Continuity mistake: At the end of the film the hero follows the bad guy into a reservoir. When he gets there, the bad guy has dug a very deep hole in the ground in which he wants to bury the girl. But the bad guy arrived only two minutes or so before the hero and didn't have the time to dig a hole of that size.
Continuity mistake: Just before Melvin has sex with Sarah, Sarah's red dress straps fall down off of her shoulders, yet are back up in the next shot.
Visible crew/equipment: When the Starcar lands for the second time, there is a shot where the car comes to a stop in front of the camera. In this shot, the wooden rafters of the sound stage can be seen. (Noted in the director's commentary).
Continuity mistake: In the shot after Gilbert is dipped and gets soaked in the fountain by the Alpha-Betas, when he is up on the podium, you notice that he is almost dry, only his head is wet. (01:21:25 - 01:23:00)
Continuity mistake: When the protagonists are trying to get to the French embassy they pass a VW beetle whose windshield is smashed by a Red Khmer. The camera angle is not very helpful but if you look closely you see that the window is gone already, and the pieces flying over the hood are from the bit of glass that sticks in the frame. Continuity mistake: After crashing through the guarded barrier of the base, David drives the stolen pickup truck and burning debris from the electrical storm falls onto the hood of the truck. In the next close-up the burning debris is shaped differently. Then after they crash through the wall, in the wide shot there is no burning debris on the hood. Yet, in the next close-up there's plenty of burning debris, but then in the next shot there is no burning debris again, just a smoking engine. The building debris surrounding the truck and behind it, in the first shot differs from all the building debris in the second shot as well. (01:21:50)
Continuity mistake: At the Record Label party, where the band meets Bobbi Fleckman, Nigel is wearing a coat. In another shot where the band meets Sir Dennis Eaton Hogg at the same party Nigel has no coat and different shirt.
Audio problem: During the song 'Found A Job' (about 30/60 secs. in?) a cymbal crash can be heard, but the drummer doesn't hit a cymbal. Later on, the error is reversed (drummer hits cymbal but no crash is heard).
Continuity mistake: Sunny, wearing black heels, runs up the stairs with the Emir. Then Sunny jumps the wall in white sneakers. Then a few seconds later she is then seen in black heels again. (01:17:50 - 01:18:10)
Continuity mistake: Right before the fight scene in the bowling alley, Gatsby Boy bowls a strike. However, when Hopper charges down the alley after him, the 7 pin is shown still standing.
Visible crew/equipment: In the dinner scene in "Her" Excellency garden, right after Lamia breaks the egg in her hands, there's a cameraman's reflection on the metal jug held by Max.
Audio problem: When Winston says "Bugger." at the start of the film when he has the cigarette in his mouth, his lips are most definitely not in sync with the word. And it even sounds dubbed over.
Deliberate mistake: In the end sequence, when the joyous Valley of the Wind people run past Yuppa and the old woman to welcome back Nausicaä among the living, the same group(s) of people are seen twice running from the right to the left.
Revealing mistake: When the sheriff is going to whip Sarah, he tells her to take down her drawers. Bad editing, you see her hand reach back and make the motion as if she is pulling down her panties but it is visible they are still up.
Continuity mistake: The story takes place in 1901 and Rose is still shown as a toddler. She would have been a teenager by then.
Continuity mistake: When God and the Devil meet, God tells him that he wants the kid back. You see the Devil holding the cards in his hands. The camera angle changes and the cards are now on the table. The camera angle changes again and the cards are back in his hands. Happens about 3 times during the scene.
Revealing mistake: When Charlie sets the mens clothes on fire, burning gel is clearly visible on their clothes. (00:38:30)
Continuity mistake: Chocolate Mousse and Deja Vu are playing darts on the plane at the end of the movie. In the next shot where Hillary is hugging her father, the darts change positions. (01:23:35)
Continuity mistake: When Daniel Stern takes Capt. Bosch down to the sewer area for the first time, the sweat, oil and dirt stains on his tank-top change constantly. This is most noticeable when they first descend into the cellar, where the shirt looks almost perfectly clean after being extremely dirty just a split second before as they start to climb down. Also, a little later, there's all of the sudden an enormous sweat stain on his chest that disappears later.
Continuity mistake: When Turbo is being chased by the construction workers he falls down a bunch of stairs. The stunt man used for the fall looked nothing like Turbo. Even his hair was different.
