Spooks (2002)

Episode #9.1 - S9-E1

Factual error: A shipping container has a sign on it written in French, part of which reads "Attente cinq minutes...", which is intended to mean "Wait five minutes..." "Attente" is the noun "wait", not the verb, so the sign should instead read "Attendez cinq minutes..." Another sign reads "2.5m", but this should be "2,5m" as French uses a comma as a decimal point. Transcendence (2014)

Character mistake: The doctor diagnosing Will's illness tells Evelyn and Max that it's caused by "an isotope called polonium." Polonium is a chemical element, not an isotope. The word "isotope" refers to a form of an element (such as carbon-12 or carbon-14) not the element itself. It does not mean "radioactive substance", because many isotopes are stable. A doctor would know this. (00:17:00)

Episode #8.8 - S8-E8

Other mistake: Tariq has been tasked with finding hotel guests who share their surnames with American presidents. His computer screen is shown with the search in progress. The surname "Bush" appears twice (two presidents, but only one surname), and the counts for the two entries are different. In addition, the name "Truman" is misspelled as "Trueman." (00:28:15)

Doctor Who (2005)

The Doctor's Daughter - S4-E6

Other mistake: Martha falls into the bog and Hath Peck rushes down to help her. She calls out "Help me, Peck!" but the subtitles read "Help me peg!" This is just one of many errors in this series' subtitles, which seem to have been added by listening to the dialogue without reference to the script. (00:26:30)

Numb3rs (2005)

Sabotage - S1-E6

Character mistake: In the epilogue, Charlie illustrates the relationship of mathematics to real life by discussing the golden ratio and its presence in a host of real-life situations, including the shape of a nautilus shell and the distribution of petals in a flower. These claims are disputed by some mathematicians (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio#Nature), and the one about the nautilus shell one is untrue (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_spiral#Spirals_in_nature). It's possible Charlie is just repeating what he has read or heard without investigating it for himself, but this is uncharacteristic of him.
