Question: If the Phantom is so in love with Christine why does he just let her go? We know that he is prepared to kill (and has) for her so it can't be that his moral compass prevents him from forcing her to love him. Seems to be slightly counter productive considering the fact that Christine actually consents to being with him.

Question: This may be ignorant but what exactly does half-a-virgin mean?
Answer: Many girls will consider themselves half virgins if they have performed/recieved oral sex but not traditional sex. Or that they had penetration but not orgasm. Some girls also consider themselves half-virgins if it has been an extremely LONG time since they have had sex (meaning that they might as well be virgins again).

Answer: Thumbs up in America means "good job" or "Yes. ok" something along those lines. The Chinese guy has no idea what Liv Tyler and Harry Stamper are talking about in English and just gives the "thumbs up" to him as a way of saying "good job on the oil rig, everything looks great!"

Question: In regards to the judge's rules for the case at the end with the gun manufacturers, can someone explain what he McCoy had to prove? It was something about that he had to prove that the gun manufacturer designed the gun to made as was the use. Does this mean they had to prove it was going to be used for deadly force because of the fault in the guns? It just sounded strange because they were gun manufacturers so I wasn't too sure why they had to prove that.
Chosen answer: McCoy had to prove that the gun manufacturers knew that they gun was being used illegally and that all it took was a simply adjustment. He had to prove that they knew that they (the gun manufacturers) would sell more guns because of the faulty design.

Question: Concerning Peter and Judy's parents - Did Judy, Peter, Allan and Sarah finishing the game somehow "change history" and allow the parents to survive until later? They had originally died in an accident on the Canadian Rockies but at the end they meet an adult Alan and when they mention their holiday plans Alan tries to dissuade them, knowing about their "fated" deaths.
Answer: Finishing the game allowed Robin Williams to grow up. Since he knew that the parents were going to be killed in the mountains, he is trying to dissuade them from going knowing what will happen. If the parents follow what they said (that they would NOT go) then that means they did not die in the mountains.
But *HOW* did he know they'd die in the mountains in the first place? I just rewatched it, and Judy tells Alan their parents are dead too, while Peter tells him their dad was in advertising, but neither mentions how or where they died. The viewer knows from when Nora says it earlier in the movie, but neither Alan or Sarah were told during their time with Judy and Peter, so why would they freak out about a ski vacation?
We don't see every minute of every conversation everyone has with each other. There are scenes where they have obviously been walking for quite some time and whatever conversation they had while walking is left out of the movie as movies don't have time to be that detailed as audiences don't want to sit in theaters for 6 hours. It can be safely assumed that during one of the off screen conversations Alan and/or Sarah was told how the parents died.

Question: What is the point of Dennis Quaid throwing his helmet out the window when the factory is on fire in the beginning of the film?
Answer: Firemen never get rid of their gear in a fire, especially not a helmet. He was unable to reach via radio his crew and when he threw his helmet out the window, it told his crew that he was in trouble and what his position is. They also then have a clue that he is still alive.

Answer: The French captain is most likely the man who claimed to be the doctor or any other man. Aubrey realizes that the captain is not dead and could engineer a coup, so he turns his ship to chase the Acheron.
Question: Why is it Norringtons initial response to Jack saving Elizabeth to kill him?
Answer: Because Jack is a pirate and Norrington hates pirates.

Question: Why is there a "string holder", for lack of a better term, next to the shower, is it there for a plot device to get Connery out of the building or is there a hopefully better reason?
Chosen answer: These are sometimes present in hotels and are used as a makeshift clothesline. This way travelers can handwash clothes and hang them to dry.

Answer: He was so riled up about the amount of trouble that Hart had caused that he probably didn't notice. Also, since the makeover was FBI sponsored, he probably knew about it and possibly had even seen pictures.

Question: At some points in the movie there are red dots near the middle of the screen; I know that they are supposed to help with the respect of copyrights, but how are they supposed to help?
Answer: If a copy is made then when it is reported they can match the red dots to the specific movie screen because each theatre gets a different version of the red dots.
