Revealing mistake: When the AHAB launched its missile in the underground lab, it shows a shot of one of the scientists laying on the ground dead. You can see him breathing. (01:16:50)
Other mistake: Coming out of the same door he went through at the beginning of his dungeon quest, Xander shoves back the guy he stunned; considering the sedative is supposed to last for 12 hours, what is he doing standing there? But if we assume that sedation in movies does not matter and you can just wake someone up with a slap on the cheek, fine; there's still a continuity mistake when we consider that Xander pushes him back quite far but when the two henchmen come out of the door they find him much closer. Plot hole: Via his bondesque band-aids, Vin Diesel disposes of all the bad guys' vehicles - except the one next to the boss and Yelena (very conveniently or he would have killed his main villain and his girlfriend). He races super-fast to his hideout with his super-fast bike, he is in SUCH a rush that he does not even park the bike but just jumps off it and lets it crash into a dumpster. In his room he has a 45 second conversation with Sova. Somehow Asia Argento in less than a minute not only caught up with him, who had already a huge head start and she was never seen even beginning any pursuit, but she also contacted 'the Ivans', from a separate organization, shows up with them and she was there early enough to even infer that XXX was in trouble, so she must have been even quicker than that to eavesdrop. Revealing mistake: After X has put the bandaid explosives onto the motorbikes out the front of the compound, and is making an escape, he removes the bandaid off his bike and does a large jump over the castle wall. One of the bad guys is chasing him on another bike, and jumps the wall like X. As he is "flying" through the air, his long black trench coat remains hanging straight down. It should be flailing out behind him from his motion and the wind. (01:20:20)
Continuity mistake: When Milan Sova pulls a gun on Xander, in the wider angles his left hand rests on the inside of the armchair, by his thigh, while in the closer angles it is on top of the armrest. (01:21:20)
Revealing mistake: When the cop that Xander drove insane gets wasted, the holes on the armchair don't match in timing nor pattern the ones in the door, and somehow the gun pierced the door, his body and the stuffed furniture without even producing entry wounds on his chest. (01:21:45)
Continuity mistake: When Xander throws grenades to make an avalanche he unzips his coat. He fixes his goggles and jumps. In next scene his coat is already zipped up. Clearly he didn't have time to zip it. (01:29:30)
Continuity mistake: Xander Cage whips out the grenades and tosses them behind him to do a Mulan and create an avalanche. He does not zip his jacket back up, but it is during the rest of his slide. (01:29:35)
Factual error: Near the end when all the police cars (the ones with blue writing as opposed to green) show up at the castle, some of them are 'Mestska Policie' which means city police or district police in Czech. In Prague these policemen are only responsible for keeping the peace, ie handing out tickets, preventing bar fights, etc. They would not have been at such an important and dangerous raid. (01:34:50)
Continuity mistake: Asia Argento unties Xander with a knife she had strapped to her boots. In close-up, the boots are army-like with a dark olive color, but when she was sitting down, and even better when she later has to put her feet on the car pedals, she is sporting pointy camel-yellow boots. (01:35:30 - 01:45:40)
Revealing mistake: A rocket launcher that XXX shoots is clearly a camcorder with bits added onto it. You can see the viewfinder from a side shot, and the lens from the front. (01:38:20)
Factual error: The weapon Xander fires in the basement to kill the sniper with the might of his irony does not make sense (as noted before, it is non-existent and its prop is a modified camcorder). First of all, he is firing it with his back to the wall, and the deflected backblast alone would fry Vin Diesel's arse. Second; it fires a heat-seeking rocket that targets a single lit cigarette completely outside of Xander's range, to the point that the projectile does almost a U turn (way more than 90°); if it just goes for any smallest object wildly off the supposed target range (Vin Diesel is looking at a screen when he points it), then it could end up targeting the launcher itself, heated up by just having fired, or weapons or shells just fired by allies, making it useless in combat. Third; the screen Vin Diesel is looking at...is switched off. (01:38:40)
Factual error: The name of the sub is AHAB, but it's written ANAB, the "H" in Russian looks like a "X." (01:39:30)
Continuity mistake: When Toby arrives to bring XXX his new modified car, as he drives it around the court you can notice a policeman appear all of a sudden in the shot with the close-up on the GTO on the grill; was nowhere to be seen before. (01:40:40)
Continuity mistake: In close-up, Asia Argento's hand is in a different position on the GPS, more to the right, her thumb off the buttons. (01:43:25)
Character mistake: When Xander tells Yelena "There must be something we can use", she goes through the manual and reads aloud "Harpoon, gun, parachutes built into seats, ejectable roof." Minutes later, Xander says that they must have missed something, and she says "Weapons, there are more weapons here in the back", and there's the harpoon gun she already read about earlier, she was even on that page of the manual. Continuity mistake: Some potato carts are blocking the road. We see the accident spot and there are several people by the carts taking care of the injured driver, with very few potatoes on the asphalt. When Yelena fires the rockets, no people are by the carts anymore, and as they drive through the flaming wreckage there are many more potatoes - of course since the cart just exploded, but they are all perfectly still and not burnt, not looking at all like they come from a cart that blew up in an inferno of flames a split second before. Revealing mistake: At the end of the movie, Czech Air Force sends two Sukhoi 22's to destroy Ahab, armed with rocket pods. When shown from the front, you can see the rocket pods are empty. (01:44:40)
Continuity mistake: When X ejects the roof of the car towards the end of the scene, you can see that there are no windows attached, however, after the roof is ejected, the windows of the car disappear. (01:46:00)
Continuity mistake: When Xander is chasing the sub, he is driving on a road to the left of the river, yet when he comes onto the bridge, the car does a left turn onto the bridge, which indicates that the car was driving down a road to the right of the river. (01:46:20)
Answer: Xander and Shaver were back at the compound where they first met. The one where Xander finds out that Shaver is responsible for making the gun and darts that were used to knock him out. In that scene Shaver shows Xander some of the cool stuff that he had made, and Xander uses a few items later in the movie.
