Answer: The artist is "Genuine Childs", the song is just called "The Bourne Identity DVD menu music score". It's not on the Bourne album, but you can find it on their soundcloud page: soundcloud.com/genuinechilds.

Rose Red (2002)

Question: After Emery has his fingers cut off and everyone is trapped in the room, Nick informs everyone that Kevin Bollinger hung himself in the Mirror Library after letting Emery's mother into the house. This would make him a ghost obviously, but this creates a problem. How has he been able to appear as a ghost for so long if he must have been alive to let Emery's mother into the house? Did I miss something?

Rosie John

Chosen answer: It was actually the bloated corpse of Kevin that let Emery's mother in, so he wasn't alive when letting her in.

Bishop73

Answer: Then Nick should have said he hung himself before letting Emery's mother in. Also, he turned into a bloated corpse pretty fast but the house has a way of playing tricks.

Question: When Cedric makes the $10,000 bet, shouldn't he still have won the money even though Zeke moved the chips since not only was he not the person who placed the bet, but he also moved them after the host of the table surely called out no more bets?

Answer: The money was actually removed before the host said "no more bets". Verbal bets aren't taken in American roulette, so even though he said $10,000 on Black 15, since only one chip was there when he said no more bets, that was the final bet. In real life though, there were various other issues that most high end casinos wouldn't have allowed in the first place, so the scene is just a plot device to make them become strippers. Plus, it would make for a boring movie if they showed the pit boss coming in and reviewing the situation.

Question: When the game is loading, sometimes there is a picture of a Pontiac Firebird but it is not a most wanted event, or a car you can use to beat races. Can you get the Firebird? And if so, how do you get it?

AdrianMC2002

Chosen answer: It's available only as downloadable content by buying the "Movie Legends Pack". It's the 1977 Firebird from Smokey and the Bandit film.

Answer: He's suppose to be the same age as in the novels, so about 16. "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" takes place 3 years after "Prince Caspian", so 2306 (Narnia year). He was born 2290 (NY). However, since Caspian is around Peter's age, they chose an older actor to play Caspian to match William Moseley's age.

Seinfeld (1990)

Answer: Composer Jonathan Wolff used a synthesizer, although in seasons 7-9, a real bass is used in addition. Wolff also recorded himself making hundreds of mouth noises, pops, and slaps to add to the synthesized bass licks so that each episode has a different theme. The only real "back-story" is Jerry Seinfeld was having trouble coming up with a theme song and talked to a friend who happened to know Wolff. They wanted to avoid that cheesy late 80's sit-com theme song and Wolff came up with what we enjoy now. Jonathan Wolff has also talked about this further in interviews, recently Reed Dunela interviewed him, so for a fuller account of his story; check out "The Wolff of 116th street".

Question: In the scene just before Erin dies, they are talking about if anyone else was on the ride and Ian makes a comment about a guy in a black cloak and how the ride attendant took his sickle, (or whatever), before the ride started. I know it's supposed to be a joke but what's a "sickle" and what did he mean by his comment?

Answer: A sickle is a harvesting tool with a crescent-shaped blade (with the sharp edge on the inside) as seen on the old USSR flag (along with a hammer). It's a reference to Death, who is most often seen dressed in black cloak with a scythe. On rare occasions Death has a sickle, but more often it's people confusing the two tools or thinking the words are synonymous. Plus, it's easier for some people to say "sickle" than "scythe." Ian is saying Death is on the ride.

Question: Juggernaut was supposed to appear in the movie, helping Magneto escape from the Pentagon, but was replaced by Quicksilver. Is there any reason for this role being replaced?

Answer: Bryan Singer didn't like the idea of using Juggernaut again, since Brett Ratner used him in The Last Stand. He felt it wasn't original enough. He was inspired by watching high speed videos online and did a re-shoot using Quicksilver.

