Resident Evil: Afterlife mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Alice kicks Bennett away, he lands one one of the dead bodies, sliding it back significantly. But in the shot where the dog is splitting its head, you can see the head of the body in the top right corner of the screen. And it definitely is the one Bennett landed, seeing how that was the one next to the shotguns. And in later shots, you can see that all of the bodies are in their original positions. (01:18:00)

Continuity mistake: During the fight scene with the Axeman, Claire slides between his legs while gunning him down with Alice's shotgun. But watch his axe. In the far shot he is holding it up, like he is ready to strike, but in the shot where he is falling, the axe is leaning on the ground all of a sudden. (01:04:15)

Revealing mistake: Just before the group enters the elevator which Alice blows up, they are all shooting at the horde of zombies. But pay close attention to Alice's MP5K. There are no empty shells flying away from it, which means the gun ran out of blanks and the flares were edited in later on. Also, we can see the empty cases flying away from Luthers gun, who is even further away from the camera. (00:58:50)

Continuity mistake: Before the opening fight scene, we can see the guards running towards the entrance past a row of Hummer H2's. But after Alice blows the second group away and takes out those cars, they all of a sudden change to H1's. Also it can't be one from the opposite end, because those have a pick-up truck rear end, and the one lying on its side has a slanted back end. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: After the Tower Swing, Alice lands where she started out: in front of the garage with the UPV. Note the sign with the gun on it. But the door right next to it is closed. Behind that door is the UPV. Since everybody was in somewhat of a rush, it doesn't make sense that anyone should have closed it.

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Bennett takes off in the plane, the concrete edge suddenly disappears. He hadn't already taken off, because he makes a huge dive directly after leaving the roof, and even if he did use it as a ramp, then it makes no sense why Alice did smash through the edge. (00:58:00)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: When Luther ducks to avoid getting hit by Alice's plane, his gun falls out of his pants. He then picks it up again just before he runs off to clear the roof. But in the shot where Angel runs away, his gun is still lying in the middle of the "E." (00:30:20)

Resident Evil: Afterlife mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Alice is knocked out by the Axeman, she lands on her back with a few broken tiles on her chest. When we get the far shot with the Axeman, there are suddenly a lot more tiles. (01:05:20)

Resident Evil: Afterlife mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After the Tower Swing, Alice fires a bunch of quarters through two zombies, most of which end up in the wall around Luther. But when he has closed the door, we get an overhead shot of the wall, which has a bullet hole in it - and no quarters. (01:04:15)

Resident Evil: Afterlife mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Alice makes the first approach to land on the roof of the prison, Luther shouts "Down!", and they all duck. In the close up shot of the group, you can see that Angel and Bennett are facing the same way as Luther and Kim. But in the wide shot, they are facing in the opposite direction. (00:31:30)

Henkie36

Other mistake: At the end of the fight with the Axeman, Alice points a shotgun towards him, while both she and Claire are sitting on their knees (as is seen in the overhead shot with the axe in the wall). But the shotgun is clearly pointed downwards. Alice is 5'9'', while the Axeman is at least 9 ft. tall. If she wants to blow his head off, she should have been pointing it more up. (01:07:40)

Character mistake: When the Tradewind arrives at the island, captain Hilliot says, "They might not be civilized," to which Richard replies, "Civilized: c-i-v-i-l-i-Z-I-D."

Henkie36

Factual error: Alice isn't superhuman in the scene of the Tower Swing. But at the rate she is falling, she would both hit the ground before the cable would be under tension, and even if the prison was high enough, it would probably shatter every bone in her shoulder when it does become tensioned. (01:01:00)

Resident Evil: Afterlife mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Bennett bends over to pick up Alice's shotgun, you can see that the floor on which it rests is covered in glass. But when K-Mart picks it up moments laters, the glass is gone. (01:20:30)

Resident Evil: Afterlife mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After the Needle dive, Alice lands on a table. When she is shot by Wesker, the table is covered in blood. In the overhead shot afterwards, the amount of blood changes drastically. (00:12:05)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: Just when Alice jumps off the roof, pay close attention to the zombie directly to her right. You can see how he slows down and stops on the ledge. But in the shot directly afterwards, all of the zombies are jumping after Alice, and none are stopping where the roof ends. (01:00:10)

Henkie36

Continuity mistake: Alice drops her shotguns after she is knocked out by the Axeman, and a close up of the shotgun shows that it lands near one of the shower columns. And when Claire spots the shotgun, it is still lying in the spot where Alice dropped it. But in the wide shot just before Claire starts her slide, the one with both Claire and the Axeman, there aren't any more of the shower columns between them, and Claire only picks up the shotgun after the wide shot. (01:03:55)

Henkie36

Factual error: In the freeway chase, when the agent tears off the car roof, it is seen as a floppy metal sheet. A roof is actually quite thick, supporting part of the car's structure, a built-in roll-cage, and of course the headlining. However, all of these things are nowhere to be seen.

The Phantom (1996)

Deliberate mistake: By the time the island blows up after Drax is destroyed, don't the explosions seem to move very slowly at the shot where Zane dives into the water?

Battlefield Earth (2000)

Plot hole: Terl says that the army of humanity (presumably the U.S. Army) could only put up a nine minute fight against the Psychlos, and yet in the end of the film, a couple of outsiders, who taught themselves everything they know in just two weeks, can defeat their army. Why? The outsiders are outnumbered, they have had zero combat-experience, they use weapons that are over a thousand years old. That's just amazing.
