The Patriot (2000)

Continuity mistake: When the movie begins it is 1776 and that is when Gabriel enlists in the Continental Army. In his letter home he mentions the fall of Charleston, which occurred in 1780. After Benjamin gets his commission as a colonel after the pitched battle, Gabriel states that he has been a soldier for 2 years. That would put the formation of the militia in 1778, 2 years before Charleston was captured by the British.

Pearl Harbor (2001)

Other mistake: Both of the main characters (Affleck and Hartnett) were promoted to captain when they reported to Doolittle. Nearly 1 1/2 months later on board the carrier they still both have LT bars.

Pearl Harbor (2001)

Other mistake: Right after Danny gets shot, Red shoots a Japanese soldier point blank. He has the barrel of his pistol pointed about in line with the soldiers right breast, but the wound is actually lower in the body than where the gun was aimed (bottom of the ribcage).

Platoon (1986)

Continuity mistake: In the very beginning when the transport plane carrying Taylor and the other replacements arrive, the propellers on the plane are not moving and it appears it's being towed. An army truck drives in front of the plane, momentarily blocking the view of the plane, and the propellers are spinning as soon as the truck passes.

Con Air (1997)

Continuity mistake: During the battle at Lerner field, Poe drives a burning police car from the boneyard and leaves it right at the ramp at the rear of the plane, and then ties the plane up to the post. When the plane goes to take off and Cyrus sees the plane is tied up, the burning police car is nowhere to be seen.

Defensive Action - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: When Captain Boone descends to engage the Hind, they are in forested mountains. It then cuts to the Hind, and there are no trees, then after the tomcat crew punch out, the RIO is hanging in the trees. The scenes that showed the Hind were cut from the movie Red Dawn.

The Patriot (2000)

Factual error: In Gabriel's letter, he says his friend fell at Elizabethtown. The battle, which was actually the battle of Monmouth in NJ, was fought in June 1780, but when they show him getting shot it is blizzard conditions.
