Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, on the train ride out of the Hive, Rain is quite close to becoming undead. When she speaks, we notice her teeth are still "movie-star white". However, a few shots later, when she becomes a zombie, she sort of hisses where you can see it has taken what couldn't have been more than a few mere minutes for her teeth to become brown and discolored. Continuity mistake: Samara, as seen in the psychiatric sessions on the videotape, has a prominent gap in her front teeth - yet when she decomposes in Rachel's arms down in the well, the skull that is left has perfect teeth with no visible gap.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the townspeople are fleeing to the mall there is a shot of the Deputy driving the car. You can see the top left hand corner of the windshield is covered in green goo, but when you see them parking the windscreen is completely clean. (01:03:35)
Continuity mistake: When at his house, the first crew member Michael kicks with a camera. He puts that camera on the ground, tripod closed and laying down. When the people first walk into the house they switch to a camera view that's up the stairs and you can see that the camera that was laying on the floor is now propped up against the wall.
Continuity mistake: The chain and collar vanishes from Mailer's neck as he runs into the mansion. (01:33:45 - 01:35:20)
Suggested correction: It doesn't disappear; it is just hard to see. The chain is attached to the actor's back, quite securely, likely for the actor's safety. It is there, though, and can be seen in some shots.
Continuity mistake: Just after Scud gets blown up, Reinhardt's face has no blood on it. Yet when he walks out of the room with Whistler, his face is covered in blood.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, the little boy has big brown eyes. 19 years later, when the boy is shown as an adult in the diner, he has big blue eyes.
Continuity mistake: When Epps first walks into Katie's cabin, there is a straw hat underneath a suitcase on top of the clothes rack. Yet when Epps gets up again after looking at the dress, the hat is now on top of the suitcase without her having moved it. (00:53:40)
Suggested correction: Maybe Katie moved it?
Continuity mistake: During one scene, in numerous shots Ben pushes the throttle lever all the way up, but in shots between he never actually pulls the lever down.
Continuity mistake: When Maguire grabs his suitcase and is about to open it, we can see his left foot stretched out on the floor. When it cuts to a close-up of him opening the suitcase we can see his foot is crouched. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: When May is talking to Ambrosia about her nice legs, Ambrosia drinks from a milk carton with her right hand. In the next shot when she twirls around for May, the carton is in her left hand. (01:11:15)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning with the campers as the guy says "You were right, this is definitely better than being," the girl is holding her cup with both hands around it. When it cuts, she is holding the handle of the cup. (00:00:35)
Continuity mistake: Rachael leaves the party with one hairdo, and arrives at Cassandra's place a few minutes later with a completely different one.
Continuity mistake: When Liam and his other two mates are inside there house, Liam looks at the projection screen and stands up to take the slide out of the machine. Between shots there is nothing in his right hand as he stands up, yet in the following shot he is holding a can of lager in his left hand. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Stallone is chasing and shooting at the killer in the factory, he bursts through a door and shoots the hanging body of the FBI/SWAT officer. In the first shot of the officer you can see his lips. The next shot of the body shows that his mouth is duct taped.
Continuity mistake: At the end, Mun realizes the tanker explosion is about to happen, she gets off of her bus and tries to warn the people in their cars. She bangs on the window of a couple with a baby, and then tries a newlywed couple. Mun continues heading towards where the explosion will occur. When the truck finally does go up, we first the the parents and baby get hit, then the newlywed couple, and finally Wah has to save Mun. The problem is that this should have happened in the opposite order.
Continuity mistake: Bret shoots himself under the chin and a hole is blown in his forehead. Moments later when he's on the ground, for a split second, you can see his forehead completely unblemished. (01:03:00)
Continuity mistake: When the thumbs are in the car driving to the woods, in some shots their thumbs are out of their shirt a lot, but in other shots, they're in there all the way.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie she drives off and arrives at her next destination and you see a Florida license plate on the front of the car. Florida only issues a rear tag, and notice the front and rear tags don't match.
