Death Becomes Her picture

Corrected entry: When Madeline dies, her eyes stay brown the entire time before being changed later by Ernest. When Helen dies, her eyes become white which is more in line with true life.

Correction: Her eyes turn white because they were boiled in the hot tub.

A League Of Their Own picture

Corrected entry: When Jimmy is having batting practice and he's talking to himself about coaching a girl's team, his lips don't move when he says anything during the entire scene.

ACertainShadeofGreen

Correction: Jimmy is clearly upset/uncomfortable with his situation. He's speaking through his clenched teeth which is why his lips don't appear to move.

Strictly Ballroom picture

Corrected entry: When Scott and Fran are dancing on the roof of the studio, and Scott swings himself around on the clothesline, you can see the floor almost collapse when he lands. It looks like they covered the roof with panels of wood, even though it should be cement on a buildings roof.

Correction: It was a real roof, and the floor was also real; the only piece of set was the Coca Cola billboard.

Beethoven picture

Corrected entry: There's a scene where two of the children are playing a video game. They're both holding controllers and talking as if they're both playing at the same time. But the game they're playing is "StarTropics" for the NES, which is a one-player only game.

Correction: The game is Super Mario, and only the girl is holding an official NES controller the boy is using a makeshift gauntlet controller.

Basic Instinct picture

Corrected entry: In the bathroom scene, Nick calls Roxy "Rocky." He gets her name right later when he is talking to Katherine.

Correction: He was calling her "Rocky" because of her attitude towards him during this scene. He is just expressing his opinion of her personality towards him.

Howards End picture

Corrected entry: Miss Schlegel goes on her weekend to Howard's End with no luggage at all.

Correction: You think a fine lady like her would carry her own luggage? She would have had it sent ahead.

Chaplin picture

Corrected entry: The scene with Douglas Fairbanks (Kevin Kline) climbing the Hollywood sign is historically incorrect. The sign at the time was still "Hollywoodland". The "Land" portion wasn't taken down until 1949.

Correction: The full "Hollywoodland" sign is, in fact, correctly depicted in this scene.

Honey I Blew Up the Kid picture

Corrected entry: When the family is running around trying to settle down the big Adam, Adam picks up Nick. From the back view, Nick is obviously a doll.

Correction: Not true. Watch the "making of" in Youtube: It is a stunt in extra large clothing shot from a specific angle.

Far and Away picture

Corrected entry: In the scene when they are all racing to get the land to own, there are several women racing by themselves. Women couldn't own property in the 19th century, so why would they bother to race for it themselves?

Correction: Single women could own property. Married women were property themselves, so anything they had went to their men. Plus, this is the American west - before it was divided up into states and incorporated into the United States, and women could vote in most of the territories. Owning property would be a small thing.

School Ties picture

Corrected entry: When Mr. Gierasch finds Charlie's cheat sheet on the floor he apparently has no idea who it belongs to, but he could have simply compared the handwriting on it to the handwriting on all of the students' exams - whichever exam matched the handwriting on the cheat sheet would have immediately exposed the cheater (Charlie). Mr. Gierasch would certainly have been intelligent enough to think of doing that as opposed to the way the sequence plays out only to benefit the movie's plot.

Correction: We see during the student meeting that Gierasch told them it was block printed. Charlie intentionally disguised his writing in case he was caught.

Scent of a Woman picture

Corrected entry: When Pacino is putting his gun back together, he tells O'Donnell to never call it a gun. Soon after that Pacino himself calls it a gun.

Jon Nicholas

Correction: I strongly believe this is an intentional, tongue in cheek statement which fits the dictatorial performance of Col. Slade - he makes capricious rules for others that he doesn't have to follow himself.

Poison Ivy picture

Corrected entry: Ivy has her tattoo done on a school day which is 9 days away from Daryl's party, but after the party when Ivy and Daryl are on the bed, her tattoo has completely healed.

Correction: That's not an unreasonable time frame. I have three tattoos and they all healed completely within about a week.

Singles picture

Corrected entry: In the scene near the end of the movie when Janet (Bridget Fonda) and Cliff (Matt Dillon) are on the elevator in their apartment building, why is Cliff on the elevator - he lives in a basement apartment. We see his apartment in a previous scene where Janet comes through his opened front door and there are stairs leading down, and at the beginning of the movie when Scott Campbell points to where all of his neighbours live.

PearlJammer1964

Correction: Visiting another neighbor, putting something in storage, etc. There are several reasons he might be on the elevator at any time.

Patriot Games picture

Corrected entry: When the daughter (Thora Birch) is outside the New England house she is playing on a gameboy with all the sound effects, but there is no game cartridge in it...

Correction: There is a game cartridge in the game boy. It can easily be seen at time 34.50 or so. The cartridge is a dark grey, compared to the the light grey of the game boy.

Mr. Baseball picture

Corrected entry: When the team is playing day games, the sun is in right field. This is against MLB rules as the sun must not be in the batter's eyes. Other baseball movies have shown this same mistake as well.

Correction: First: They aren't playing in Major League Baseball. They are playing in Nippon Professional Baseball. Different league, different rules. Second: it's not a rule. The MLB rulebook only states that it is "desirable" for an orientation of that type. It's not required. Https://medium.com/@kevin_bullock/losing-baseballs-in-the-sun-860e81601b25.

Universal Soldier picture

Corrected entry: When Van Damme's character comes home, his mother calls him Jean instead of his character's name.

Correction: She says "John, come here", not "Jean". John is her husband's name. You can check it with the subtitles on.

Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where the man bleeds to death in the church, how does he know that the blood coming from his nose is from the left nostril when he rubs both nostrils?

Correction: Obviously you've never had a nosebleed before, because when you have one you can feel it, either from the sensitivity of the skin or the nose hairs. Or he might be like me and always bleed out the same nostril.

Of Mice and Men picture

Corrected entry: Lennie is shot in the head at point blank range, yet there is no blood or any evidence that he has been shot, just a nice clean corpse. Obviously done deliberately for viewers' sensitivity but still a mistake.

Correction: You never see the front of Lenny's head after he is shot, and that is where the damage would be. The entrance wound of a small calibre pistol fired at point blank range would be barely larger than the bullet. It would easily be hidden by Lenny's hair.
