Van Helsing

When Carl makes the discovery that a werewolf is the only thing that can kill Dracula, he and Anna set off in Dracula's castle to find the cure to remove the curse. Van Helsing, after being bitten by Velkan, (Anna's now dead werewolf brother) goes to search for Dracula. Only minutes before midnight, Van Helsing insructs Carl to kill him if he is not cured by the twelfth stroke of midnight. After freeing Frankenstein's monster, Van Helsing manages to find Dracula. On the first stroke of midnight, Van Helsing transforms into a werewolf while Dracula transforms into a winged demon. In a long, climactic fight, Van Helsing gets the upperhand and kills Dracula. Anna, desperate to save Van Helsing, tries to administer the antidote, but Van Helsing accidentally kills her while still a werewolf after he's gotten the cure. He cremates Anna while the Frankenstien Monster escapes on a raft and paddles out to sea. Now, Anna's family that has been tormented for generations is now at peace in heaven.

Visible crew/equipment: As the camera moves in on the bull that is about to be grabbed by the vampire, if you look under the bull, you can see two men hiding behind it. You can see their legs. They are probably there to keep the bull standing still. When it cuts they are gone. (00:26:05)

Question: How could Dracula's werewolf antidote work on regular werewolves? I thought it could only work the first night they became a werewolf, and it had to be before the twelfth chime of midnight? Or did I miss something?

Answer: There is a lot of confusion about Dracula's control of werewolves and the antidote. After the twelfth stroke of midnight, a werewolf is under the complete control of Dracula. This is why Velkan couldn't kill Dracula: He knew a werewolf could kill him, even tried telling this to his sister, but couldn't consciously kill Dracula. Dracula keeps the antidote as a safety measure: If any werewolf summons enough will to get out of his control, he can make them human again.
