Trivia: Stay until the end of the credits to see a cameo by God (Alanis Morisette).
Trivia: In the DVD release, the second disc contains an error. It is in the TV spots of the Bonus Material. Two of the TV Spots are misnamed. The first is the one entitled Cake. In actuality the next one labeled Justice should be named Cake and vice versa. The Cake spot mentions nothing about cake and is mainly composed of Shannon Elizabeth's character named Justice. The second TV spot named Justice ends with the scene from inside the van when Ali Larter's character pulls a knife on Jay and Jay replies "What's with the knife, we having cake?"
Trivia: In the scene where Jay and Bob are inside the Animal Testing Lab and find the tranquilizer gun, if you look at the box, it clearly says "BRAKE glass in case of emergency"... which should read "Break glass...." [If you watch the commentary you will hear Kevin Smith say that it was spelled "BRAKE" deliberately. It is sort of the set designer's trademark, he makes a deliberate mistake on all of his sets. So, yes it is a spelling mistake, but was done on purpose.]
Trivia: The scene in which Jay and Silent Bob are in Ben Affleck's house, you can see posters all over his place (behind the basketball hoop, next to the stairs, etc.) with the word "Nails" on them. "Nails" were the cigarette advertising posters seen in Dogma and again in Clerks 2. (00:06:50)
Trivia: Kevin Smith has said that Jason Mewes hit on Carrie Fisher, using many Star Wars-related innuendos. Fisher asked him to stop, not because she was offended by it, but because many people hit on her in the same manner (including Ben Affleck), but none would ever actually go all the way with it.
Trivia: Mark Hamill provides the voice of Scooby in the Scooby-Doo scene.
Trivia: When Jay and Silent Bob go to Holden's house, he greets them with, "Look at these morose motherfuckers right here. Looks like somebody shit in their cereal." Jay said the exact same thing to Holden in the diner in Chasing Amy.
Trivia: Silent Bob only speaks 102 words in the entire film.
