then go on the south park website enter their locations. Since they are hidden in most episodes and this was announced it is not really trivia.

Chickenlover - S2-E4

Corrected entry: Every time we see Cartman as a police officer, regardless of the time of day or direction that Cartman is facing, the same image reflects in Cartman's sunglasses.

Correction: This does not have to be pointed out as being deliberate. This is trivia at best (and probably too obvious even for that).

Follow That Egg - S9-E10

Corrected entry: In this episode., If Mrs. Garrison hands out real eggs to the kids to use, wouldn't the eggs get rotten after not being refrigerated?

Correction: With all the scientific improbabilities & impossibilities that occur within this series, it is very doubtful.

Rlvlk

Chickenlover - S2-E4

Corrected entry: In this episode, they indicate that Officer Barbrady is the only policeman in South Park. But in most other episodes, for example in "Majorine" when Butters is going to jump off the roof, there are many police officers there, not just Barbrady.

Correction: The episode you mentioned "Marjorine" was a more recent episode while the episode with Barbrady being supposedly the only policeman was one of the first episodes of South Park. We can deduce that more officers were hired between the two episodes. Even if there were other episodes when more officers were shown, the reasons could vary from Barbrady needing additional help to more people moving to the town.

Lummie

Fun With Veal - S6-E4

Corrected entry: How did Mrs. Cartman get the food basket ready? She couldn't have done it at her house because someone would have noticed her leaving at some point to do it and bringing it back, and she couldn't have done it at Stan's house because someone would have heard.

Correction: Let's count the ways she could have done it. Stan and Cartman's houses are not the only houses in south park, she could have prepared the food at uncle Jimbo's place or somewhere else. She could have gone to a store and just bought the food. She could have ordered take-out and put the food in the food basket, etc etc.

Nick Bylsma

Scott Tenorman Must Die - S5-E4

Corrected entry: When Cartman goes over to taste Scott's tears, he is almost as tall as Scott is sitting. We all know Cartman is not that tall, what is he standing on?

Sol Parker

Correction: Cartman was sitting/leaning across the table.

Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut (2) - S2-E2

Corrected entry: None of the politicians that Ms. Cartman sleeps with, when trying to get 40th Trimester abortions legalised, notice that she is an hermaphrodite.

Correction: Nobody throughout the entire series notices Mrs. Cartman is an hermaphrodite without giving her a thorough medical examination. Obviously, she has had corrective surgery, or, her hermaphrodism is not readily visible or discernible.

Twotall

Fantastic Easter Special - S11-E5

Corrected entry: When Mr. Marsh is being taken away outside the lodge, the leader of the ninjas asks him who he gave the rabbit to. When Marsh won't tell, the man says, "Search the area, the boy [Stan] could not have gotten far." But seconds earlier, he did not know that Stan had the rabbit.

Correction: It's not hard to figure out that if you raid a building looking for something, one person escapes, and you don't find the object in the building, then the escapee has the object. He could also just want Stan to use as a bargaining tool.

Gary O'Reilly

Conjoined Fetus Lady - S2-E5

Corrected entry: When the Chinese dodgeball team member throws the ball at Kenny, it sends Kenny into the wall face first- killing him. When everyone but Pip is left, you can see that Kenny's body is still stuck in the wall, but has been turned around with him facing away from the wall.

BillyBlake

Correction: Kenny is hit in the face with the dodgeball and the impact forces him into the wall, he is facing away from the wall as he was when he was hit with the ball. His body does not change the way it is facing from when Kenny is struck with the ball throughout the remainder of the episode.

Raisins - S7-E14

Corrected entry: When Kyle is lying in bed in some shots one half of his face is in shadow and in other shots the other side is.

xx:xx:xx

jle

Correction: First of all I'm assuming it's Stan you mean. Second of all South Park always makes jokes about the amature animation (eg. in Season 6 episode 'Free Hat').

Cripple Fight - S5-E2

Corrected entry: When Cartman walks into the Church to yell "Cripple Fight," Kyle's family, which is Jewish, is in the church.

Correction: I've already corrected this once and it is back with no changes: There could be many reasons for a Jewish family to be in a church. It could have been "Friendship Day" and were someone's guests. They could have stopped in to see the Christian service.

Rlvlk

The Losing Edge - S9-E5

Corrected entry: When 'Batdad' makes his first appearance, and Sheila Broflovski asks who he is, a woman replies that his name is Tom Nelson, however in a later scene his wife refers to him as Chris.

