Trevor - S6-E17

Other mistake: This episode establishes that whenever Pinker Rawls passes through solid matter, his clothes remain behind, as anything he is wearing does not share his ability. However, late in the episode when Jackie throws the pot of boiling hot soup at him, the soup is shown to completely pass through his shirt, when it should have stuck to his shirt instead.

Familiar - S11-E8

Question: After Office Eggers lynches Melvin Peters in the streets, he is shown at his arraignment not long afterwards and given a $5,000 bail. Since the FBI had oversight of the case featured in this episode and Peters' murder was directly linked to the case, wouldn't Eggers be taken into FBI custody and consequently spend a longer time in lockup awaiting arraignment in front of a federal judge instead of the one from his own county?

Answer: "This" happens to be used in computer programming language to refer to an entity that is part of a currently running code. But that is just a guess, or at least a starting point for a discussion.

Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man - S4-E7

Trivia: Towards The End of this episode, the Smoking Man states that the Buffalo Bills will never win a Super Bowl as long as he's alive. If we are to believe that the Smoking Man was killed by Mulder in what is as of now the final episode of the series, this statement ended up being true.

Trivia: The rock band Filter contributed music to this show, including their hit single "Hey Man Nice Shot" being used in the season 3 episode "D.P.O." as well as appearing on a couple X-Files soundtracks. Filter's lead singer Richard Patrick is the younger brother of Robert Patrick, who would later be cast in this show as Agent John Doggett.

Nothing Important Happened Today (1) - S9-E1

Continuity mistake: During the previous episode, Skinner receives a nasty gash on his head courtesy of Billy Miles. This episode takes place 48 hours later and there is no indication whatsoever that Skinner received such an injury (the wound is visible once again in the next episode). (00:15:35)

Suggested correction: These are two different porticos. The columns in the Boston picture show concentric grooves, and the fascia on the front of the roof structure is smooth and rounded. The Provo portico has smooth columns and the front fascia is composed of flat rectangular panels. In both pictures the porticos seem to be well-matched to the building structure and landscaping. It's unlikely that the production would have gone to the considerable expense (in the 1990's!) of a digital enhancement.

I could have worded the entry better, but while it's not the exact same portico, it appears to be the same building, but different entrances. The two structures have the exact same kind of writing on the right side and the overall design of the structures is remarkably similar, with some subtle differences in the columns and fascia, as you pointed out. Seems highly Improbable that a building in Boston and another in Utah that are not supposed to be affiliated with each other would look so alike.

It's also worth pointing out that the shot of the BYU Medical Center from Roadrunners showed the Kansas state flag flying outside the building, suggesting that the crew either had stock footage of the building, or they happened to be in Kansas and filmed the building in question. It's highly unlikely they went to the effort to find stock footage or actually went to a different building with a similar looking portico for the sole purpose of using it as an establishing shot of a different hospital in another episode.

Phaneron

After studying the photos again, I would have to agree that it is probably the same building, probably with an addition added to closely match the original construction. As to the improbability of two hospital architectures being so similar, I would reply that this may be common. I had occasion in the 90s to visit a hospital in East Lansing Michigan and later one in Alexandria Virginia that were virtually identical and owned by different health care systems.

Invocation - S8-E5

Continuity mistake: In this episode the character of Billy Underwood was played by twin brothers Kyle and Ryan Pepi. If you pay attention you can tell when one twin was being used instead of the other as one of them has two freckles on his neck and another two by his right eye whereas the other does not.

Continuity mistake: Mulder writes Kritschgau's name on the ulnar side of the palm of Skinner's right hand. Later when Skinner is looking for Kritschgau in his apartment building, the writing is on a different part of Skinner's palm, beginning around the middle and extending diagonally towards the thumb. The Sixth Extinction (2) - S7-E1

Character mistake: When Kritschgau is testing Mulder's remote viewing capabilities, he tells Mulder that he is at about 5% accuracy. However, Mulder got at least two right and not enough time had passed for him to have had 40 opportunities, so his percentage of accuracy should be higher than five. (00:27:00 - 00:27:45)

Factual error: When Skinner is at Kritschgau's apartment building, the time stamp onscreen says it's 5:05 AM, but when Kritschgau answers his door, he says it's 6:00 in the morning. Plus it is shown to be broad daylight outside. The sun is never up that early in Washington, D.C. (00:15:55)

Show generally

Plot hole: The ability of the Faceless Rebels to impersonate other people completely defies logic. For one, when impersonating someone, the Faceless Rebel is able to speak despite the fact that they mutilate their own mouths shut. Secondly, as can be seen in many instances when a person is being attacked by a Faceless Rebel, the face of the person they are impersonating is merely a skin mask that can easily be pulled off. If the face of the person they are impersonating is just a mask, then any time a Faceless Rebel speaks you should be able to see their true face through the open mouth of the skin mask. Additionally, the face of the person being impersonated being a mask would also preclude the Faceless Rebel from blinking or moving the mask's eyes (similarly they mutilate their own eyes shut, so the eyes of the skin mask can't be their own).

Continuity mistake: Malcolm Wiggins stabs Alfred Fellig in the back three times, including once in the middle of his back to the right of his spine. However, when Scully is examining Fellig's back later in the episode, he has at least six stab wounds, and all of them are around his shoulder blades. (00:13:30 - 00:18:00)

Visible crew/equipment: When Mulder is driving away from the gas station, crew members as well as some filming equipment can be seen reflected in the car's body. Mulder is in a pretty desolate area, so seeing people reflected in the car's body would in all likelihood be crew members and not random citizens. (00:28:30)

Revealing mistake: When Mulder - whilst trapped in the body of Morris Fletcher - is doing various poses in front of the mirror, several of his movements and the corresponding movements from the realized reflection of Morris Fletcher are slightly out of sync with each other.
