Cars (2006)

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Luigi offers his service to Van and Minny, Guido is juggling wheels. But when Guido finishes, you can see over his right lift that his one of his wheels is not rendered correctly, as it seems to overstep his bodywork.

Cars 2 (2011)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mater and Lightning enter Buckingham Palace, you can see a mountain as you look in the background. But when Finn and Holley enter while Lightning and Mater are moving closer to the Queen, the mountain has now become a tall building.

Cars (2006)

Continuity mistake: When McQueen rides on the wall to pass Rusty Cornfuel and Floyd Mulvihill, he passes Winford Bradford Rutherford and Sage VanDerSpin and goes straight to Slider Petrolski. However, past him are Todd Marcus, Ernie Gearson, and Winford Bradford Rutherford again, making it look as if there were two RPM cars with the same exact body, but there aren't.

Revealing mistake: In the overhead shot of Gordon waiting for Spencer at Knapford Station, you can see that the bushes on the far left track aren't rendered properly, as they appear to overlap the rails.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Percy is talking to Stephen, Thomas reverses down the track he has arrived on and stops. But when Percy leaves, Thomas has mysteriously disappeared. Also, the track Thomas was on ends at some buffers behind him and leads to the turntable in front of him, but that was set to Percy's line.

Cars (2006)

Continuity mistake: In the close-up of "Petrol" Pulaski giving Winford Bradford Rutherford some oil, the RPM crew chief is white. But in the scene showing all of the pit crews, he is yellow.

Cars 2 (2011)

Continuity mistake: Tony Trihull appears when Finn McMissile begins chasing Professor Z. It also shows when Tony uses his magnet. When it is used, Finn's equipment are pulled by the magnet, which includes his bullets. Those bullets are black when all of them were going out. However, when they are pulled onto the magnet they are grey.

Other mistake: In London, the red telephone boxes seen are human-sized, so it is impossible for them to be big enough for the cars to even get into.