Correction: Character mistake- the woman who identified Batdad as Tom Nelson simply mixed him up with someone else. On the verge of unlikely, given that he is somewhat of a celebrity figure in Denver, but still entirely possible.

Cartman's Incredible Gift - S8-E13

Corrected entry: Stark's Pond was destroyed to make room for the Wall-Mart parking lot. Yet, later in this episode, the pond is intact.

Correction: The whole town of South Park is destroyed in almost every episode and rebuilt in time for the next one. It's entirely likely that after getting rid of Wall-Mart, they remade Stark's Pond.

Captain Defenestrator

The Super Best Friends - S5-E3

Corrected entry: When everyone is in Washington, Jesus instructs the Mormon leader to freeze the water to stop the suicides. In the next shot of the water, it's liquid again.

Correction: Well the narrator did say that it was "later at the exact same location" in the shot after it was turned to ice, so it was obviously after the ice had melted.

Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina - S9-E1

Corrected entry: When Kyle enters the basketball game as the tall, black kid, the game announcer refers to Kyle as number "8". He is actually wearing a jersey with the number "4" on it.

Daniel Garner

Correction: This isn't a show goof, it's a character goof: the announcer made an honest mistake.

Raisins - S7-E14

Corrected entry: All of the girls who work at Raisins are named after cars: Mercedes, Lexus, Porsche, etc.

Correction: This isn't trivia, it's just stating facts.

Woodland Critter Christmas - S8-E14

Corrected entry: In episode 8-14: "Woodland Critter Christmas," the squirrel tells Stan that the Antichrist's birth will lead to a thousand years of darkness in the forest. A few moments later, Stan laments the "ten thousand years of darkness" that are to come.

DavidK93

Correction: Simple character mistake.

Lummie

Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery - S3-E10

Corrected entry: When the boys dig up Kyle's dead grandmother, the last name on the tombstone is "Broflovski." But when the cemetery people go to Kyle's house to tell his parents what happened, they tell his mother "your mother" has been dug up. Unless her maiden name is also "Broflovski," which is unlikely, the dead woman would have to be Kyle's father's mother.

Correction: While rare, it's not completely uncommon for a man to adopt the wife's maiden name after marriage. Given Sheila's commanding personality compared to Gerald, it's possible she got him to change his name to Broflovski when they were married.

City on the Edge of Forever (a.k.a. Flashbacks) - S2-E7

Corrected entry: After Ms. Crabtree gets off the bus, Stan says "We can't get off the bus or that big black scary monster will get us," but Ms. Crabtree never says that the monster is black.

Correction: This episode is all a dream, it's all from one persons subconscious who is making it up in their mind as they go along.

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the first four episodes, Stan's house has a purple wall and a yellow carpet. Then in "An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig" it has a purple wall and a brown carpet, which it continues to have for the rest of the seasons. But in "The Return of Chef" it goes back to having a purple wall and a yellow carpet.

Correction: Many people, like Stan's parents, have bought a new carpet and changed it again at a later date.

Cartman Joins NAMBLA - S4-E5

Corrected entry: When Cartman goes to see Mephisto to ask him to make him a friend, Mephisto tells him that genetic engineering has not yet advanced to the stage where he can just make people. But in "An Elephant Makes Loves To A Pig", Mephisto easily made a giant clone of Stan.

Correction: First of all that was cloning, not engineering completely new people. And second of all, the Stan clone wasn't exactly a huge success. So he's quite right when he says that the technology isn't advanced enough yet.

Andreas[DK]

The Death Camp of Tolerance - S6-E14

Corrected entry: When the Catfish says "Great job, Lemmiwinks." after Lemmiwinks escapes Mr Slave, his voice sounds totally different than it did when he met Lemmiwinks inside the stomach.

UKFilmFan

Correction: No not really. His voice just sounds a little different in the stomach because a bit of reverb was added to his voice. (To simulate that he is speaking in a great hall or in this case a stomach.)

Andreas[DK]

Cartman Gets an Anal Probe - S1-E1

Corrected entry: The kid that Cartman sets on fire is Pip. Just something to notice.

Correction: This is not trivia, rather an obvious observation.

Good Times With Weapons - S8-E1

Corrected entry: Kenny only bought one ninja star, and after the fight with Professor Chaos, it's stuck in Butters' eye, so Kenny shouldn't have it anymore. However, when Kenny and the other boys fight the other group of "ninjas", you can see Kenny is still holding a star.

