Zookeeper (2011)

Answer: Most likely that learning that animals could always talk would be a big shock to them and they wouldn't know how to handle it.

What they're (Humans) gonna do if they can't?

Trainman

When a "reality that has always been true" (animals can't talk) turns out to be false, the world as adults knew it is suddenly turned upside-down, which causes stress. The things adults said in the presence of animals were actually understood by them when adults presumed they were not. This could cause anxiety, embarrassment, regret, and other "difficult to handle" emotions. Cruel words directed toward animals ("You're so ugly; "You're stupid") can't be taken back, which would be disturbing.

KeyZOid

The new reality would require a period of adjustment wherein adults would have to deal with and overcome their emotions and any past transgressions toward animals while learning to communicate more effectively and appropriately with them.

Question: How come Chloe didn't tell the other group what happened when she was kidnapped and held by Alves after she been rescued? She told the group on her cell phone that she will talk about it later but she never did.

adamtrainman@aol.com

Answer: My assumption would be a simple "it's not important" explanation. It's one of those typical selfless things in film where the characters don't provide specific information as to not make other characters worry about them, in addition to her intelligence background she may have just thought it would distract them from their main goal. Nothing really "happened" to her that would really drive plot development either, as she was quickly rescued from the situation. A similar example would be when Chloe called right after the speech she gave, Jamie doesn't tell her that Jackson was shot, just that he was hurt and that he'll be OK. We can assume that she just doesn't want Chloe to worry about him.

Forrest Gump (1994)

Answer: Yelling at new recruits is common since they must instill in them that they are now in a hierarchy where they are at the bottom. When people first enter the service, most bring with them their concepts that progress is accomplished through working with, versus for, others, and the kids lack discipline. The military isn't a democratic institution - it is authoritarian, and that isn't a structure most kids understand. New recruits are constantly yelled at to break their previous conditioning, and that begins with the first encounters, like with the bus driver.

Answer: Yelling is how things are done in the Army.

Question: What happened to all the dogs the Newtons rescued from the end of the first film? None of them appear in this sequel except for one dog, Sparky, in two scenes, but it looks like he doesn't live with them anymore.

adamtrainman@aol.com

Answer: This takes place some time after the first movie so the dogs from the first movie were most likely adopted or reunited with their proper owners.

The Goonies (1985)

Question: How did One Eyed Willie's treasure map, the key and the story get out if Willie had been caved in for all these years?

adamtrainman@aol.com

Answer: According to Mikey and Mr. Walsh, one of his crewmen must have taken the map and fled when One Eyed Willie was murdering his crew. This is substantiated in the novelization.

Question: What happened to all the dead weasels after they died laughing? They're nowhere to be seen on the floor when Stupid is shown lying dead or even Greasy falls from the vehicle of the Dip Machine and is not seen anywhere before the Dip flows everywhere on the floor, Wheezy also disappeared on the ladder when it hits the rope on the wall, How did they disappear after they died?

adamtrainman@aol.com

Answer: It's never explained in the film, so it's up to the viewer's imagination. In the original novel, toons sort-of fade away/vanish after they die. While the novel and film are extremely different, I just always sort-of assumed that the same rule carried over- when they die, they vanish.

Jumanji (1995)

Question: Why did anyone believe Sam killed Alan? Nobody saw it happen and everybody knew Sam loved him. What made anyone believe that Sam killed his own son?

adamtrainman@aol.com

Answer: People believe the craziest things. I don't think it was widely believed Sam killed Alan, but that he ran away from home. Through the passed time stories pop up about murder and hiding Alan behind the walls of the house. It was just a rumour.

lionhead

Answer: The only mention of the rumor we hear is from the exterminator in 1995. Maybe he just made it up to try to spook Judy and Peter, or he heard a rumor that got distorted over time and didn't question it himself.

Actually Sarah also mentions the same rumor.

Answer: I think it was a way to solve the mystery of the town. All kinds of theories are created.

Even though Sarah Whittle was the only witness to Alan's disappearance.

Trainman

Answer: They never mention what ultimately happens to his parents. However it's mentioned they "searched high and low" for George and never found him. The animation even shows all the passengers calling out for George, to suggest they also aided in the search.

But Spike ends up digging up her which she had buried and gives it back to her so Drew just decides to take the doll back to the store because she had her doll back.

Why can't Drew just let her keep it instead of returning it, even though she wanted it so much like she said to him earlier, so she can have them both?

Trainman

Answer: Because she already had a Cynthia doll of her own. It also depends on how much the doll costs some dolls when they are brand new cost a lot of money.

Question: How did Harry and Marv know that Kevin would escape through the back door of the Plaza Hotel while waiting for him?

adamtrainman@aol.com

Answer: It's most likely a plot hole, but one possible explanation I can think of is that perhaps Harry and Marv observed from afar the scuffle between Kevin and the concierge and deduced that he would try to flee the hotel from a door that wasn't necessarily being watched by the hotel staff.

Phaneron

Answer: It could also be because the Wet Bandits were planning to break into the hotel through that door rather than the front entrance and just got lucky.

Well, when Kevin got out the door, Harry and Marv were standing as they were waiting before they captured him. Besides, Kevin has been in that hotel a little longer.
