Diamonds Are Forever

Corrected entry: When Sir Donald is telling Bond all about the diamond smuggling problems, he repeats parts of his speech twice, eg. "the industry prides itself on the loyalty and devotion of its workers".

Correction: This is intentional. It is done to emphasise the irony of what he is saying. Watch the film the second time the words are repeated - as Sir Donald is praising the loyalty and devotion of its workers, the footage is of a guy smuggling gold out of the mine by hiding it in his tooth. Thus it is ironic that there is NO loyalty and devotion among the workers. This is why the speech is repeated.

The Doctor

Corrected entry: The satellite fires a laser beam at a US missile, a Russian submarine traveling underwater, and a Chinese missile base. How could they locate the submarine to blow it up? (01:30:00 - 01:40:00)

Correction: The fact that the technology utilised to track the submarine is not explained, does not mean it is a plot hole.

Tracking submarines underwater in 2019 is near impossible, in 1971 it could not be done. It is a plot hole and a mistake by the producers of the movie. One of the many errors in a film that has a great many others. Such as Wint and Kidd murdering Plenty O'Toole, when they saw Tiffany Case on the plane from Amsterdam to Los Angeles.

Continuity mistake: When Bond escapes from the Willard Whyte facility in the desert in the moon buggy, a car that is chasing him goes over a ridge and turns on its side, as the buggy speeds by. A wheel rolls back into the shot, all on its own. It doesn't belong to the car or the three-wheelers also chasing, but looks like it belongs to the buggy, which has its full complement of wheels all through the scene.
