Continuity mistake: When Anna is looking for her brother who fell off the cliff, there is a closeup of her where you can see some bushes in front of her. When it cuts to a wide shot you can see there are no bushes anywhere near where she is standing. (00:22:10)

Continuity mistake: When Anna tells the citizens to kill Van Helsing and Carl, the undertaker gasps and moves backwards behind Carl. When it cuts, the undertaker has slightly moved to the side of Carl instead. (00:24:35)

Continuity mistake: As the first vampire charge and Van Helsing pulls up his weapon you see Anna bending down beside the well. It the cuts to a shot from above where the three vampires come flying against the camera. At that point you can see the well and Anna isn't standing anywhere near it. When it cuts to Anna shouting "Everybody inside." she is standing beside the well again. (00:24:50)

Continuity mistake: After the vampire has thrown the bull through the building wall we see Van Helsing turning his head around noticing Anna running. If you look behind Anna you can see something orange resembling what could be haystack of some sort. When it cuts to a closer look of Anna running you can still see it behind her. When it cuts back to Van Helsing still looking her direction it is gone. (00:26:10)

Continuity mistake: When Anna picks the sickle up from the ground she is standing in sunlight. When it cuts to a wide shot she is standing in the shade at least ten feet from the sunlight. (00:27:15)

Continuity mistake: When Anna and Van Helsing is looking down the well for the bride who is hiding there, notice the width of the well. When we are looking up at Anna and Van Helsing from within the well we can see that the width of the well has increased a few feet. Also Anna's position when looking down the well changes during the shots. (00:27:30)

Continuity mistake: When the Bride is down the well in the village, the sun is out. When it goes back behind a cloud, the shadow can be seen crossing the ground. When Carl points this out, the shadow is back where it was a few moments before. (00:27:40)

Continuity mistake: When Anna falls on the roof she begins to slide down, leaving slide marks on the snow. When the bride come flying we can't see any trace of marks on the roof. The roof is perfectly covered with snow. (00:28:15)

Continuity mistake: When Anna is hanging from the top of the roof, she places her feet against the wall before jumping. At that time you can see the wall is perfect without any cracks or marks. When it cuts to her leaping off you can see a huge crack going along the wall where she has her right foot. (00:28:20)

Continuity mistake: When Anna tries to hit Verona, she grabs Anna's hand by the wrist. It cuts to Verona saying "I can feel fresh blood.", while holding Anna further up by Anna's fist. It cuts again and she is holding by the wrist again. (00:31:30)

Continuity mistake: In the beginning when Van Helsing kills the first bride with holy water he sits on the church steps. In the wide angle shot there is a lot more snow on the steps than in the close up shot. (00:32:55)

Continuity mistake: When they enter Anna's living room Van Helsing asks "Where do I find Dracula", and you can see him taking off both his gloves. In the next shot you can see he has his left glove back on. (00:36:55)

Continuity mistake: When Anna offers Van Helsing a drink and says the bar is down the hall, she grabs a spiked club and starts walking while placing the club to her belt. When it cuts she places it again. (00:38:30)

Continuity mistake: As Anna investigates the noise at night, her grip on the lantern keeps moving from horizontal in the front shots to vertical in the chase shots. (00:39:45)

Continuity mistake: When they first meet the second wolfman in the castle, he transforms into a human and talks to his sister. When he made his transformation he wore a open yellow shirt. When he changed back into the Wolf, the shirt tore off. So if the man had been a wolf not five minutes before, wouldn't the shirt have already ripped off? Same with the legs of his pants. (00:41:35)

Continuity mistake: When Velkan changes into a werewolf in front of his sister he still has tattered remains of pants on him. When he goes to Castle Frankenstein, and enters through the roof his pants are gone. When the Velkan werewolf lands on the ground and starts to change back, his pants are back on. Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, in the scene where Anna is taking the werewolf cure to Van Helsing and the vampire bride stops her on the large fallen pillar, she falls so she is in a sitting position with the cure in her left hand. She then switches it to her right. Then in the close-up shot, the cure is still in her left hand and she switches it again. (01:49:50)

Trivia: In the scene with the antidote, when they turn around and one of the vampire brides is hanging upside down behind them, her jaw splits open down the middle, showing a very large, three-sided "mouth". This is exactly the way the 'Reapers' from Blade 2 look, though less pronounced.
