Bruce Almighty (2003)

Corrected entry: During Bruce's first night as God, he 'lassoes' the moon and drags it closer to create a more romantic view. God limited Bruce's power to only affect a section of downtown Buffalo because God felt that the entire world would be too much for Bruce to handle. So how is Bruce able to change the moon's orbit and create a major disaster on the other side of the world?

MoonMan

Correction: Actually, God said he was only giving Bruce responsibility over the PRAYERS in that area, as opposed to all of the prayers in the whole world. Nothing was said about affecting other objects or people.

Correction: The cavalry are chasing them so they may be on the run. The US Army pursued some Native groups deep into Mexico, so it's hardly unlikely for them to have fled this far.

Ghost Ship (2002)

Corrected entry: During the original takeover of the ship and killing of the passengers and crew, the Jaguar in the cargo hold was riddled with bullets. When the salvage crew arrives, a great deal is made by one of the crew about finding the car intact. Even after decades of rust and corrosion the bullet holes should have been noticeable (not to mention the shell casings on the deck).

MoonMan

Correction: The bullet holes and shells are there, barley visible.

Corrected entry: The fuel problem for the DeLorean is a non-issue. Internal combustion engines can and do run on alcohol, and there was plenty of alcohol available in the Old West.

MoonMan

Correction: The problem wasn't the fuel; it was the damage done to the car from their attempt to use alcohol as fuel. As you know, they tried using alcohol (some booze of some kind), and it caused an explosion that Doc said would take a month to fix. Since the photo of the headstone said Doc was going to be shot on Monday, they didn't have time to fix it. Perhaps if they would have used the right kind of alcohol, the explosion wouldn't have happened...

Hulk (2003)

Corrected entry: When the Army pursues the Hulk to San Francisco, there's a rather spectacular battle in the vicinity of the Golden Gate Bridge...and yet there's normal rush-hour traffic on the bridge. A giant green man slugging it out with jet fighters and attack helicopters is apparently a normal sight for Bay Area residents as none of them stop to watch or flee for their lives.

MoonMan

Correction: With the thick fog between the hulk and the bridge the traffic probably couldn't see the battle.

Swimfan (2002)

Corrected entry: Madison used an oral dosage form of testosterone to spike the drug test. Testosterone is almost always a parenteral (injectable) drug because it isn't absorbed readily in the small intestine.

MoonMan

Correction: "Almost always", and it's harder to give someone an injection without their knowledge than an oral dose.

The Italian Job (2003)

Corrected entry: When the gang cuts off Steve's cable, he calls the cable company and is told that someone will be available later in the week between 10 and 3. The gang then calls him back to let him know that someone will be there that day. Wouldn't his suspicions be raised just a little when the real cable repairman comes? Nobody called to cancel the original service request. Rather sloppy for a group of professional thieves, I'd say.

MoonMan

Correction: I am sure that the gang would have simply called the cable repair company and cancelled the real repair order - no reason to show that in the film.

Aliens (1986)

Corrected entry: Did it really make sense for the Marines to try to search for the aliens with infrared viewers *after* setting everything in the area on fire with a flamethrower?

MoonMan

Correction: Of course it does - the fires are reasonably localised and given that, at that point, the marines have been unable to see the aliens directly, the next logical step is to try infra-red. The presence of the fires nearby might degrade the images to some extent, but that doesn't mean that it's an mistake to try.

Daredevil (2003)

Corrected entry: How is Murdoch able to get all of the prescription pain killers he's seen taking at the beginning of the movie? Is his doctor aware of his secret identity? Certainly someone taking the amount of drugs he's taking, and suffering the type of injuries he receives regularly, would encounter some serious questions if he went to an emergency room. Blind man receiving large doses of painkillers...superhero who keeps his eyes covered up and regularly engages in fights with dozens of people...wouldn't his doctor or pharmacist at least *suspect* something?

MoonMan

Correction: Hell's kitchen is a rough place with a lot of violence and killing - Matt dresses very well and he's obviously blind so if a mugger wanted money he'd be a pretty easy target, so he has a lot of excuses for his injuries and therefore his needs for pain killers.

ang_hulk

Corrected entry: If Tom Sawyer is supposed to be Mark Twain's famous character, he should be far older than depicted in the movie. Twain set 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' circa 1836-1846, and Tom Sawyer was about 12 years old in the book. The literary Tom Sawyer would be at least in his mid-sixties by 1899. All of the other liberties taken with the original literature are neatly explained. What happened with Tom Sawyer?

MoonMan

Correction: While this may be true, keep in mind that the movie is set in an alternate time where, most of the characters might not have ever existed with the others. Therefore, the moviemakers can make anything happen in this movie such as canals in Venice would be deep anough for the Nautilus, or the league would be able to know each other, whether they existed in the other's time or not.

Starship Troopers (1997)

Corrected entry: The movie starts in Buenos Aires, Argentina - a Spanish-speaking country. Why are all the billboards, signs, etc. in English rather than Spanish?

MoonMan

Correction: I'll find it very possible that in the future English will be officially the global language. (Now it's just unofficial.) That's surely the case also in this movie. Even those TV-spots and newsflashes in English are most likely seen all over the world, not just in USA or something. There also doesn't seem to be any boundaries anymore for people not to move where ever they like, some Americans to Buenos Aires and so forth. So to my money the globalization has been finally accomplished here.

Hulk (2003)

Correction: Actually Gen. Ross was sporting a 1st Air Cavalry patch on his shoulder.

Hulk (2003)

Corrected entry: Both Bruce Banner and Betty Ross were in close proximity to a nuclear explosion as children. Why were they not flash-blinded, especially if they were looking straight at the blast when it happened? I could buy it with Bruce, since David's mutation may have given him some immunity, but Betty?

MoonMan

Correction: There is nothing in the film that says Betty was looking directly at the blast. She was 2 years old and crying in the arms of the ice cream parlour worker.