General questions

This movie is not Forever Young with Mel Gibson but the plot is pretty much the same. Two guys some time in maybe the 40's or 50's end up inside of Cryopods. When they wake up they go to their lockers and one of the guys who needs to take medication realizes that his yellow pills are now moldy and ineffective. They leave the facility where their Cryopods were at and go to a McDonalds to try to get something to eat but don't have any money. They eventually realize that they are now living in the 80's and have to find a way to adjust to their new home.

Answer: Sounds like "Late for Dinner" (1991).

Marvin's Room (1996)

Question: The part where Hank, Bessie, Lee and Charlie were in the living room and Hank gets a chip, why did Lee asked him to put back the chip because she said that "Bessie hasn't offered him the chip yet and he has to wait to be asked" and when Bessie offered him the chip and Hank refuses, why did Lee forced him to get one? I'm so confused.

Answer: Lee is being an overbearing mother with strict rules and Hank is a little mentally unstable (most likely because of Lee's parenting). Hank is just resisting his mother and probably even felt embarrassed and angry. It's a scene meant to show the strained relationship Lee and Hank have.

Now You See Me (2013)

Question: How did Dylan's team not see their reflections in the mirror in the apparently empty vault, and why don't said reflections show in the recording for that matter?

Answer: The mirror was inserted at an angle, so that the reflection was the ceiling and not what was in front of them. It's the same principle for how periscopes work.

Bishop73

Answer: Two way mirror.

X-Men 2 (2003)

Question: What was the whole purpose of Nightcrawler trying to assassinate the president?

Answer: In the first X-Men movie, the proposed "Mutant Registration Act" was called off. William Stryker, who was anti-mutant, wanted to force the issue by having a mutant kill the president, to show how dangerous mutants are. Nightcrawler was brainwashed by Stryker to attempt this.

The Avengers (2012)

Question: Why is Loki immune to death? He is repeatedly blasted, beat by Thor, and smashed by the Incredible Hulk.

Answer: While Loki is not immortal, he's just as powerful as Thor, and many mortals would consider him a God as well. Loki is actually a Frost Giant taken in by Odin, but is just as invulnerable to many attacks. There may also be an element of magic involved in his survival as well.

Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

Question: If characters of respective games are revived when they die, why were Taffyta and every "meanie" worried about being executed by Schweetz? Or how was she going to execute them?

Answer: We learn at the beginning if a character dies outside their respective game, they don't revive. So they would be executed outside the game. King Candy didn't revive because (SPOILER ALERT) he was really Turbo, and thus outside his own game.

Question: When Simms tells the 3 thugs they are dead, he screams at them "This ain't no funeral home. It ain't the terra dome neither." What is the terra dome? When I look it up online I only find a mention of an underground home, but I don't see what that has to do with Satan and Hell.

lartaker1975

Chosen answer: The word he says is "terror dome". He is just referencing a Public Enemy song, "Welcome to the Terrordome".

King of the Hill (1997)

Answer: His full name is Jeffery Dexter Boomhauer III. (His father is Jeffery Boomhauer II). While he does say his name in the video game, in "Uh-Oh Canada", a woman calls him Jeff.

Bishop73

Answer: As of 2014, King of the Hill finished with 11 season, putting it 6th among longest running US animated shows (with at least 3 animated shows already in 9th or 10th season.) In terms of episodes, it's 3rd with 259 episodes, behind The Simpsons and The Bugs and Tweety Show, with South Park nearing that number.

Jump, Push, Fall - S4-E2

Question: In season 3 Peter could only absorb one power at a time and only when he touches the person. How could he suddenly go back to being the empath who automatically absorbs the power of people around him in season 4?

Answer: There must have been some confusion in what you saw (or you caught an error). After "Dual" (s03e13) until the end of the series, Peter's altered abilities always required him to touch someone to gain their powers, he was never able to absorb the power without physical contact and never had more than 1 power at a time (although later he gains the ability to touch someone and not absorb their power).
