The Birdcage (1996)

Corrected entry: In the beach scene Albert wears a floppy brim sun hat. Walking back to their home from the beach Albert is wearing a hard brim sun hat. In the cafe when Albert is walking like John Wayne he again wears the floppy brim hat.

RVTraveler

Correction: He also has his bag with him, which holds an assortment of accessories, including hats.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Corrected entry: When the group is in the Land of Oz and are getting out of the carriage to go to the "refresh room", the Tin Man's tights can be seen crinkling as he steps down from the carriage, showing that he is not "tin", or at least not completely.

Correction: All of his joints "crinkle." Not to mention that his face is obviously not solid tin. Nothing ever says he's "completely" made of tin, there's no reason why parts of his body can't be made of another substance.

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie when Keith runs after Watts, she wipes her tears away on her right side of her face but in the next shot, the tears are still there...

Correction: It's not the very next shot. It cuts back to Keith between the two, and Watts has been steadily crying. She obviously wiped some tears while more fell, accounting for tears being on her cheeks afterward.

Friends (1994)

Show generally

Corrected entry: In episode 8.15, Phoebe accepts saltwater taffy treats from Ross saying she has never eaten them before when in episode 2.23, she mentioned that her then boyfriend, Ryan, a guy who is in the navy, gave her saltwater taffy for playing her guitar because he didn't have any change.

macaroon

Correction: That doesn't mean she ate it. I wouldn't eat a piece of candy some stranger put in my bag.

Tangled (2010)

Corrected entry: After Rapunzel slides down from the tower, she lies in the grass at the base of the tower. She gets up to chase white dandelion petals and steps in water. The next shot shows that she is now a few yards away from the tower even though she only took a few steps. In that same shot as the camera zooms out, Flynn Rider is nowhere to been seen since he was climbing down the tower. (00:31:00)

Jennifurball

Correction: The tower is out of the shot long enough for him to finish climbing down it. He's shown to climb up and down very quickly, and is more than halfway down when she starts her descent, so in the time it takes her to roll in the grass and step into the pond, he could easily be on the ground.

Tangled (2010)

Corrected entry: Flynn rides Maximus to Rapunzel's tower as he hurries to her rescue. Clearly for the rest of the scene - especially if you look all around the ground during Mother Gothel's fall, and in the final shot of the tower - he has gone. (01:40:00)

Correction: There's plenty of places he could be, including leaving altogether. Not seeing him is not a mistake, he wasn't likely to simply wait at the bottom of the tower.

Tangled (2010)

Corrected entry: When Mother Gothel falls, she reduces to dust, and the only remainder of her that lands is her cloak. If you look closely at the ground on the bottom of the tower - in the very next shot after Rapunzel first kisses Flynn - it's completely missing. (01:40:05)

Correction: The exact spot is never shown again. As they pan down, it stops just short of giving a full view with where her cloak fell.

Tangled (2010)

Corrected entry: When the thugs rescue Flynn when he is being taken to be hanged, his hands are chained. These chains disappear without any time or method of removing them.

Correction: Flynn isn't on screen through his entire escape. It's obvious the ruffians have everything planned, so of course they also brought a way to remove his chains, we just don't see it happen on screen.

Tangled (2010)

Corrected entry: After stabbing Flynn and accepting Rapunzel's plea to heal him, Mother Gothel locks him to a chain to prevent him from following them. And so, Flynn is confined for the rest of the final scene of the tower - verily before and after Rapunzel heals him. It is inferred that Gothel, who eventually dies, is the only person who has the key to the cuff. The subsequent scene shows Flynn has somehow made it back the kingdom with Rapunzel, but how did he get loose from the chain? (01:40:05)

Correction: It's also "inferred" that Rapunzel, having been locked in the tower since birth, could easily uncover any hiding places. Or Mother Gothel had it on her and it was recovered. Or they were able to get a blacksmith to remove it. There are any number of possibilities.

Corrected entry: Author Thomas Harris has never watched the film because he's afraid that it'll influence his writing.

Correction: This is not true. Harris stated that he saw it when it was released and was very pleased with the movie.

