Question: I don't understand how Michael and Lincoln have different last names when they are brothers with the same parents, why aren't they both Burrows or both Scofield?

Chosen answer: Michael took his mother's maiden name after his father deserted them.

Sona - S2-E22

Question: Bill Kim called the police, he said that. Why would he do that, because it was obvious he was going to kill Linc. It makes no sense.

mixone1995

Answer: I don't think he wanted to kill him, I think the plan was to get Linc and Michael into Sona so they could break out James Whistler.

Question: Westmoreland says his cat is 'grandfather', what does that mean exactly?

Chosen answer: He means that is is covered by a "grandfather clause", where someone in charge lets you have an exeption to the rules, using an older rule instead. In Westmoreland's case, he had had a cat before they were disallowed in prisons, and so the warden makes an exeption in his case. See also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandfather_clause.

Question: Link is on Death Row for one murder, why aren't T-bag and John Abruzzi also on death row? Fair enough Link was set up by higher powers to ensure his execution but wouldn't dangerous people like T-bag and Abruzzi, convicted murderers, also be on death row? T-bag especially, since he raped and murdered children.

Chosen answer: T-Bag and Abruzzi's cases are not fully discussed in the show so its impossible to state why they weren't on death row as well. The most likely answers is there was not enough evidence on both to convict on Murder One charges or they took plea bargains that would likely have taken the death penalty off the table. If I remember correctly I think there is a work up on the charges of the characters in the show on the official Prison Break website. I don't know if it explains your question but I believe it has the list of convictions against them.

Safe and Sound - S4-E5

Question: In this episode they are digging the hole to get through to 'Scylla', when digging the hole the concrete bar drops or something. Brad goes in to the pipe help but he can't get out in order to get them to Scylla, so therefore he is left in there to die. That tunnel though is the source of the water to L.A. So there would be a dead body in the water and everyone would be drinking water where a dead guy was, am I right? Or did I miss out on something?

Jaylen110

Answer: Yes you are right, the entire city of LA was drinking water contaminated by a dead body.

Question: To create a lock-down situation in the prison, Michael breaks the AC unit and the doctor later says that it's the hottest April on record. However the beginning of the episode where Lincoln sits in the electric chair and is then let out again (forgot the name of it) shows it snowing pretty heavily. Up to this point the programme has been set within one month so my question is this. Is this meteorologically possible? And if so is it probable to have heavy snowfall in the hottest April on record?

strikeand

Chosen answer: While this might be an oversight in the show itself, speaking from experience there is a possibility of snow coming and going despite being a warm month. I remember in 2014 going from a high of 8° Celsius (46F) and sunny to -16 C (3.2F) and heavy snow the very next day. The statement as you put means it's the hottest April on record, not the hottest temperatures for the entire year. It may have been unusual temperatures for that time of year and warmer than usual. The snow might have only been for a brief period and disappeared shortly after.

Flight - S1-E22

Question: In season one Terrence Steadman is played by John Billingsley as listed on prison breaks imdb cast list however why is this character played by Jeff Perry in season 2? Considering Steadman has a larger part in season 2, I thought John Billingsley would have been signed on to play him indefinitely. Was there some altercation between Billingsley and the director? Was he unavailable to work on season 2? Was he fired? Quit? I'd just like to know because it has been bugging me for ages now and I cant seem to find the reason.

Chosen answer: According to the Internet Movie Database, Billingsley was unable to reprise the role due to his work on "The Nine".

Question: I'm confused with season 4, Bruce Bennett seems to be a good guy and bailed out Michael and Linc and brought them to Sarah, yet in season 1 he tried to have Sarah murdered, am I wrong about that?

Chosen answer: I think you are referring to the scene where Sara calls Bruce from the payphone and immediately there's an attempt to kill Sara. It is completely plausible that The Company had been tracking Bruce's cell phone (he was very close to Frank Tancredi).
