Frasier's Imaginary Friend - S5-E1
Continuity mistake: When Frasier is talking to Niles and Martin in the restaurant (when he is supposed to be meeting Kelly) and the level in his wine glass alternates between being half full and almost empty and back again.
Continuity mistake: In one of the sequences where Niles and Shenkman are running in and out of the bedroom, Shenkman sprays perfume around the bed. The roses that were on the pillow have now completely disappeared and never reappear although neither Niles nor Shenkman touched them.
Continuity mistake: When Frasier is in his booth with Bulldog lecturing him about his phony hero status, Bulldog is eating a cookie that goes from being semi-circular to having a large round bite out of it and then back to being semi-circular again.
Frasier's Imaginary Friend - S5-E1
Continuity mistake: When Frasier gets up to get out of the plane seat between the married couple, he is clutching his coat and boarding pass in his left hand/arm but when he reaches the aisle, they are in his right hand.
The Kid (2) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: Roz and Frasier are in her apartment, talking. Roz is leaning back on her arm, sitting on her bed. In the next shot her hands are in front of her. The items on the bed behind her have also changed positions.
Continuity mistake: Roz and Frasier are in Cafe Nervosa near the start of the show and her sunglasses are on the table. However, in a shot over Frasier's shoulder, they are not there anymore. They reappear in the next shot.
Frasier Gotta Have It - S5-E19
Continuity mistake: Roz brings a folder of papers from work, which she puts down on the end of Frasier's coffee table where it lies diagonally for most of the scene except during one shot where it is lying perpendicular to the table.
Perspectives on Christmas - S5-E9
Continuity mistake: In the cafe, Roz says ".....because I've gotten so fat," and you see her lift her coffee cup to her face. In the next shot (largely of Frasier) you can just see the edge of the cup as she lifts it up again.
Continuity mistake: Frasier is recounting what happened in Cafe Nervosa and we see the flashback - he is explaining why Bulldog is not a hero. In the flashback, we see Bulldog grab hold of Roz and he throws his coffee supposedly towards the gunman. However, the shot shows the cup rolling back towards where Bulldog was standing. In the next shot, we see the coffee cup again, hurtling towards the gunman, and spilling coffee on him.
The Kid (2) - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: After Rick has left Roz's apartment, she goes into the kitchen with the roses and just as she gets there Frasier knocks on the door. Within a couple of seconds she comes back with the roses in a vase, but she just didn't have enough time to do this in "real time".
Continuity mistake: When Niles leaves the bedroom where he thinks he will meet Maris, her lover Shenkman comes in and notices the two roses crossed on the pillow. Once he crosses over to the bed, though, the roses have noticeably changed position.
Continuity mistake: While Frasier, Niles, Martin, and Roz are in Cafe Nervosa, and as Clint comes in, the extra in the background is reading a newspaper, which goes from opened to closed to opened from shot to shot, with no time for her to change it.
Revealing mistake: At the end of the episode when Frasier reveals to everyone that Roz is the one who's pregnant, we see Peri Gilpin step into the shot at the top of the stairs too early. She steps back behind the wall and then walks back out again a second later to say her line.
Continuity mistake: Quite late in the show, Nikos and Frasier are sitting down talking. Behind Nikos someone picks up a glass of wine which is next to a bottle. The next shot shows a plate there as well, even though no one put one down. It disappears a couple of shots later - again, no one went near it.
The Life of the Party - S5-E22
Continuity mistake: At the singles party Frasier throws, Roz tells him she's in labour. She is not holding anything, but soon a small purse appears in her right hand, out of nowhere. When Vicky says "good luck" to her, the purse is nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: While talking to Niles at the party, Daphne's eyes are tearing because of an allergy. In one shot we see her put a tissue to her right eye, but the next shot shows her dabbing it to her left eye.
Continuity mistake: As Roz is introduced to Clint, there is nothing on the console where Frasier is standing. But as the scene progresses, a clipboard suddenly appears there, without human assistance.
Perspectives on Christmas - S5-E9
Continuity mistake: Daphne puts a couple of Christmas bags on Marty's chair; the one facing the camera has a Santa on it and behind that are pieces of pink paper sticking up about 6 inches. The pink paper is sometimes visible, and sometimes isn't, as the scene progresses, from the same angle.
Continuity mistake: When Lilith arrives at Frasier's, she is moving her hands, rearranging her wrap and her purse is in her left hand. Without time for her to change it, in the next shot her purse is in her right hand.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the show, Frasier gets a cup and saucer for Niles and pours him just a tiny bit of tea. But when we see the cup again, it's about 3/4 full.
Answer: In the last episode, they explained that Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs is a metaphor for the mixed-up people to whom Frasier dispenses his radio psychiatric advice.
