Revealing mistake: When young Irving is breaking the store windows, you can see some of them shatter before the rocks hit them, in one case before the rock even leaves his hand.
Revealing mistake: When Mother Russia blows up the police car with the gas bottle, both policeman are thrown clear with no damage at all, showing that they came from behind the car and not from inside it.
Revealing mistake: When Mark Wahlberg removes the shrapnel from his leg, it is pretty obvious that it is a fake leg. If you look at and compare its dimensions to the rest of his body, you can see that that would be the leg of a giant man. The thigh is way too long, and the whole leg is way too big for his body. You can also tell by his body posture that his real leg goes into the couch he is sitting on.
Revealing mistake: In the opening chase with the armoured truck it comes up behind a blue car that is already dented on the near side, which is the side it slides round to so the truck hits it. It then gets pushed onto a silver van that is completely wrecked from previous takes.
Revealing mistake: When Khan and Spock are fighting on the garbage scow as it glides over San Francisco, you can easily see Spock's stunt double being beaten by Khan's stunt double. And vice versa.
Revealing mistake: Early on when the guys are going to New York to pick up Robert De Niro there's an aerial shot of New York/Manhattan. In it you'll see the helicopter's shadow on the Brooklyn Bridge, and it is traveling in reverse. Also the flag on the top of the bridge is not flying properly.
Revealing mistake: A sudden downpour hits the family's car after they leave the gas station. One shot of the front windshield shows the rain pattern going across the window in a frequency wave like fashion, indicating it is artificially produced for an effect. (00:13:55)
Revealing mistake: The bounty hunter captures Diana and has her in his van. She knocks him out in their fight with a punch to the throat. He is slumped over the steering wheel and she can't get him off as the van is going down the highway. She can't steer the van at all and it is heading for a turn. However, on the outside showing Sandy's car following, they come to a turn in the road and the van turns. They did a good job trying to disguise this with the style of filming, but not quite good enough.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough are in the row boat, it starts to rain so they rush to shore. They huddle under a tree and you can see behind them that the rain is only falling right around them - only slightly further away on the lake there are no rain drops hitting the water.
Revealing mistake: When Kenny Rossmore starts the RV to get away from Pablo Chacon and One-Eye, you can see the dashboard of the RV and the temperature gauge shows the engine is already warm, despite supposedly being started from cold. (01:18:40)
Revealing mistake: When Tanya has just died, her face goes still and she stops breathing, but you can still see her pulse beating in her neck.
Revealing mistake: In the funeral scene where Dr. Viper Lady is videoing Logan fighting, she starts lowering the smartphone, but the "faked" image on the screen doesn't change to match her arm dropping down.
Revealing mistake: When Jack says "Screw you" to Sergeant Sykes, Sykes pulls his pistol and shoots Jack. You see the gun flash, and you see an impact on Jack. But if you watch closely, they do not line up. The special effects charge goes off indicating the hit on Jack's right breast. But when the gun goes off, while still moving, at that moment it was pointing at Jack's lower left abdominal region. (00:58:50)
Revealing mistake: Right after the huge bird soars back to the trees and Kitai begins to run along the river something has either been moved or cut from the scene...look almost to the bend in the river in the rocks.
Revealing mistake: When Walter is floating in the water, his shoulders are well out of the water because Ben Stiller was wearing a lifejacket under his shirt. In real life, he'd be up to his neck and have trouble keeping his head above water.
Revealing mistake: When the doctor intercoms the colonel because he cannot get into the medical room for the pregnant woman having nightmares, the camera shows the bridge intercom, which is simply the back end of a desktop computer with a couple of knobs stuck on it.
Revealing mistake: After the banker has picked out his card, Daniel says "Show it your friends in Section B. But not to us." As he says this, visible in the background is a television with a live feed from the stage. On the television, we can see Henley walking around the stage, but the movements of Henley on the TV don't match up with what Henley is doing onstage - on the live TV feed, she is shown looking up at the audience, but on the stage at the same moment she is looking at the banker. Also, Jack walks right by her and he is never shown on the TV. (00:19:25)
