Reservoir Dogs (1992)

Question: The scene when the three guys are all aiming guns at each other and then fire... Who shoots the "son," the guy in blue jacket?

Answer: Mr. White does. The gunfire follows thus: Joe shoots Mr. Orange, Mr. White shoots Joe, Eddie shoots Mr. White, and Mr. White shoots Eddie as he is falling to the ground.

Cubs Fan

Answer: The truth is Mr White's squib went off too soon and he fell so the answer is nobody shot nice guy Eddie.

The squib may of gone off too soon sure, but I mean Mr Pink crawls out from underneath the ramp with a gun in his hand. It's hard to tell the angle but I think it could be assumed that Mr. Pink shot Nice Guy Eddie. It would help to separate himself from anyone who could potentially tie him to the whole ordeal and he could walk away with the diamonds.

Answer: No, it's right. The miniseries wasn't a complete renewal of the original series, but instead was promoted as a 'limited-run' series. Since it only covered twelve hours instead of twenty-four, the final episode skips over the eleven hours after 11:00 pm and picks up in the last few minutes between 10:00 am and 11:00 am.

Question: On Mustafar, when Anakin accuses Padme of bringing Obi-wan to kill him, why doesn't Obi-wan tell him that Padme didn't actually do it (Obi-wan hid on her ship)?

Answer: Obi-Wan knows Anakin is so far gone into the Dark Side that he won't believe him, despite it being the truth.

Question: After the weasels who work for Judge Doom leave Eddie's office having failed to find Roger, Roger remarks that Eddie saved his life. It is mentioned in the movie that The Dip is supposedly the only way to kill a Toon, so how would Roger have been killed if the weasels did find him, especially since they were holding guns?

Answer: As you mention, the weasels work for Judge Doom, who is in possession of the dipping machine. Had they found Roger, they would have simply delivered him to Doom, who could then put Roger into the Dip.

Question: This question is actually about all of the books. Is a "double" class twice as long as normal, or does it contain twice as many students?

Answer: "Double" classes are twice as long.

Question: I don't understand why Voldemort needed the prophecy from the Department of Mysteries. Doesn't he already know that Harry can possibly kill him, since Harry conquered him on the night of James and Lily's murders?

Answer: When Voldemort originally attacked Harry, he was acting on information provided to him by Snape. But Snape's information was not complete, ergo why Voldemort lost his powers. He wants the prophecy in order to hear it in its entirety, because he believes it will give him the information he needs to kill Harry.

Question: On the back of the complete series DVD I just purchased, it says there are 14 episodes plus 3 unaired ones. The episode guide only lists 15 episodes (counting both parts of Serenity). Is this a typo or is there something I'm missing?

Brad

Chosen answer: I think you're misreading it. The fourteen count is the overall total inclusive (e.g. the 11 aired episodes + the 3 unaired ones).

The Jackal (1997)

Question: Why did The Jackal put a pillow under Major Koslova's head after shooting her?

Answer: I believe it's to keep her head elevated, to keep the pain and swelling down.

Cubs Fan

Answer: With her head elevated she can stabilize her breathing.

The Jackal (1997)

Question: Why didn't Jackal execute Koslova after shooting her through the sofa ?

Answer: He needs her alive to deliver his message to Mulqueen about how he can't protect the women in his life. Executing her wouldn't achieve anything.

Prison Break (2005)

Flight - S1-E22

Question: In season one Terrence Steadman is played by John Billingsley as listed on prison breaks imdb cast list however why is this character played by Jeff Perry in season 2? Considering Steadman has a larger part in season 2, I thought John Billingsley would have been signed on to play him indefinitely. Was there some altercation between Billingsley and the director? Was he unavailable to work on season 2? Was he fired? Quit? I'd just like to know because it has been bugging me for ages now and I cant seem to find the reason.

Answer: According to the Internet Movie Database, Billingsley was unable to reprise the role due to his work on "The Nine".

General questions

I remember watching a black and white movie when I was a kid that popped into my head recently, here's what I remember from the plot. I think the woman is dying but she's still fairly young, she looks for men to live or stay with her for I think 30 days; I believe the goal was to do activities and have fun together but I think he's not supposed to fall in love with her. We come into the movie at the beginning of the 30 days and follow the couple together until the end of the time period during which time the guy has fallen in love with her, but he has to come to terms with losing her as she starts another 30 days with another man I think. Can anyone help me out, it's really starting to bug me now, thanks.

Chosen answer: It sounds a lot like "Sweet November" from 1968, which was remade in 2001 with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron.

Angel (1999)

Season 5 generally

Question: I read in the Buffy section of MovieMistakes that when she dies in the end of the fifth season, no slayer is brought about. I think the episode is Lineage- When a slayer, Dana is found, how is she a slayer? Wouldn't Faith have to die?

buffy4angel

Chosen answer: Yes, Faith technically would have had to die. But while it is never seen on screen, Dana was actually activated in the Buffy episode "Chosen", when Willow used her magical powers to channel the essence of the Slayer scythe into all of the Potentials around the world.

Question: Buffy supposedly killing Angel in Season 2, in the episode "Becoming part 2", when she impales him with a sword shortly after he gets his soul back. However, in BtVS you can only kill a vampire via wooden stakes, direct sunlight, holy water, and decapitation. Is this ever fully explained?

Answer: She's not "dusting" killing him. She's killing him in the sense that since it was his blood that opened Acathela's portal, it needs to be his blood that closes it, as well.

Answer: Since Stewie is known for being gay or bi, I always thought Stewie thought he meant c*ck.

General questions

What is the name of the movie musical with the man eating plant in Greenwich Village with Steve Martin as the dentist?

Question: Why do the beavers accuse the red fox of being a traitor? He seems perfectly dedicated to the side of good.

Answer: I think it's because foxes and wolves are related, both being members of the dog family. Since the wolves are on the side of the Witch, I don't think it's much of a stretch for them to assume the fox is, as well.

Question: If Alice can see the future, why did she not protect Bella from Jasper's attack before it happened at Bella's birthday party?

sunfox35

Chosen answer: The way I understand it, Alice's power only works once someone makes a conscious decision to act. Since Bella's paper cut was unanticipated, Jasper's attack was impulsive, not premeditated.

Question: Why do Marty's brother and sister get erased from top to bottom, and Marty just fades? Why can't they just all fade?

DeathGawd

Chosen answer: The way I understand Doc's explanation, Dave and Linda were both erased completely because Marty interfered with their parents' meeting; thus the three children were erased from existence, from oldest to youngest. Marty only begins to fade because the timeline corrects itself before he gets erased completely.

Cubs Fan

Super solid explanation, but I think the original question is asking why Dave and Linda literally disappear from top to bottom in the photo: in other words, Dave's hair is erased, then his whole head, then his feet, and Linda also disappears similarly. When we see Marty start to disappear in the photo, it is his whole body that starts to fade all at once, instead of vertically like his siblings.