Moose

Correction: We are never told how many ninja stars Kenny has bought, only that EVEN he can afford them at $1.99.

Soylent Purple

Show generally

Corrected entry: For maybe the first four seasons, Stand and Kyle's voices stayed the same, after season four though, they seemed to have gotten deeper. Couldn't have been because of puberty because if that was the case Cartman's voice would have changed also.

Correction: Obviously you are not aware of the fact that many guys can experience puberty and deeper voices at a later age than others. Aside from that fact, this mistake is more built on opinion rather than any fact. I have watched South Park for many years and there is no example to prove this observation.

Lummie

The Tooth Fairy's TATS 2000 - S4-E1

Corrected entry: When Cartman's mom tells him that the Tooth Fairy is not real, Cartman says "I guess you're going to tell me that there is no Santa Claus, Jesus or the Easter Bunny", but Cartman knows that Jesus definitely exists because he went on his show in "The Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka".

Correction: That is the point. He strongly believes in something, and doesn't believe what his mother is telling him. He might as well have said "I guess you're going to tell me that I don't exist either."

Soylent Purple

Pink Eye - S1-E7

Corrected entry: When Kyle cuts Kenny in half, there is a skull behind him, how did the zombie head become nothing but a skull so fast, it was only cut off seconds ago.

Sol Parker

Correction: Considering that it was Halloween night, that skull probably isn't real and was placed in the cemetery as a prop for the holiday.

Christian Rock Hard - S7-E9

Corrected entry: In the scene in which they are taking the photo for the album cover, Butters is on the left, Token is on the right. However, when the lady at the Christian festival is buying the CD, it shows a close-up and Butters is on the right and Token is on the left.

Correction: First of all, as we can see, they take several pictures to use as potential album covers (including one where we just see their heads together, which is never seen again). It is possible that the boys moved around and changed places for a second or third photo, which was later chosen to be their album cover. Secondly, even if they had only taken one photograph standing in those specific poses, with a good photo editing program it would take about 5 seconds to make Token and Butters switch places, if they decided it would look better that way.

Twotall

Death - S1-E6

Corrected entry: When Death is watching Terrance and Phillip, they are wearing astronaut suits with the American Flag on them. But since Terrance and Phillip are Canadian, shouldn't the Canadian Flag be present on their suits instead of the American one?

Correction: Not if they are doing a skit show where they play the part of American astronauts. They are comedians, after all.

Twotall

Show generally

Corrected entry: In episode 8-14 "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset," Paris Hilton is defeated in the "Whore Off" by Mr. Slave. Soon she meets the Frog King who tells her that she must travel through Mr. Slave's intestine or she will surely die. The problem is that when the hamster Lemmiwinks freed himself in Season Six, episode 14, all of Mr. Slave's "friends" were freed with him, including the Frog King. Why did they come back?

Correction: Well, seeing how all of Lemmiwinks' "helpers" inside Mr. Slave were spiritual, it is impossible to say for certain what their exact limitations and powers were. One possible explanation is that the Frog King really did leave mr. Slave, but chose to reappear inside him when needed to help others who would be trapped there. Or it is possible that they had gained the freedom to leave, but never actually did so. It basically boils down to a character decision, which is not a mistake unless you specifically know their motivations.

Twotall

The Tooth Fairy's TATS 2000 - S4-E1

Corrected entry: During the dentists conference, the main speaker is showing a slide showing the half chicken - half squirrel solving an algebra problem. The problem is done incorrectly.

Correction: Character mistake, not a show mistake.

Twotall

Red Sleigh Down - S6-E17

Corrected entry: Santa's reindeer can fly around the world at super speed, but can't avoid bullets?

Correction: They were caught off guard and had no training in dodging bullets (they are Santa's reindeer, after all).

Up the Down Steroid - S8-E2

Corrected entry: Timmy and Jimmy would not have competed in the same heats in the Special Olympics because they have different disabilities. Timmy would have competed in the wheelchair division, while Jimmy would have competed in the Down Syndrome division.

Correction: Jimmy has Cerebral Palsy, not Downs Syndrome.

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the school classroom the alphabet above the chalkboard is all screwed up with the alphabet in capitals being normal but the lower case letters are all jumbled up.

Tobin OReilly

Correction: Yes, that's true, but it is an ongoing joke. How can the kids learn if even the alphabet is all screwed up? As Stan said himself, "We just fake it to shut him up."

Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut (2) - S2-E2

Corrected entry: When Mrs. Cartman goes in to ask for an abortion, the person at the counter claims that Cartman, at eight years old, is in the "fortieth trimester." Since a trimester is about three months long, 40 would mean about 10 years since conception, or a child of about 9 years and 3 months. An eight-year-old, plus three trimesters of development, would actually be in the thirty-fifth trimester.

Kathy Tjarks

Correction: It was a rough estimation.

Erection Day - S9-E7

Corrected entry: Why doesn't Jimmy know what to do with an erection? In episode 6-16: "My Future Self n' Me," he says that he and his girlfriend took ecstasy and had sex.

DavidK93

Correction: In "My Future Self n' Me", Jimmy was telling a joke. This is obvious because among other things, if he'd actually taken ecstasy then he wouldn't have been afraid to touch the marijuana. Jimmy presumably heard the "in her vagina" joke somewhere and just recognized it'd be funny in that situation.

Krazy Kripples - S7-E2

Corrected entry: When Cartman bursts into the church to announce the "cripple fight", Kyle's parents are inside. What are they doing at church? They're Jewish.

Correction: Perhaps they attended because they were invited? Because it was friendship day? Because they wanted to see a Christian service? Or because of any other possible reason.

Rlvlk

Free Hat - S6-E9

Corrected entry: One of the guys says that they had always meant to have dewback lizards in the background, but the lizard appears in the foreground.

xx:xx:xx

Sol Parker

Correction: A) This is a joke about idiot directors. B) "In the background", in film, actually can refer to everything but the primary action of the scene.

Professor Chaos - S6-E6

Corrected entry: Usually Butters' house has a green interior, during this episode, it has a dark blue interior.

Sol Parker

Correction: This is not an error. A green interior switching to a blue interior within the same episode or scene would be an error. Good Trivia? Yes. Mistake? No.

Cartmanland - S5-E6

Corrected entry: In this episode, Cartman's grandmother leaves him a million dollars that he immediately uses to buy an amusement park. This is not possible AT ALL. Firstly, Cartman is a minor. If his grandmother left him that much money she would have put it in trust and he wouldn't have been able to get it all at once until he was of age. Secondly, he would not have received the money that quickly. It can take from months to years before the payout on an estate begins. It is an extremely frustrating process (I would know, when my grandfather died it took almost a year before we saw a dime.) And even if by some miracle Cartman got the money that day, he would not have been able to buy an amusement park because, again, he is a minor. Minors cannot buy property in the state of Colorado. Also, he would not have received exactly a million dollars even if that is what his grandmother left him, as it would be taxed unless it was in a government bond, which was not mentioned at the will reading. Therefore, this episode is a COMPLETE impossibility.

Correction: It is a cartoon that has no ties to reality. Stan's dad ends up in the hospital because he "got served". Kenny used to die in every single episode and reappear in the next like nothing ever happened. Aliens visited and placed a satellite tracking system in Cartman's butt. Kyle underwent "Negroplasty" surgey (to become a tall black kid) and his dad became a dolphin. The laws of reality and the legal system of the real Colorado have nothing to do with South Park.

Rlvlk

You Got F*cked in the Ass - S8-E4

Corrected entry: According to the newspaper, Butters's loose shoe caused the deaths of 8 people. Yet, in the flashback, more people die.

Correction: They show 8 people get killed, and the others could've been injured.

Chickenlover - S2-E4

Corrected entry: After the chicken lover is caught he claims he did it to help Barbrady learn to read. But Barbrady admitted to himself and the rest of South Park he couldn't read while already investigating the case.

Correction: Exactly - so Barbrady had to force himself to learn how to read in order to solve the case, because it's only after he's learned to read that the Chicken Lover is caught.

Cartman Gets an Anal Probe - S1-E1

Corrected entry: When Cartman gets home from school and tells his mom about his day and about the kids calling him fat, he has gloves. then when he starts to sit on the couch, he has no gloves on.

Correction: Cartman would have had plenty of time to take his gloves off between the shots.

Best Friends Forever - S9-E4

Corrected entry: How can Kenny afford a PSP? He is dirt poor and his family is constantly on welfare.

New this week Correction: Maybe the PSP, or the money for it, was a gift from a relative. Maybe Kenny's parents had extra money for some reason (i.e. gift, or winning a few hundred dollars from a lottery ticket). Maybe a store was offering a payment plan.

Correction: Not a error, lots of people on welfare have some nice things.

Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes - S8-E9

Corrected entry: When entering Wall-Mart, Mrs. Brofloski points to Grandpa Marsh and says to Stan's mom, "Isn't that your father?". Grandpa Marsh is the father of Stan's dad.

Correction: Mrs. Brofloski was asking a question, that was never answered, so the answer would be "No, he's my Father-in-law." Or if she really considered him a Dad, she could answer "Yes".

Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics - S3-E15

Corrected entry: During the dreidel song Kyle's mother comes in, but you can barely hear her voice. This is because the woman that played all of the female voices committed suicide in the middle of the 3rd season, so they had to find another person and they turned down the sound of her voice so no one would hear any differences between the real voice and the voice they used in this episode.

Correction: Not quite. It is true that Mary Kay Bergman killed herself in the middle of season three, but it actually is her voice in this episode. The songs from this episode were from an album the creators put out of the same title (Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics.) The album was recorded and released long before this episode aired. They simply animated an episode to the album because they were stuck with no female voices after the only one was dead and had no other ideas or time to think of any. The reason Kyle's mother sounds like that is due to the mono sound systems on most TVs. Since albums are meant to be heard on CD players, stereo versions of the songs are usually created. If a stereo song is played on a mono device (such as a TV,) some sounds may be muffled or completely blocked out (if you don't believe me, play Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band on a DVD player with no surround sound system or stereo.) Matt and Trey probably had no time to worry about stereo/mono conversions and simply aired it as it was. When I watched my season 3 DVD on my portable DVD player (which has stereo,) her voice was at normal volume.

Helen Keller! The Musical - S4-E13

Corrected entry: After Cartman's mom tells him he has twenty minutes to finish his play, Cartman says "Did Tim Rice's mom give him twenty minutes to write the lyrics to 'Phantom of the Opera?'" Tim Rice did not write the lyrics to "Phantom of the Opera," Charles Hart did. This was not a deliberate mistake or a comment derived from Cartman's stupidity, as musical theatre is too obscure of a topic for fans to laugh at when Cartman screws up its information.

Correction: As a matter of fact, it is precisely a character's mistake due to Cartman's obtuseness, and it is not that obscure of a topic if a fan just like yourself picks up on his blunder.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Chef is never shown from his side. He's either facing the camera or facing directly away from it, even when he's walking across the screen, not turning 90 degrees like other characters.

Correction: Chef is shown walking side on in the episode Cartman Gets an Anal Probe (series 1). For what it's worth, I first read this trivia entry yesterday and thought "Hey, that's right." Then last night I just happened to see Cartman Gets an Anal Probe on TV and there it was.

Roger Ebert Should Lay Off the Fatty Foods - S2-E11

Corrected entry: Dr. Adams has a rare bone disorder that prevents his pronouncing the "T" in planetarium. But when he is hypnotising the children, he refers to it as the planetarium with the "T".

Correction: That's the whole point, he's hypnotised the entire town so whenever he says "planetarium" with the "T" he has them under his spell. To cover this he can't say "planetarium" normally else they'll slip into a conditioned response and give the game away, hence he fakes the disorder.

The Super Best Friends - S5-E3

Corrected entry: If Jesus can fly like he does at the end of the episode, why did he need to take an airplane to the Super Best Friends Headquarters?

Correction: Jesus' flying at the end doesn't mean he can fly literally cross-country. I can run pretty easily during a football game, but that doesn't mean I can run to South Park, CO from Washington, D.C.

Good Times With Weapons - S8-E1

Corrected entry: When Kyle is talking about getting rid of the weapons, Cartman says he can't throw away something he paid $15 for. At the booth that sold the weapons, the nunchucks were priced at $7.95

Correction: Cartman sucks at math. Its well established (such as the "Cow Days" episode, where Cartman remarks "Yeah, but I forgot I suck at math.").

Good Times With Weapons - S8-E1

Corrected entry: If Butters had been hit that hard in the head with a saw blade, he'd be in a much more critical state in which he'd pass out in seconds.

Correction: He was hit with a shuriken, not a saw blade. The shuriken weighed a few grams (well less than a pound), like all such devices.

Up the Down Steroid - S8-E2

Corrected entry: You can't leave 'disability' blank. It's the most important question that has to be filled out, as it determines the participants division.

Correction: Congratulations: you've discovered the entire point of that joke.

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the first episode "Cartman gets an Anal Probe" Stan throws up whenever Wendy tries to talk to him. He also throws up at gore during "South Park Bigger, Longer and Uncut". But he rarely pukes at gore or when Wendy speaks to him in the episodes.