White Lock

Correction: As it happens with stories "too good to be true" probably some details changed throughout the years; the idea is that he refused to watch the movie and told director Demme so citing the example of LeCarre and his experience with the adaptation of his books, sparking this 'myth', which was tough based on actual statements. But in the 1991 New York Magazine feature by Phoebe Hoban, Harris is reported to have watched the movie, indeed (even if I don't find the 'when it was released' claim of the correction), and in recent interviews his story has been that he refused to watch it but after the Oscars he just happened to stumble upon it flipping channels on TV.

Sammo

Corrected entry: On board the boat, Naveen chops up several vegetables. He knocks the plate to the floor of the boat. In the next shot, all the spilled food has vanished.

Correction: Already submitted and corrected.

White Lock

Corrected entry: In the scene where they are watching the report, Carlisle hesitates a little with he remote, then turns the tv off. After he does that we still here the last N when the reporter says CNN.

Correction: Many newer TVs (which the Cullens would surely have) have a lag between pressing the remote power button and the TV actually turning off, allowing for the end of a word/sentence/call letter sequence to be heard even after pressing the off button.

Twilight (2008)

Correction: In the moment that the camera is off him, there's plenty of time for even a normal person to tip their head to the other side, much less a vampire who moves at lightning speed.

The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Correction: "The Tin Man" is merely a name Dorothy gives him when she sees he's silver. What he's actually made of is never stated.

Steel Magnolias (1989)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Jackson comes home and finds Jack Jr. sitting in the floor crying and Shelby unconscious on the steps, the refrigerator door is open in the kitchen. But Shelby was in the sunroom dressing Jackson in his costume when she became ill. Either she left the refrigerator door open before she went out to put him in his costume or when she went back in to call her husband, she crawled all the way into the kitchen and opened the door, but neither scenario makes sense. Also, she had to go back inside to call Jackson, but he finds her unconscious with the phone back out in the sunroom. She was barely able to move, so it's unlikely that she would take the phone from inside the house and crawl back out to the sunroom with it.

Correction: She had a cramp when dressing Jack Jr, she didn't fully collapse then. It's possible she grabbed the phone and pulled at the fridge as she was heading outside, and was able to walk for part of it. Things being "unlikely" don't make them impossible or a film mistake.

Corrected entry: When the caterers start arriving for Melanie and Andrew's southern wedding, one of the trucks is a big red one with the name "3 Cheers Party Rentals" on it with several big cities named where it has offices. A quick check of this company on the Internet shows the company began in 2007. "Sweet Home Alabama" was released in 2002, five years BEFORE the company was started.

moviemaker

Correction: It's a fictional company. Perhaps the one started five years later got their name from the movie, but "Three Cheers Party Rental" isn't exactly the most obscure party company name.

Corrected entry: For a chipmunk who is so blind he cannot see a toaster waffle land right in front of him Simon, is really good about placing the bowl directly under the flow of cheese balls. He stops going back when the balls stop hitting his head, then looks up and precisely moves the bowl to catch the bulk of cheese balls coming down.

Correction: That's entirely possible. I'm blind as a bat but can see a consistent bright colored stream easily, whereas a small flying neutral colored object would easily be missed.

Singles (1992)

Corrected entry: In the scene near the end of the movie when Janet (Bridget Fonda) and Cliff (Matt Dillon) are on the elevator in their apartment building, why is Cliff on the elevator - he lives in a basement apartment. We see his apartment in a previous scene where Janet comes through his opened front door and there are stairs leading down, and at the beginning of the movie when Scott Campbell points to where all of his neighbours live.

PearlJammer1964

Correction: Visiting another neighbor, putting something in storage, etc. There are several reasons he might be on the elevator at any time.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Alice & Charlie are talking on the steps outside Charlie's house, they are standing still, but in the next shot they are walking down the steps.

Correction: They're standing on the front porch talking as Bella pulls up, then begin walking down the stairs as it cuts to another angle. No error or change in position.

Made of Honor (2008)

Corrected entry: Hannah tells Tom that Colin is a duke, but when Tom gets to Scotland, he is introduced to Colin's father. A person gets to be a duke when the current duke (usually the person's father) dies.

Correction: This is not the sole way to become a duke. For instance, Prince Andrew is the Duke of York even though his father is still living (and is the Duke of Edinburgh). It's possible to have the honor bestowed upon him by the Queen for having performed a great service.
