Continuity mistake: When Juni says, "This is the ventilator shaft, here," in the wide shots the map faces a particular way, however, in the close-up of the map with his right thumb, the map now faces the opposite way in his hands. (This has nothing to do with the angle of the camera.) (01:02:25)
Continuity mistake: When Ms. Gradenko walks into the safehouse, the table to Carmen's right is visible and there are no glasses on it. Though in many following shots, including just after Ms. Gradenko hits her head and falls, there are two glasses of milk and cookies on a tray sitting on that table. However, when Ms. Gradenko is hit with the BuddyPack and flies into the chair the glasses of milk are gone, but when Juni says, "Bad hair day!" the milk and cookies are back. (00:36:05 - 00:39:50)
Revealing mistake: When the Thumb Thumbs chase Carmen and Juni in the speedboats, one speedboat rams a small boat. In the first shot the back end of the small boat with the motor is demolished, yet in the second shot the boat is split cleaner and the back end with the motor is intact. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: When Lisp is introduced to and then flipped by the robot of the president's daughter, Minion stands directly between the doors and the straw figure. However, in the next close-up he stands between the straw figure and the huge pineapple. (00:15:05)
Continuity mistake: When Carmen and Juni fly into the clothing store, Carmen drops her brother between clothing racks. Directly beside the mannequin there is a square shaped rack and two large circular racks to the left, which have no signs attached. However, when Carmen and Juni walk toward the entrance, as they pass the mannequin the square rack is gone and now there are two silver framed store signs attached to the center of the circular racks. (00:42:10 - 00:42:40)
Revealing mistake: Before robo-Carmen punches the wall, the painted uneven plaster surface actually changes between two shots, as her fist makes contact. Then in robo-Carmen's close-up and next shot looking up, it's clear that only the exterior slabs of pre-cut painted plaster come loose and fall from the hollow interior, differing with the large chunks of interior plaster on the floor in the next shot. (01:14:55)
Visible crew/equipment: As Gregorio and Ingrid disappear through the circular opening above, the surrounding ceiling is clearly visible. After a close-up of Juni and Carmen, in the following shot, before the two robots make their appearance, the crew's equipment is visible beside the circular puzzle opening in the ceiling. (01:12:55)
Continuity mistake: In the robotics lab, when Gregorio and Ingrid chain Minion to the chair one of the colorful links is broken and the wire is visible, but in the following shots the chain's position differs. Then, as Minion presses the red button his suit and tie are quite messed up and the hat's black cord is to his left. Yet in the next shot when he releases the button his suit and tie are perfectly straight, the black cord is behind his head and it's obvious that the smoke comes from behind the chair! (01:11:05)
Continuity mistake: Ingrid and Gregorio toss their watches, passports, wallets, etc., onto the tray that a Thumb Thumb holds. The items' positions differ in consecutive shots. (00:26:30)
Continuity mistake: At the wedding of Ingrid and Gregorio Cortez, when the planes come a bunch of pages fly out of the large bible the pastor holds. In the next shot of the pastor he's now holding a small bible with a different cover. (00:05:25)
Continuity mistake: The size of "The World's Smallest Camera" changes sizes. In the shop when Machete is working on it Juni can't see it from several feet away. However, when Juni is sticking them on the walls in Floop's castle we can see one on the wall from about 12 feet away. Then when Carmen asks him what he was doing he holds up a bag of them and we see that they are about a centimeter in diameter. (00:51:15 - 01:01:00)
Visible crew/equipment: After the taxi has driven off when Carmen and Juni are stood outside Machete's Spy Shop, when Juni says 'we're getting help from Dad's best man?' look to the left of Carmen and you can see a crew member reflected in the window of the building behind the pair.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the movie, when we see Floop's castle for the first time, the camera zooms in on it as Lisp welcomes the investors, and we see Floop looking out through his puzzle piece shaped window. The puzzle window Floop looks through in the exterior shot is completely different than the puzzle window in the interior shots. (00:13:05)
Continuity mistake: On the loudspeaker as Minion says, "All robots report to the grand room for a final demonstrationÂ…", the robots walk all the way down the long corridor in three shots. This is the same corridor that is directly outside the grand room in the following shots, even the paint markings on the walls are identical! When Carmen and Juni run into the grand room, obviously the long corridor behind them is clear, until moments later when the robots appear at the far end. (01:16:10)
Deliberate mistake: When Ingrid, Gregorio, Carmen and Juni are faced with all the robot children, Machete jumps through the puzzle window to their rescue. As he rolls off the floor the large bandage on the stuntguy's left elbow is visible, though it isn't in the previous or following shots. (01:17:10)
Continuity mistake: In the opening shot of San Diablo, the overhead shot zooms in on an entirely empty rectangular grassy area with several trees lined up on two opposite sides and a monument at the center. In the following ground shots the area is completely different, and is now filled with many trees, playground equipment, children, etc. (00:45:35)
Continuity mistake: When the Thumb Thumbs fly out of the clothing store chasing after the clothing rack, the rack is hit by a red car, then topples over, and they are about two feet apart while both are within the lines of the crosswalk. However, in the next overhead shot they are quite far apart from each other and both, especially the car, are a considerable distance away from that crosswalk. (00:42:25)
Continuity mistake: At the safehouse, when Carmen looks at the photo of Machete and her father, in the shot facing her, the photo is visible from the back side. In this shot, Gregorio (the taller one) actually wears a white tux, while Machete wears the black tux and much of his white shirt is exposed, and the background is very dark. Yet, in the close-ups of the photo, Gregorio wears the correct black tux, Machete's white shirt is not visible at all and the background is very light. It's obviously different photos. Also, later when they arrive at Machete's, when Carmen has the photo in her hands, it is the same 'wrong' photo when the shot faces her. In the close-up of the code names the fold in the photo differs from the previous shot and as Carmen flips the pic there is a brief glimpse of Machete's white shirt and dark background. The way she holds the photo in the close-ups and wide shots differ as well. When Carmen is at the park, the fold and handwriting behind the photo differ in the shot facing Carmen and the close-up of the writing. (00:34:50 - 00:46:05)
Continuity mistake: At the safehouse Juni removes the cloth over the Machete BuddyPacks and it lies on the edge of the table. The cloth's position constantly changes in the following shots. (00:39:10)
Revealing mistake: As Ingrid tells the tale of the two spies to Carmen and Juni, in the story when Ingrid follows Gregorio up in the elevator, her coat is red including under the collar and lapels, with about 6-8 inches of red on the interior along the span of the edges, the rest being a black interior. After she removes her wig, to disguise herself even further she then turns her coat inside-out, with the same characteristics in the opposing color. Obviously in reality there are two coats, as this is impossible to achieve when simply turning the coat inside-out. (00:03:20)
Answer: When he told her that he knew about her still wearing diapers. He did it to get back at her for being so mean to him and they decided to call it even.
