Continuity mistake: After Melanie decides to stay for the night Lydia watches the policemen and everyone else leave. Between shots they've rearranged her pearl necklace and it now sits lower on her neckline. (00:57:45)

Continuity mistake: After calming Lydia in the green chair Mitch holds his bloody left hand with his right as he goes to the bathroom to get a bandage. In the next shot with the front door in the background he switches to holding his right hand with his uninjured left hand. (01:43:15)

Continuity mistake: In the close-up of Melanie as she watches Lydia try to fix up the place after the bird attack there's a bird caught in a pleat on the drapes behind and to the right of her head. At first the pleat goes to the right but later as she walks over to Mitch the bird and drapes have been rearranged so the pleat goes straight down. (00:57:35)

Continuity mistake: When we first see Mitch sleeping on the couch after the last attack, the corner of the silver box to the left of him is facing Melanie. After she calls to him the box has been rotated so that one complete side is facing her. (01:45:25)

Continuity mistake: As Melanie and Mitch walk up to Annie's house they pass the school and you can see that the bench that Melanie sat on in front of the monkey bars has been removed. (01:30:00)

Continuity mistake: We see the gas hit the tire of the orange car, but in the next shot it's nowhere near the tire. (01:25:15)

Continuity mistake: The interior of Lydia's truck (especially the roof) changes when they show the close-up of her driving. (01:00:55)

Revealing mistake: As she speaks to the cashier, most of the birds perching in the cage behind and to the right of Melanie are fake. The perches sway but the birds don't move. (00:02:55)

Continuity mistake: As Lydia and the girl in the orange dress run into the house, there's just a plain wall with none of the background of the room that we see at the end of the scene. (00:52:55)

Audio problem: As Melanie walks into the classroom we hear the children singing "Risalty Rosalty" and as they turn around to look at her we still hear the song but none of them are singing. (01:08:55)

Continuity mistake: As Melanie drives up to Mitch's we see a lot of fast shadows, like telephone poles, going by in the shot of the bird cage sitting on the floor board, but in the next long shot of the car driving there are no trees or other obstructions on the side of the road. (00:11:10)

Continuity mistake: When we see Melanie sitting with Cathy on the couch, as Mitch checks the windows, the coffee table with the coffee pot on it is between them and the ash tray on the table to the left of the brown chair. Later when Cathy asks, "Mitch, can I bring the lovebirds in here?" we see the ash tray and plenty of space to the right of Cathy but the coffee pot has been moved out of the way for this shot. Audio problem: When we first see Melanie play the piano, the melody line that we hear is not what she's playing with her right hand. (00:35:40)

Continuity mistake: The card for Cathy that Melanie places on the birdcage changes position between shots. At first it's up against the center of the birdcage then in the next shot it's been moved to the right. (00:22:30)

Continuity mistake: As Melanie drives up to the school to check on Cathy her car is dripping a nice straight line of fluid on the gravel behind it. This is the second take of this shot because there is a lighter straight line of fluid in exactly the same spot in front the car as she drives up. (01:08:15)

Continuity mistake: As Melanie takes the Kleenex out of her pocketbook we can see the latch facing away from her. She doesn't touch it again but near the middle of this scene, as she holds the cotton on her head, the pocketbook is reversed with the latch facing her. (00:27:10 - 00:28:50)

Continuity mistake: In the very last close-up of Mr. Faucet's face the right side of his collar has been changed from the previous shot. It's now tucked under his shirt. (01:00:30)
