Question: Inigo shows Westley the sword his father made for the 6-fingered man ("I've never seen its equal"). How did Inigo acquire this sword? You would think that if Count Rugen was prepared to kill Domingo for the sword then he would have taken it with him.

Answer: In the book, Count Rugen told the outraged villagers that Domingo had tried to rob him and he killed Domingo in self-defense. He couldn't very well take Domingo's sword after that.

Question: Why doesn't Disher feel at all sad that his uncle has just died?
Answer: He was close to his uncle (he mentioned working with his uncle every summer when he was a boy), but the main events of the show happen over a month after the uncle's death.
Chosen answer: I got the impression that he really hadn't known this particular uncle very well.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)
Question: I know Voldemort has lost all faith in Lucius, but why break his wand when he is needing a wand to kill Harry?
Answer: He didn't break it. Lucius' wand had some kind of custom-made handle which Voldemort snapped off when he confiscated it.
Answer: Lucius' wand was part of his walking stick. The wand, that was attached to an ornate silver handle, fit into the cane's shaft and was removable. Lucius can be seen removing the wand from the cane at the end of Chamber of Secrets when he was about to curse Harry. When Lucius hands the wand to Voldemort, the Dark Lord detaches the silver handle from it. The "snapping" that was heard was an added sound effect that was a bit overdone.

Question: Why does Alex abduct Ellen and take her to a carnival?
Answer: So her parents (especially her father) would go through hell, not knowing where she was or if she was safe.
Answer: Because she's unhinged! And she wants Dan to know that she can get to him, or in this case his daughter, anytime she wants. And she's angry that Dan had an affair with her then went back to his wife.

Question: What exactly did Del mean when he said he doesn't have a home? He doesn't look homeless.
Chosen answer: He means that, as a salesman, he's always traveling, rather than being based out of one particular city. There's a darker implication however: he's a widower and doesn't feel like he really has a home since he lost his wife.

Searching for the name of a story. It's about two teenage friends. One of them invents a time machine and when the button is pressed, they both end up in Medieval times. Unfortunately, the kid who invented the time machine is turned into a horse while his friend remains human but must take the place of a knight who looks exactly like him.
Answer: It's called 'Max and Me and the Time Machine' (though they acquired the time machine from the estate of a mad scientist).

Question: When Lois brings in the newspaper and says "look at this" Peter grabs it from her and says "movable printed type. We must hide this from the serfs lest they gain literacy and threaten the landed gentry." "What have you got there my lord?" "Nothing, go back to your turnips." What's the meaning behind this joke?
Chosen answer: Peter is acting as if he were a feudal lord in the middle ages, and that newsprint and the printed word were recent innovations, threatening to educate the peasantry and jeopardizing their hereditary rights as the ruling class. Just another one of the show's bizarre asides.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)
Question: How is getting struck in the groin with a harpoon (with or without pulling the trigger) fatal?
Chosen answer: You could easily die of shock/blood loss.
Answer: It's also shown that Jason pulled the trigger. You never see exactly where the harpoon goes, so it could have gone into his torso. From the angle you see Jason spear him, though, it most likely went up and exited through his back. This could have hit vital organs and blood loss would also occur. Not to mention that the last you see of the victim he's screaming so Jason could have done more to kill him after the scene ended and the film moved on.

Question: In the trial at the start of the movie, we see a flashback of Andy walking with his gun. Where exactly was he? Was that a real flashback, or just what the prosecutor was assuming happened? Did Andy actually almost kill his wife but decide against it?
Chosen answer: Andy showed up at his wife's lover's house, either to kill them or just threaten them. He had a change of heart and left. Unfortunately, his fingerprints were all over the bullets and liquor bottle he left at the scene, which was pretty damning.

The Switch - S2-E2
Question: In this episode, Carlton is told by Linda that he's too old for her so he decides to undergo surgery to become younger. Eventually, he looks just like Hans. At the end of the episode, when Carlton visits Linda, he sees that she's now with Hans, who looks exactly like him. If Carlton was too old for Linda, then why was she still with Hans, since he now has Carlton's body and therefore his old age? Since Carlton was too old for her, that would mean that now Hans is too old for her too.
Answer: It's just the show's typical ironic ending. It turns out Linda was more interested in money than looks, and the surgery and loss of his fortune were unnecessary.

Question: There is a scene where Chris and the other three discover the cannibals' cabin. When they hesitate to enter the house, Carly tells the others that she needs to pee. Then her boyfriend, Scott says to her "Well, l need to remind you of a little movie called Deliverance." Well, what does Scott signify there? I've never seen the movie.

Question: When the kids take over Kamp Krusty, Lisa hands out all the kids' confiscated mail to them and one of them says "My insulin." How did that kid survive at that camp all that time (whilst it was being run by the bullies and Mr Black), without their insulin and not become ill due to not being able to treat their diabetes?
Chosen answer: He assumedly arrived at camp with a supply. The shtick is that the counselors are so cruel they'd withhold his lifesaving medication.

Question: All of the actors in this film are actually credited as either themselves, or their character in the Jack Slater films (eg. the reporters recognise Tom Noonan as himself at the film premiere). However, the actress playing Whitney is actually called Bridgette Wilson, not Meredeth as Danny points out. Why was this?
Answer: Most likely, she was not a well-known enough actress to have name recognition like Arnold.

I'm trying to figure out what a movie is that I watched as a child. It looked like it was a 60's maybe 70's movie. A woman starts rolling around in brown stuff and bubbly foam stuff that is gushing out of the walls filling what looks like a round living room.

Mamma Mia! (2008)
Question: Why doesn't the daughter just ask her mother who her real father is? Also, couldn't the mother just tell her daughter who her father is? I apologize if I'm missing something, but what is the mother or daughter's motive for not doing something that's common sense? I understand this is the point of the story, but still...
Answer: Her mother honestly doesn't know. She had a relationship with all three men around the same time, and it would take a blood test to know the truth.
Answer: When discussing her dad with her friends, Sophie states that everytime she'd ask, Donna would say it was a summer romance and he left before she even knew she was expecting him. Then most of the movie it's suppose to be a huge secret that Sophie knows it's one of the three and that she invited them. Then during the wedding scene, Donna states that Sopie's dad is also present. Sophie proceeds to admit she invited him. Donna asks how because she doesn't know which one he is. So it all builds up to the truth.

Okay so I would like help finding out the name of this movie. I think it was made in the 80's maybe the early 90's. The only thing i remember is it was about a girl who is rich and I think she complains about her life, and so she switches lives with a poor person. I also only remember that there is a scene where a girl skinny dips.

Answer: When Inigo was a child, Count Rugen came to Inigos father and requested a sword be made for him. When the sword was finished, Count Rugen refused to pay the price he originally offered for the sword. Inigos father refused to hand the sword over so Count Rugen killed Inigos father. Outraged, Inigo took the sword his father made and tried to kill Count Rugen. He has kept the sword ever since so he could use it to kill Count Rugen.
