Resident Evil: Afterlife

Other mistake: At the end of the fight with the Axeman, Alice points a shotgun towards him, while both she and Claire are sitting on their knees (as is seen in the overhead shot with the axe in the wall). But the shotgun is clearly pointed downwards. Alice is 5'9'', while the Axeman is at least 9 ft. tall. If she wants to blow his head off, she should have been pointing it more up. (01:07:40)

Continuity mistake: After the Needle dive, Alice lands on a table. When she is shot by Wesker, the table is covered in blood. In the overhead shot afterwards, the amount of blood changes drastically. (00:12:05)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: After Wesker flees Arcadia in the Umbrella chopper, though he himself has the ability to heal extremely quickly, his clothes no longer have bullet holes in them.

Deliberate mistake: When Alice jumps from the rooftop, the entire roof explodes, but the wire she is on is still intact.

Continuity mistake: Alice drops her shotguns after she is knocked out by the Axeman, and a close up of the shotgun shows that it lands near one of the shower columns. And when Claire spots the shotgun, it is still lying in the spot where Alice dropped it. But in the wide shot just before Claire starts her slide, the one with both Claire and the Axeman, there aren't any more of the shower columns between them, and Claire only picks up the shotgun after the wide shot. (01:03:55)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: In the flashback when Claire remembers what really happened on the beach where they landed the chopper, the Umbrella guard slams the spider-shaped device on her chest. In the next two shots, the device is gone, but when Alice finds her 18 months later, it's back on.

Friso94

Continuity mistake: Luther shoots the Axeman in the head, just above where his left eye should be. When the Axeman reaches the shower, the hole in the burlap sack and the blood are gone. (00:54:40 - 01:05:00)

Friso94

Continuity mistake: Bennett stabs Alice in her lower arm, from the top to bottom, probably between the bones. But in the revolving shot which reveals Wesker, the knife is suddenly facing side to side, meaning the knife would be going over the bones.

Friso94

Continuity mistake: When Alice is about to blow up the elevator, we get a shot of a big explosion. Anderson has been nice enough to slow this down for us, so you can see that the elevator is empty, where before there were four people.

Friso94

Continuity mistake: When Bennett shoots Angel, the blood covers Kim's right shoulder. We then get a shot of Bennett, and when the camera cuts back to Kim, some of the blood has already dried up, in less then a second.

Friso94

Revealing mistake: After Bennett takes off, Luther jumps on the edge of the prison. When he hits it, you can see the seemingly solid concrete edge wobble.

Friso94

Revealing mistake: Just before the group enters the elevator which Alice blows up, they are all shooting at the horde of zombies. But pay close attention to Alice's MP5K. There are no empty shells flying away from it, which means the gun ran out of blanks and the flares were edited in later on. Also, we can see the empty cases flying away from Luthers gun, who is even further away from the camera.

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: Just when Alice jumps off the roof, pay close attention to the zombie directly to her right. You can see how he slows down and stops on the ledge. But in the shot directly afterwards, all of the zombies are jumping after Alice, and none are stopping where the roof ends. (01:00:10)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: After the Tower Swing, Alice fires a bunch of quarters through two zombies, most of which end up in the wall around Luther. But when he has closed the door, we get an overhead shot of the wall, which has a bullet hole in it - and no quarters. (01:04:15)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: In the scene after Alice bungee's off the roof, as she runs through the crowd of zombies towards Luthor, she fires the shotgun loaded with quarters once. As she gets closer he jumps to pull the door down and as all the zombies hit the door, you can see that it's solid, no holes. But when the shot changes to the inside view, the door now has quite a few holes in it. Not only were they not there before, but the door was open, so the quarters wouldn't have hit it anyway. (01:03:50 - 01:04:20)

Continuity mistake: During the fight scene with the Axeman, Claire slides between his legs while gunning him down with Alice's shotgun. But watch his axe. In the far shot he is holding it up, like he is ready to strike, but in the shot where he is falling, the axe is leaning on the ground all of a sudden.

Henkie36

Factual error: Just after Alice jumps from the tower and draws her dual revolvers, the film slows down to bullet time to show her shooting two zombies. If the speed of the bullet is accurate, there's no way she can move so fast as to then run and get out her shotguns. (01:03:40)

Ultim8Z0mb13

Continuity mistake: After the Tower Swing, Alice lands where she started out: in front of the garage with the UPV. Note the sign with the gun on it. But the door right next to it is closed. Behind that door is the UPV. Since everybody was in somewhat of a rush, it doesn't make sense that anyone should have closed it.

Henkie36

Revealing mistake: When the Umbrella guards are lining up in front of the elevator, we get a few close-up shot of the level counter. During those close-ups, you can see the ribbed rear wall of the elevator when the dial is still only at level 3. Compare the wall to when the doors open, it is exactly the same. This means that the elevator isn't moving at all, and that it is just the dial.

Friso94

Continuity mistake: In the shower scene the shower is turned off but you can still hear it running. Then it switches back on. You can see it off and on during same scene but the sound is always running. (00:50:00)

Alice: Hey, boys. Is that any way to treat a lady?
