Continuity mistake: When Peter walks into the clearing at the Lost Boys hideout, he walks forward and steps his left leg into a vine tip which is laying on the floor. This causes the vine to wrap around his ankle and pull him up into the air. However as he is pulled up, the vine is now wrapped around his RIGHT leg. (00:49:45)

Continuity mistake: When Peter steps out onto the ships deck (before Hook comes out and makes his speech), Tinkerbell is with him and she lands on the top of a barrell. On top of the barrell is a glass bottle laying down, which between shots (as Tink lands on the barrell), changes which direction it is pointing. In addition the large piece of rope sitting next to it differs in position as well. (00:38:00)

Continuity mistake: When Hook is giving the lesson to Jack and Maggie about why their parents hate them, he starts by underlining the word 'Hate' on a blackboard he has. However a few shots later the line that he drew to underline the word is now completely different. The line is longer and thicker. (01:05:45 - 01:06:40)

Continuity mistake: During the lesson that Hook is giving to Jack and Maggie about their parents hating them, the items on Jack and Maggie's desk (most noticabely the large white feathery quills and the large sheets of paper) change position a few times. (01:06:30)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Hook is talking to Smee about the subject of Peter Pan (as Smee collects food from the table), Hook holds up his hooked hand and stares at it as he is talking. As the shots differ from wide views of the room to closeups of Hook, the lace cuff that surrounds his hooked hand keeps differing in its position. (00:59:20)

Continuity mistake: When the little Lost Boy begins to "inspect" Peter by tugging at his face and whatnot, in the first shot as he pulls Peter's cheeks the bracelet that he has around his wrist has a feather attached to it which is at the top of his wrist. In the next shot the bracelet has suddenly rotated, as the feather is now at the bottom (under his wrist). (00:56:10)

Revealing mistake: In the shot of Tinkerbell flying across the screen with the vine (to trip up the Lost Boy twins) if you look closely you can see the wire that is attached to the vine, which is being used to pull it across. (00:52:50)

Continuity mistake: At the imaginary dinner with Peter and the Lost Boys; when Rufio throws his plate across the table at Peter, in this shot and the next few shots that follow, the large black pan that sits on the table in front of Peter keeps moving closer then further away from his plate. (01:11:10)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Peter first walks into the clearing of the Lost Boys hideout, there is a vine hanging from the tree that is touching the floor (which Peter steps into) and the vine has excess which is curled up in a large pile on the ground. But when it shows Peter stepping into the vine, it is only curled round in one circle - not the large pile it was beforehand. (00:49:40)

Continuity mistake: After Peter has been shot with the goo arrows (which stain his shirt) after they hit his chest, in the very next shot the positions of the arrows on his chest have changed to different places than they were previously. (00:52:35)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Hook is talking to Peter on the ship, he is wearing his eyeglasses as he examines him and his scar, to see if it really is Peter Pan. But as soon as he turns and walks away from Peter his eyeglasses have vanished from his face. (00:42:55)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Smee is standing on the stairs, making his introduction speech for Captain Hook's entrance, the bandana ties that hang down on his back change position a few times, most noticeable when he turns around to walk back up the the top of the staircase. (00:38:10)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When the mermaids are saving Peter, the second redheaded mermaid that swims over to him grabs his waist and kisses him. But in the very next facial closeup her hands are suddenly up by his neck. (00:48:20)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Rufio and the Lost Boys are circling Peter (after he has dropped in their hideout), Rufio is standing in front of him brandishing his sword. In one shot he holds the sword out above him but in the next shot he is holding it down by his side. (00:51:45)

Hamster

Revealing mistake: When Captain Hook reveals the blackboard with the "lesson" written on it, he underlines the word 'Hate' with chalk. However you can clearly see a faint smudged line already under the word (from a previous take) exactly where Hook draws the line. (01:05:45)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Moira grabs the phone from Peter's hands and throws it out the window, as the phone falls to the ground and then when it lands, the length at which the phone's antenna is sticking out keeps changing from shot to shot. (00:14:50)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: From when Smee and Captain Hook are inspecting Peter's scar onboard the ship, to later in the film when the Lost Boys are painting Peter's bare chest, the proportions of the scar (size, shape, location) are completely different. (00:42:25 - 01:06:00)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Moira and Peter are at Wendy's beside, as she rests after being shaken at her honourary dinner, we can see a book sitting on the bedside table and it is resting at a crooked angle. But when Wendy askes Peter to hand it over to her, the camera zooms in for a closeup of the book which is now sitting at a perfectly straight and neat angle. (00:26:10)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: Hook has Jack and Maggie caught in a large rope net which dangles from the ship's mast. When the net is hoisted up and Hook tells Peter he must fly up and touch their hands, in the wideshot we see the large rope net swinging back and forth in the air. But in the next shot as it focuses on a shot of Jack and Maggie in the net, it is at a complete stand still and is not swinging at all. (00:44:25)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Peter is sitting at the foot of the bed, talking to Moira about how he has to take the phonecall (as the phone rings in his hand), between shots he differs from having the phone either held down in his lap to up by his face. (00:14:40)

[Tootles is searching under a cabinet.]
Tootles: Lost, lost, lost.
Peter: Lost what, Tootles?
Tootles: I've lost my marbles.
Peter: [To himself] OK.

Trivia: The name 'Wendy' was popularised for girls by the play of Peter Pan - JM Barrie adapted it from the way a neighbour's daughter mispronounced "friend." However, prior to PP, Wendy was a unisex nickname for both Gwendolyn and Wendell, also a name in its own right to a limited degree. More info here: http://www.wendy.com/wendyweb/history.html.

Question: Is the food fight scene completely imaginary, or are the Lost Boys actually able to will food into existence by imagining it? I always thought it was the latter growing up and we as the audience didn't see it until Peter, as the audience's proxy, saw it for himself, but any YouTube videos I watch about this movie all seem to think all the food was just in everyone's collective imaginations.

Answer: Neverland very much runs on "If you believe, it will happen" which is what Tink means during the meal when she says "If you don't imagine yourself as Peter Pan you won't be Peter Pan." So by the rules of Neverland, as soon as Peter believed it was real it was then real. The dinner was trying to teach him to believe as, in Neverland, if you don't believe it then it won't happen.
