Weight Gain 4000 - S1-E4

Corrected entry: When the kids are rehearsing the play, the crowd only appears when Mr. Garrison says "To hell with Kathy Lee Gifford." The crowd is nowhere to be seen before then. (00:11:00)

Sol Parker

Correction: The crowd's immediate appearance in the scene is not sudden. The crowd is first shown on screen after Mr. Garrison says "To hell with Kathy Lee Gifford". Before this point, the last time an angle from in front of the stage that the kids are rehearsing the play on is about 25 seconds before the crowd's "sudden appearance", in the shot where the kids playing the attackers invade the Indian land. This twenty five second gap would give the crowd ample time to get to a closer view of the stage whilst the kids were rehearsing.

South Park (1997)

Correction: Cartman's height growth was purposefully done as part of the visual joke to show how his weight gain has exaggeratedly affected his body. The effects are not supposed to be done in a scientifically accurate manner, but done more to show the audience how ineffective Cartman's attempts at getting into shape had become through a visual medium, without resorting to any sort of needless exposition.

Casual Person

Corrected entry: When the boys are first talking to Christoff, his cigarette moves with his mouth except for one sentence near the end when it just stays still hanging from slightly below his lip. (00:53:30)

Sol Parker

Correction: Just watched this scene and his cigarette never moves.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

Corrected entry: If you pause when you see Marvin dead in the trunk, you can see what looks like a bullet hole in his neck, not anywhere on his face, but, right after it happened, Vincent said he shot Marvin in the face. (02:11:00)

Sol Parker

Correction: Not allowable due to having to pause, but here's the explanation: while not easily visible in the film, there is an entry hole in the upper right portion of Marvin's forehead. There is also a bullet hole in his neck. In the original script, Jules accidentally shoots Marvin in the neck first, which doesn't immediately kill him. Jules then shoots him in the head to put him out of his misery. This was changed because Tarantino and Travolta felt it would turn the audience against Jules. So they rewrote it to one accidental shot that killed him immediately. They used a dummy with an exploding head for that scene, and also used the dummy in the trunk scene. The trunk scene was shot first and the dummy had two bullet holes: head and neck. When the scene was re-written, the earlier trunk scene was not re-shot.

Van Wilder (2002)

Corrected entry: Richard says that he goes to sleep at 11 before his exams, and he says he has almost three hours before then, but look out the window, it is still broad daylight. This is his first exam of the semester so it should be January or February and would not be light outside after 8 PM until April.

Sol Parker

Correction: They are in the spring semester so exams would be the first week of May. Remember, Gwen is told that her story will be run in the upcoming graduation edition of the newspaper.

Corrected entry: Right before Robin is hanged, there are three ropes on the gallows, then when he has a rope around his neck, there is only one, shortly after, there are none, and then during the wedding, there are three again.

Sol Parker

Correction: The depth of the shots change, sometimes making only one of the nooses visible, but there are always four nooses on the gallows.

Walking Tall (2004)

Corrected entry: The movie was based on the original Walking Tall trilogy made in the '70's. There are several notable scenes that mimic the original, such as the truck being torn apart, the big stick, and the blowing up of the hero's vehicle. Differences however include changes in names and locations. The original movie was the true story of Buford Pusser, who we see memorialized at the beginning of the credits.

Sol Parker

Correction: The fact that this movie was based on the original isn't really trivia, as it was marketed as a remake and shares the same film title.

Batman (1989)

Corrected entry: Back in the days before computer effects, giant painted backdrops were used, a few of these were used in the large scenes such as city hall and a few others.

Sol Parker

Correction: This was a very common and well-known filmmaking technique. This does not count as trivia.

Joe Dirt (2001)

Corrected entry: The kid supposedly made mustard gas in the Chemistry class, but if it was mustard gas, everyone should have been coughing up blackened pieces of lung by the time Clem pulled them out. They would have been in no condition to start chanting Joe's name.

