First Blood (1982)

Trivia: The name of the movie is often referred to as referred to as "Rambo: First Blood", but is really just "First Blood." "Rambo" wasn't used until the second movie was released. One can see "Rambo" while searching online guides and TV guides, but that is there for people to know that it is a Rambo movie. The movie doesn't have it in the title screen, release poster, or media releases.

Dredd (2012)

Continuity mistake: After Dredd gets shot by one of the other judges through the wall, he slides to the ground and his head is directly under the hole in the wall. The next wide shot shows him with his head off to the side (Dredd's left). The next camera angle has Dredd right under the hole again. In the final wide angle shot (where the enemy judge gets shot), he is back to being away from the hole.

Species II (1998)

Continuity mistake: When Eve breaks out and proceeds to get gunned down, in the wide shot her arms are out from her body, like a "T." In the close-up, her arms are close to her body and hands are pointing towards her head. When it goes back to the wide-angle shot, her arms are straight out again to the "T" formation.

Other mistake: During patrol before Crazy picks up the stuffed animal, you can see the bottom half of the stuffed animal move slightly up, then back down before the booby trap explodes.

Bull Durham (1988)

Continuity mistake: Jose is using chicken bones shaped as a cross to try to bring him hits. Bobby asks for one tap to try to end a 0-for-16 streak. The scene at one point is centred on Jose with Bobby's back to the camera. His bat is down in his lap. When the camera switches to focus on Bobby, his bat is on his right shoulder like he is ready for an at-bat. It then switches back to Jose, and the bat is in Bobby's lap again.

Factual error: Trevor was driving ECTO-1 at over 60 mph. Podcast was driving the remote car and it was pulling away from ECTO-1. There is no way that the remote car could be going faster than ECTO-1, unless it was souped up, which it didn't appear to be when looking at it.

Suggested correction: There are plenty of RC cars on the market right now that anyone could buy that are capable of going 60+ MPH (the fastest can hit about 100 MPH). And if you take them apart, they don't look "souped up" at all. They just look like regular RC cars inside. Components don't have to look fancy to function fancily. You also have to account for the fact that the movie is highly fantastical, so there's no telling what kind of technology the RC car uses... for all we know, it could be nuclear-powered like the proton packs.

48 Hrs. (1982)

Continuity mistake: When leaving the gas station after their fist fight, Jack floors it and Reggie falls over into the back seat. In the very next shot, Reggie is back in the front seat. There wouldn't be enough time for him to get back into the front after falling head first into the back.

Die Hard (1988)

Continuity mistake: When John and Al are talking, if they have any kids, there is a shot of John's family in his wallet and you can see both thumbs on the wallet. The scene cuts away to John talking, and his left hand is holding the walkie-talkie. There isn't enough time for John to grab the walkie and start talking into it.

Expend4bles (2023)

Continuity mistake: After Christmas gets the file from the safe on the table, the safe door closes. He then steps a little away from the safe while looking at the file and having a conversation with Gina; the next shot of the safe had the door completely open.

Red Dawn (2012)

Continuity mistake: As the policeman, Tom Eckert, is on the megaphone and telling his boys that he loves them and to do what he would do, "to stop this piece of shit," when the camera is at his back, you can see the left shoulder area of the shirt pull in, like he is raising his left arm to point at Captain Cho. When we immediately switch views to the front, we see Tom starting to raise his arm to point, but he had already started the motion (as evidence from the shirt) in the previous shot.

Escape From L.A. (1996)

Continuity mistake: When Snake takes his full-court shot, you see the clock is already at ten points, as he should only have eight points. Basically, they already knew he was going to hit the shot.

Piranha 3D (2010)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, when the sheriff falls into the pond reaching for the boat, she comes out dragging the body but is not wet at all. I guess being in "Back to the Future Part 2" helped her get the self-drying clothes.

Bull Durham (1988)

Continuity mistake: When Nuke is having his dream of playing naked, the first baseman, Jose, is wearing a batting glove on his left hand. He throws left-handed, and he wouldn't be wearing a batting glove on his left hand. Also later in the movie when they are having the conversation about Jimmy/Millie's wedding on the mound, Jose shows up, and his batting glove is now on his right hand, as it should be.

Continuity mistake: After Snake has entered the sports arena, you see a guy playing a basketball game. When it gets closer, you see him moving to the right and take a shot with eight seconds left and with six points. Then, when you get a close-up of the guy again, he is going to the left and the crowd starts counting at ten. He still has only six points. With the rules outlined at the beginning, this would not have been possible. (00:55:30)

Bull Durham (1988)

Factual error: As Annie is giving an update on how the Bulls had a great June and July, they showed highlights of the Bulls playing a team called the "Mustangs." No team in the Carolina League in 1987 (or 1988 when the movie was released) had that team nickname. She also mentioned "kicking the holy shit out of Greensboro in a three-game set." Greensboro didn't have a team in the Carolina League. They had a team in the South Atlantic League. Teams from different leagues don't play each other.
