Vision Quest (1985)

Factual error: Swain was leading to Shute 9-13. He got an escape, then a takedown, then a fall. The score should have been 12-13 when he got the fall, but the scoreboard still showed 9-13 after the match when he was celebrating with his team. (01:43:33)

Cast Away (2000)

Factual error: When Chuck cleans out the pocket of the dead pilot, we see the pilot's employee ID badge. He is employee number 186801 and was hired in 1987. I was hired in 1992 with an ID number of 161XXX. My brother was hired in 1988 with an ID number of 88XXX. The pilot's ID number should have been lower than my brother's.

Factual error: When they track the down the snake keeper that had the snakes he was bitten. The snake expert went into the fridge for the anti-venom and it was already mixed in the vial. He then loaded a syringe with the antivenin. This is a major flaw. Antivenoms have to be mixed. They are never in a vial ready to go. They are always mixed and warmed in a solution prior to administration.

Factual error: When Neville Flynn is going to reset the breaker for the A/C he is in the cargo hold. He moves aside a shipping container, a unit load device (ULD). This unit load device had a big sticker across the top of the side. All ULDs are required by FAA regulations to have the identifying number on all four sides at the highest, most visible point. There was no identifying number on the front and there was none on the side. Where one belonged there was a big Pacific Air sticker. This was more than likely covering up the ULD number that was borrowed from another airlines.

Ken Park (2002)

Factual error: When Tate is playing Scrabble with his Grandparents, his grandfather tries to use "SIPI" as a word. Tate challenges that word. He looks it up in the dictionary to find out if it is not a word. He then says, "I see sip and sepia, but no sipi." To find sipi, he would have to look after sip, not before sip. Sepia comes before sip. He should have said, depending on which dictionary, "I see sip and sir, but no sipi."

Saving Silverman (2001)

Factual error: When Judith wakes up chained to the engine block she notices the Sony camera on a pole. The guys are presumably watching her through that camera. The problem is that there are no cables running from that camera to provide the video feed to the TV. Sony cameras always have the video output connections on the front right hand side. There are no cables attached to this camera. (00:35:40)

Saving Silverman (2001)

Factual error: When Wayne and J.D. mail off the pictures to Judith they have it addressed to Seattle, WA 21709. In actuality zip code 21709 is for State Farm Insurance Company in Frederick, MD. (00:23:55)

Crazy in Alabama (1999)

Factual error: When Lucille wins $32,400 at the casino she is paid in 16 packs of $20 bills. This equals $32,000. The $400 is missing from the money the cage cashier slid to her. The $400 should/would have been loose money, but all the money she received was strapped. (00:41:40)

Wall Street (1987)

Factual error: When Bud gives Carl his dividend check for the money he borrowed, they walk by a DC-9 aircraft. That aircraft has the tail number N901AX. The airline is Bluestar. but AX is the suffix for all Airborne Express planes. (01:01:00)

Wall Street (1987)

Factual error: After Bud's conversation with Gordon in the park he goes to a restaurant bathroom. The agents are waiting for him. He open his shirt, they rip the tape recorder off of him then immediately begin to play the conversation. It picks up right where the evidence is. No one had time to rewind the tape. (01:58:45)

Bedazzled (2000)

Factual error: When Elliot is the sensitive guy he picks up the guitar to sing a song to Allison. The guitar has a capo on it. During the song Elliot is changing cords and finger placement. He makes a cord above the capo. This would not be possible since the capo effectively cuts off the strings at the point of the capo. Any finger movement above the capo would not change the chord at all. (00:43:00)

Factual error: After Fat Bastard's sumo match he goes to the toilet -- a Western style toilet. The sumo arena, especially the locker room area, would be traditionally Japanese. There is no way that a Western style, sit down toilet would be found there. What we should see is a silhouette of Fat Bastard squatting down over a Japanese style toilet which is like a trough in the floor. (00:48:00)

Factual error: Mel tells Bobbie that his car is a Coupe De Ville. We see later in the movie that the car has four doors. The Cadillac is actually a Sedan De Ville.

luchador

Factual error: When Ben Stiller gets done "cleaning the pipes", he looks around the bathroom for "the missing hair gel", it is shown hanging from his ear when he answers the door. This is somewhat unrealistic. This glob of "hair gel" would never have hung onto his ear for as long as it did. It would have dripped onto his shoulder long before he reached the door.

The Toy (1982)

Factual error: When Jack Brown is talking to his wife on the phone telling her about the money US Bates is going to pay him, he is walking around the room. The phone does not have a cord connecting it to the wall but certainly is not a cordless model.

luchador

Factual error: In the state championship game it is 4th and inches for Carter. Permian stops the play and tackles the runner around the 37 yard line. We see this with the two "X"s on the field for kickoffs which are at the 35 and 40 yard lines. We also see the 30 yard line that he is hit at before being backed up. The announcer says 1st and 10 from the 25. That is the wrong spot for the ball. (01:38:20)

Factual error: When the coach and his family are leaving Wal-Mart , we get to see the new color scheme for Wal-Mart stores. In the '80's Wal-Mart store signs and exteriors were painted in brown and white. This sign is blue and white with red and blue stripes down the building. This is obviously a modern Wal-Mart building. (01:16:00)

luchador

Factual error: The Bank of America logo seen atop the scoreboard is a relatively new logo from the mid 1990's. It was not in existence in 1988 so should not be in the movie. (00:56:25)

Without a Paddle (2004)

Factual error: When the 3 guys have just safely gone through the rapids, they hear a roaring sound. This is leading to a waterfall. The water around them and the leaves in the water are perfectly still. A few seconds later they are going over the waterfall. A river just before a waterfall would have a strong current leading to the waterfall. this should have been the case with the river, but there was no current whatsoever prior to the waterfall.

The Client (1994)

Factual error: When Mark and Reggie are fighting over whether or not to go to New Orleans, Mark starts walking toward the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge. There would be no need to cross that bridge as New Orleans is due south on Interstate 55. The Memphis-Arkansas Bridge is Interstate 40 and goes to Little Rock, AR or north to St. Louis.
