Friends (1994)

The One With the Male Nanny - S9-E6

Corrected entry: As Chandler is leaving for Tulsa, he tells Monica to have Geoffrey (who Monica claimed was the funniest person she ever met) email him with funny Oklahoma jokes at www.hahanotsomuch.com. There is a real web page with this name with various quotations from that episode.

Correction: Not any more, I just tried.

Corrected entry: When Wallace drops out of bed, into the kitchen and has jam splat on his face, the jam is 'fired' automatically. But earlier when we saw the same thing happen, Gromit needed to press a button to 'fire' the jam, so it would land on the toast.

KingofallSamurai

Correction: Wallace is a prolific inventor and given that he designed and made the original machinery, it's easy to accept that he made some improvements to further automate his mornings.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: He left his skateboard at school the previous day which is why he walked to school. Probably the skateboard had been confiscated.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: It's quite easy to mumble without moving one's mouth, I get accused of it all the time.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: There is no reason why he has to read them in order. He's answering the ones he knows first which is something many people do.

The Simpsons (1989)

Saturdays of Thunder - S3-E9

Corrected entry: Before the time trials start, we can see how far the track is, but while Bart, Nelson and Martin are racing, considering the speed they're traveling, the track seems much longer. (00:12:25 - 00:14:35)

Yoshi

Correction: I've watched this scene again and there's nothing unusual about the length of the track or the time they take to complete it. When we see the track at the start we can't see the finish line so we have no way of telling if they take unusually long.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: During this scene all the characters watching the race are blurred to give the impression of speed so there's no way to know if it's Bart since we can barely make out the faces. It's certainly someone wearing a red t-shirt but that doesn't make it Bart especially since the person appears to be much taller than a small boy.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: The view of the oil spill is from completely different angles so it's just a trick of the light. Oil can also be rainbow coloured in the right light.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: The stairs are inside the house, we are seeing the underside of them.

Future episodes show the garage is on a corridor to the kitchen, nowhere near the stairs.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Pure speculation, we can't see the area he is hitting in enough detail to know if there are nails or not.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: This is a simple one, we never see the speedometer working. We see the needle fixed in one position before it peels off so no mistake.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: True but this is Homer, he could easily have forgotten or may just be irritated at the interuption. Either way it's not a mistake.

Friends (1994)

The One With Chandler's Dad - S7-E22

Corrected entry: When the police officer is giving Rachel a ticket he sees her birthday, says "Aquarius", and she says yes. But in an earlier episode when Gunther is asking for people's birthdays Rachel says her birthday is May 5. To be an Aquarius your birthday has to be between January and February.

Correction: Rachel is trying to get out of paying a ticket, she isn't going to tell the officer he is wrong.

The Mask (1994)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Peggy Brandt is in the Bank talking to Stanley, Stanley refers to her column as "Ask Peggy" but, a few seconds later in that scene she refers to it as "Dear Peggy".

Correction: Stanley got it wrong and Peggy corrected him. Many columns like this are called Dear... or Ask... so it's plausible that Stanley would make a mistake.

Corrected entry: The art gallery is conveniently fitted with heat sensitive cameras. However, this would not be sensible in an art gallery, as infra-rad cameras cannot make distinctions such as precise facial features, necessary for identifying a thief.

Correction: They would however be capable of detecting the presence of a human being and setting off the alarm. Even most regular security video cameras give fairly poor images and are not much use for identifying people unless they look right at it for a few seconds.

Corrected entry: In the opening shoot out in the liquor store, Quentin Tarrantio shoots bottles of liquor, that then pour onto the clerk. George Clooney then throws a flaming roll of toilet paper at the clerk, causing the liquor to burst into flames. This is a neat idea, but only liquor that is 100 proof or higher(very high alcohol content) will burn. The bottles shown breaking are normal booze, which is mostly 40-80 proof and not very flammable. All of these bottles would have had to be Everclear or Bacardi 151 or a similar high alcohol liquor to cause a fire like that. (00:08:00)

Correction: Only one of the bottles needs to be high alcohol to get the fire started then the rest will follow without hesitation. Even without that, it's relatively easy to light a cocktail made from "normal" alcohol, I've done it and seen it done many many times.

The Full Monty (1997)

Corrected entry: In two different scenes, the same extras (a woman with long blonde hair and a man) are shopping in the store where Dave works, first in a brief shot on Dave while the others have their dress rehearsal, and then before Dave and Gaz steal the jackets. (01:00:45 - 01:08:45)

Correction: It's a supermarket, it's not a mistake for people to go shopping in the same supermarket more than once.

Corrected entry: When all the vampires get hit by the sunbeams they explode, with no fire. But when Carlos frees them and the sun shines in all vampires explode into a huge fireball. (01:36:55)

Correction: Makes sense, the sunbeams are smaller. Once the door is opened the vampires are exposed to much more sunlight and the reaction would be more severe.

tw_stuart

Corrected entry: When Bond and the girl are trapped in the sunken ship, they take a big breath from their tanks and swim up the tunnel- why couldn't they put the tanks up the tunnel and then swim up below them?

Correction: Character decisions are not movie mistakes. The tanks would obscure their view at the very least.

Friends (1994)

Correction: I've watched this scene very carefully and the cup simply does not move at all. It remains in exactly the same position for the whole scene.
