Trivia: Tina Fey used her own personal retainer for the movie. The filmmakers added sugar syrup to make it extra nasty for the film and Fey said her teeth hurt for 3 days (Entertainment Weekly, 16 Apr 2010).

Continuity mistake: When Greg and Rowley were sprayed with the milk like substance at Halloween by the 3 thugs in the red pick up, they ran off. Shortly after, their costumes and Rowley's shield showed no traces at all of the milk like substance.

Trivia: The director was not expecting the unintentional movie audience laughter when Alice's vision to Aro shows Edward and Bella running in slow motion through the woods as vampires. Jokingly, he says it is because Edward runs like a girl. (Audio commentary.)

Trivia: Director Chris Weitz did a little trick when Edward gets out of the truck after Bella's birthday party and they are arguing. They put Edward next to the camera on the right but used a double dressed like Edward in the driver's seat. When Edward gets out, it is the double and then when the real Edward steps in front of the camera it appears he got there faster than humanly possible. (Entertainment Weekly, Jan 1, 2010).

Trivia: Considering Dan Brown's works anti-Catholic blasphemies, the Catholic church would not allow Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard to shoot film scenes in two historic cathedrals in Italy's capital city: Santa Mariadel Popolo and Santa Maria della Vittoria. They were allowed to film external shots only.