Correction: This isn't a goof, its just the characters' personalities and behavior changing. Its no different from Cartman's voice being different in the 9th season as compared to the 1st season.

Starvin' Marvin in Space! - S3-E13

Corrected entry: The cheesy song button is the same button that activates the wormhole.

Correction: So? To quote Prof. Farnsworth in Futurama, "it can do other things." I have only two buttons on my mouse on my laptop, but clicking the mouse does different things in different situations.

Show generally

Corrected entry: Cut-out characters frequently cast shadows on the background where they shouldn't. A good example is during "Weight gain 4000" - when Mr Garrison is talking to officer Barbrady, he casts a shadow on the sky. This is very noticeable on almost every episode.

Correction: This isn't a mistake, its part of the gag of the show: the incredibly simplistic animated style isn't intended to be photorealistic. Incidentally, the only episode of the show that is cut-outs is "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe." Every subsequent episode is animated via computer software.

Weight Gain 4000 - S1-E3

Corrected entry: When Mayor McDaniels goes on her rant, her aide says that her microphone is on, even though there is no point to do that as everyone had already left.

Sol Parker

Correction: That still doesn't make it a good idea. Most of the people are walking away and are still in earshot of the speakers.

Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000 - S4-E2

Corrected entry: The same two cars leading the car chase are the same two cars that are in the front of the road block - how did they get past so quick?

Sol Parker

Correction: It wouldnt be particularly hard, considering Cartman's 'car' was travelling at about 5 mph.

Proper Condom Use - S5-E7

Corrected entry: In the episode about the sex education, when Mr. Mackey is talking to Miss Chokesondick he says his head kept growing and growing but his body stayed normal, yet in the episode when he becomes a hippy he takes off his tie meaning his tie made his head big.

gandolfs dad

Correction: It is perfectly possible that Mr. Mackey has been wearing a tie since childhood, and never took it off. After all, it's South Park, and there are a lot of weird things going on there (like characters never changing their clothes and the town being destroyed a few times a month).

It's Christmas in Canada - S7-E15

Corrected entry: In the South Park timeline, Saddam Hussein was secretly killed by US forces quite some time ago. That is how he went to Hell, became romantically involved with Satan, and was ultimately banished to Heaven with the Mormons, where he was last seen building weapons of mass destruction under the guise of a cookie factory. So how is it that he's now alive and usurping the Prime Ministry of Canada? Kenny repeatedly returning from the dead is an established fact of the show, but the Saddam subplot has been maintained consistently throughout the show's lifetime, except in this instance.

DavidK93

Correction: One of the points was that Saddam was stranded in Heaven (which he certainly loathed), he could have been either kicked out or found a way back to Earth.

Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery - S3-E10

Corrected entry: Why doesn't Kyle's Grandma's grave have a Star of David on it? The Brofloskis are Jewish.

Correction: Kyle's grandmother would not be a Broslofski by birth - her family may not have been Jewish.

Show generally

Corrected entry: After the episodes "Cartman's mom is a dirty slut" and "Cartman's mom is still a dirty slut," in which we find out that Cartman's mom is actually his father and his mother is yet to be found, Cartman's mom is still always mentioned as Cartman's mom even when the kids say Cartman has no mom, and also they say he has no dad.

Sol Parker

Correction: They call her "Cartman's mom" out of habit.

Xofer

Show generally

Corrected entry: The American flag in front of the school has an incorrect star formation.

Sol Parker

Correction: Almost certainly intentional.

Jared Has Aides - S6-E1

Corrected entry: Cartman said Jared got to eat all the sandwiches he wanted, but this is not true, he was on a pretty strict diet and only ate certain sandwiches.

Sol Parker

Correction: This is not a mistake because Cartman said it. For one, Cartman is stupid and gets things wrong all the time. In addition, many people in real life make the same mistake because no one pays attention to the diet information in the commercials, just the fact that he lost weight by eating Subway.

Professor Chaos - S6-E6

Corrected entry: When the boys are at the amusement park with all their potential new friends, Ike is with them, not only is Ike Kyle's little brother who is in kindergarten, not 4th grade like all the other kids, but Kyle is always trying to get rid of Ike. Why would Ike be in competition to be one of the friends?

Sol Parker

Correction: Since Ike is always following Kyle around, he obviously wants to be one of the boys. Kyle probably let Ike enter the contest just to get his entry fee, with no real intention of letting Ike make the final 10.
