Revealing mistake: During the scene at the restaurant in Montenegro (actually filmed in the Czech Republic), you see a payphone with a Czech Telecom logo on it (itself a piece of history, as these are all now rebranded O2). (01:57:50)
Revealing mistake: When James Bond is supposedly in Montenegro, this was filmed in the Czech Republic – although they changed most of the signs, they forgot some. When they are having a drink in the square, there is a visible sign saying "Bily Kun," which means "White Horse" in Czech.
Revealing mistake: Near the end of the movie when Bond shoots Mr. White in the leg, you can see that Mr. White is wearing knee-pads under his pants. (02:14:00)
Revealing mistake: When Bond tries to rescue Vesper from the sunken elevator you can see the stripes from the diving equipment on Vesper's face. (02:08:50)
Revealing mistake: When Bond is chasing the terrorist through the construction site, a large pile of black pipes fall from the building. While they are falling and as they hit the ground they make all kinds of metallic clanging sounds, but when they hit the ground, you can see that they are really plastic PVC pipes, as several of the pipe ends break off and small pieces fly off them.
Revealing mistake: When Bond is running up the crane to catch up with the bomb maker at the construction site there is traction tape, to help Daniel Craig keep his footing on the smooth metal surface, visible on the crane. It wasn't put there as though for the construction crew's use because it is only placed on the part of the crane that we actually see Bond running on.
Revealing mistake: During the close up shots of Le Chiffre when he's torturing Bond, the contact lens used to make his left eye pale blue is visible.
Revealing mistake: Towards the beginning of the film, when Bond jumps off the van into the embassy, the patch of ground he lands on is obviously a landing mat with leaves and turf covering it.
Revealing mistake: Bond has just stormed the embassy and taken the bomb maker as a hostage. As they walk down a hallway, the bomb maker is shot in the leg. The squib that is planted under his trouser leg is outlined.
Revealing mistake: In the beginning of the film, when Bond is talking to Dryden, the wire used to flip the chair is visible leading from the chair, off screen.
Revealing mistake: When Bond is chasing Le Chiffre and Vesper in his Aston Martin, the shot pans as he drives round a corner from right to left. The sequence cuts to a slightly different camera angle where Bond appears to be driving around a different corner, but if you look closely it is the same corner as the previous shot, with Bond simply driving in the opposite direction, i.e. from left to right. (01:46:35)
Revealing mistake: In the torture scene, when we see a close-up of the chair while Le Chiffre hits Bond's testicles with a rope, the rope only hits the chair.
Revealing mistake: When Bond runs up the crane arm you see three rows of black EZY Grip Anti-Slip tape on the crane arm so he doesn't kill himself running up it. (00:12:10)
Answer: From the novel: "Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel."
