Flushed Away

Trivia: In the beginning when Roddy is waking up, a glass Alex the Lion (from "Madagascar") cookie jar is visible on the window sill. When Roddy is looking for something to wear, one of the outfits he holds up is Wallace's sweater vest from "Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit".

Trivia: If you look closely at the button on Whitey's jacket, you'll see it is identical to the stylized "V" on Viktor's tomb in "Underworld." (Bill Nighy was in both.).

Trivia: When Rita starts picking things up from the engine room, one of the objects is a pencil with Gromit's head on it.

Trivia: When Roddy is deciding what movie to watch, look at some of the titles of the DVDs on the right hand side of the shelf and you can see other Dreamworks titles: Shrek 1 and 2 and Shark Tale, Over the Hedge, etc.

Trivia: During the scene where Rita and Roddy are about to get frozen, keep an eye on the already frozen characters. There is one wearing black pants, white shirt, black vest and an empty holster. A dead ringer for Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back.

Trivia: When Roddy is going through his closet for something to wear, he pulls out the Yellow spandex uniform of Wolverine from Marvels X-Men. Hugh Jackman played Wolverine in the movie X-Men.

Trivia: Watch when Roddy and Rita are going to her house. On the outside, the walls have newspaper clippings. If you read what is written on them, it talks about the events of Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Trivia: Grommit and one of the rabbits from Curse of the Were-Rabbit are visible in Roddy's pad as stuffed animals/plushies. Director David Bowers and writer Peter Lord were the senior storyboard artist and the producer of Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the escape scene, Rita makes her way to the street by jumping down from one object to another. The last thing she lands on is a hammer handle sticking out of a filing cabinet. When Roddy attempts to follow her, he falls on the same objects that she jumped on to. The last thing he lands on, though is the head of the hammer that was absent from the handle when Rita jumped down. (00:25:55 - 00:26:40)

Question: Since the Toad valued the ruby and wanted it so badly, why did it not matter to him so much when Rita took it back, and not to mention was destroyed?
