To Tell the Truth - S6-E15

First, Do No Harm - S6-E5

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Roz and Frasier are in Cafe Nervosa, and she is snoozing, while a half-eaten muffin sits in front her. As she wakes up and talks to Frasier, the muffin appears whole again. She leaves and Martin comes in and takes her seat. A shot then shows the muffin as half-eaten again, even though no one has touched it.

Three Valentines - S6-E14

Continuity mistake: In Cassandra's hotel room, Frasier gets two small bottles of brandy and manages to pour them into separate glasses while holding both bottles. Pretty hard to do. He never puts one down and grips it to open it.

Continuity mistake: Donny and Daphne are talking to everyone at breakfast and the positions of the paper bag and the table napkin in front of Donny change from one shot to the next. (00:06:50)

Three Valentines - S6-E14

Continuity mistake: At the end of the scene Niles opens the apartment door and waves his arm; the little white cloth is thrown and lands under him as he faints and hits the floor. Eddie heads for the couch and the shot shows the white cloth on the floor in the hall outside the apartment door. (00:11:20)

When a Man Loves Two Women - S6-E21

Continuity mistake: Niles is trying to convince Frasier to play squash - he has his hands on the back of Frasier's chair. Cassandra comes out of the kitchen and we see one of Niles' hands on Frasier's shoulder. In the next shot, both hands are back on the chair, even though there was no time for this to happen naturally. (00:02:35)

IQ - S6-E19

Continuity mistake: Near the start of the show, Roz arrives at Frasier's with baby Alice. She is standing near the balcony door in her black gown when suddenly a white spit-up cloth appears on her shoulder that had not been there previously in the scene.

Selling Out - S1-E9

Frasier: Roger, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. Roger, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your problem.

Show generally

Question: Counting his role on Cheers, Kesley Grammar has played Fraiser for twenty years. Is this the record for the longest portrayal of a character by a TV actor?

Answer: It equals the record of James Arness of "Gunsmoke" for the actor who's played the same part on TV NOT in a soap opera. If you include soaps there are two main contenders - William Roache, who's been playing Ken Barlow in "Coronation Street" in the UK since 1960. Don Hastings has been playing Robert Hughes in US soap "As the World Turns" since 1960 as well.