Sol Parker

Correction: This is also Joe recalling this story and a flashback and just like a dream are not always completely accurate nor logical. Also, it is in Joe's character to have embellished the memory.

Pink Eye - S1-E8

Corrected entry: When Kyle cuts Kenny in half, there is a skull behind him, how did the zombie head become nothing but a skull so fast, it was only cut off seconds ago.

Sol Parker

Correction: Considering that it was Halloween night, that skull probably isn't real and was placed in the cemetery as a prop for the holiday.

Corrected entry: During the whole movie, Charlie's motorcycle has only one seat, but when he takes Irene for a ride, it suddenly has two. (00:27:50)

Sol Parker

Correction: There are two different motorcycles involved here, and neither of those are Charlie's personal one. They both belong to the Rhode Island Police. When Charlie is given the mission to escort Irene to Nw York, he is also temporarily issued a bike with a passenger seat, as this would be a necessesity.

Enigma - S1-E17

Corrected entry: When all the soldiers are pointing their guns at the group of Tolan at Maybourne's order, right before Tolan go through the gate, we see a guy standing down his weapon, holding it towards the ceiling. why is he doing this, especially when Maybourne is about to give the order to fire?

Sol Parker

Correction: This could be showing how one soldier felt. This could have been purposely done.

Stargate SG-1 (1997)

Correction: Not all races call the Stargate 'Chappa'ai'. The Norse descendants in "Red Sky" call it the 'Anullus', as Teal'c has gone through the Stargate more times than anyone else it is likely that he interacted somewhere where heard the name.

Threshold (3) - S5-E2

Corrected entry: When Bra'tac pulls the Goa'uld out of Teal'c, it looks like a mature Goa'uld, being colored brown, black, and grey. We know from past episodes that Jaffa cannot survive with an adult symbiote and that larval Goa'ulds are milky white colored. Later we even see the milky white colored Goa'uld in an aquarium in the background of Teal'c's hospital room.

Sol Parker

Correction: Actually, this was probably a symbiote in the middle of it's gestation, an adult symbiote is about two feet long and entirely black as seen in "Children of the Gods (2)", "Crossroads", and "Out of Mind".

Free Hat - S6-E9

Corrected entry: One of the guys says that they had always meant to have dewback lizards in the background, but the lizard appears in the foreground. (00:15:00)

Sol Parker

Correction: A) This is a joke about idiot directors. B) "In the background", in film, actually can refer to everything but the primary action of the scene.

Corrected entry: When the sun hits the surface of the planet, it would superheat all the air and Riddick as well as the other prisoners would die because their lungs would get fried.

Sol Parker

Correction: This would be true only if Riddick and the prisoners were caught within the "VTF", or Visual Thermal Front (the rushing wall of flame) where the air is heating up to its full daytime temp of 700 degrees C. Opposing that "VTF" is the night side temperature of -300 degrees C. Where the day and night temperatures meet is the narrow semi-habitable band where Riddick and the other prisoners ran through during their escape. Sunlight, even in the moments of pre-dawn, takes time to heat up the air. This is true even in our world, particularly in mid spring (particularly noticeable in northern climates) when the days are warming up but the nights are still very cold. The sun can be cresting the horizon, the sunlight beginning to shine brightly, and the air can still be very cold. When the sun actually does heat up the air, it has already been shining for some time. That increasingly heated mass of air was shown in the film as the "VTF".

Corrected entry: How does Darla find time to leave the recital, get changed, and be in the rich kid's pool before Alfalfa can get there running, when he left before the ballet recital was over?

Sol Parker

Correction: Since the recital was over when the two left, Darla was supposed to have ridden with Waldo. So it seems logical she'd change into her swimsuit there. And it also, during the chase scene, gives you the idea that they have been running for awhile. So it is possible she had time.

South Park (1997)

Correction: This is not an error. A green interior switching to a blue interior within the same episode or scene would be an error. Good Trivia? Yes. Mistake? No.
