Dirty Harry (1971)

Corrected entry: When Harry drives by a car in which a bank robber is waiting, there is a close-up of the driver lighting a cigarette and dropping the previous one on the ground. Here we count eight other butts, which, even if he is a fast smoker, mean that he has been waiting there for about an hour, which is a bit long for a decent bank robbery. (00:09:50)

Correction: All of the robbers could have been waiting in the car finalizing their plans. Who's to say how long it took to rob the bank anyway? Their plans may have involved two drivers (one there, one away), and he's been there long enough to see them arrive too.

Freaky Friday (2003)

Corrected entry: When Tess (at the beginning of the movie) enters her office with Evin, you see her open her office door, closing it behind her. It then shows a shot of the office and she's closing the door again.

Correction: It is two seperate doors. The first door is the waiting/reception area, then her office.

Showgirls (1995)

Corrected entry: Right before Nomi is arrested, she is in the club dancing with 3" heels on. When she is in jail you can hear as she walks that she has on heels, but when she leaves she has on slippers.

Correction: In local jails, high heels are confiscated as they can be used as a weapon. Guards issue inmates soft sole shoes/slippers. It is also very rare that females get their shoes back once they leave jail.

Monster (2003)

Corrected entry: After Aileen has killed her 1st victim, she is driving his car and drinking out of his flask, the closeup shows her throw the flask out of the window, then the cut of the front of the car shows her doing it again. (00:29:45)

Correction: She throws several things out of the car window. The flask was first then some other things.

The Outsiders (1983)

Corrected entry: In the scene after Ponyboy returns home, the gang of guys is hanging around in the house eating chocolate cake and beer. When Emilio Estevez sits down and begins to watch Mickey Mouse, the show is in color. A desperately poor family in the 1960s would never have a color television.

Jeanne Perrotta

Correction: The house and all of the belongings were their parents'.

Top Gun (1986)

Corrected entry: Just before Goose and Mav go down in a flat spin, they are flying over desert and mountains, yet somehow after the crash they have to be recovered by a rescue chopper out in the middle of the ocean, with no land in sight.

Correction: You can hear Iceman on the radio saying that Maverick is in a flat spin and is headed out to sea. When they're rescued much of the horizon is obscured by spray thrown up by the helicopter.

Pleasantville (1998)

Corrected entry: In the finale it's anger that changes the Chamber of Commerce's director into colour, however when the townsfolk are working up a rage throwing items through the diner's window, they do not change colour. Also the character that Reese Witherspoon sleeps with does not change colour even though this is the main cause of the teenagers' colour changes.

Correction: Anger has nothing to do with changing to color. You have to "find yourself" then you change to color. Look how long it took Tobey Maguire to change.

Grease (1978)

Corrected entry: When Sandy is singing the "Hopelessly Devoted to You" song when she see's Danny's reflection in the pond you can see him crouching behind a tree to make the image in the pond.

Correction: It is not a real image, it is super-imposed. What you see by the tree is a pink flamingo.

Bad Boys (1983)

Corrected entry: In the first classroom scene, O'Brien could not read what was written on the blackboard. In a later scene he has no trouble reading aloud the work assignments from a clipboard.

Correction: He can actually read. He was faking not being able to read so he would fit in with the other illiterate misfits. In an environment like that, you do your best to blend in.

Corrected entry: During a scene early in the movie when Frank begins perfecting his check cashing scam, there is a closeup shot of bills being counted out by a bank teller. In that shot, some one dollar bills (Washington) are followed by some two dollar bills (Jefferson) and then fives (Lincoln), tens, etc. This scene is set in the early 1960s and two dollar bills were not first printed until the 200th anniversity (commonly known as the Bicentential) of the United States in 1976.

Correction: Two dollar bills did exist during the 60's. The first Two dollar bill came out in 1862. In 1928, the bill had Jefferson on the front. The 1963A series had Jefferson on the front and Monticello on the back. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._two_dollar_bill.

Night Shift (1982)

Corrected entry: In one scene, you see Henry Winkler's neighbour cracking some eggs into a frying pan and making fried eggs. When she serves the eggs, they are scrambled.

Correction: She scrambles them in the pan. You can see her shadow on the wall scrambling them when the shot switches to Henry Winkler.

Stripes (1981)

Corrected entry: Throughout the whole movie, Captain Stillman has lieutenant's bars on his hat and/or shoulders. He should have captain's ensignia, which is one bar, not two.

Correction: In the Army, Captain's bars ARE two bars, whereas 1st Lt. is a single silver bar, and a 2nd Lt. is a single gold bar sometimes referred to as a "butter bar".
