Continuity mistake: In the first scene of their "training" for the big mission, the text "Somewhere near Galveston, TX" shows up as a subtitle on the screen. As it does this, there is a nice, dark aerial shot of mountainous terrain which is supposedly to hide the troops from any outsiders. The problem is, there are no mountains within hundreds of miles of the Island of Galveston. The whole terrain in this area is so flat that you can practically see from one side of the island to the other. (00:21:45)
Visible crew/equipment: After Calvin Bouchard makes the announcement to tourists visiting the Undersea Kingdom to evacuate, we see the tour guide lead the crowd through the tunnels. The green screen backdrop is still in the final cut. They forgot to add in the underwater effect.
Continuity mistake: At the end of Porky's, you see Mickey Jarvis on crutches and covered in bandages after getting beaten up by Porky. In the beginning of Porky's 2: The Next Day, Mickey has miraculously healed. He jumps out of his truck to catch up with the other guys, no crutches or bandages and he is walking fine.
Factual error: After Shepard lifts off the pad on his Redstone rocket, most of the stock footage actually shows an Atlas rocket.
Continuity mistake: After Norman argues with Mr Toomey, before he goes up to the house, you can plainly see the light on in the living room where Mary is sitting. When Norman goes in the house, Mary is sitting in the dark and Norman then turns on the light.
Continuity mistake: Mention is made that Pamela owns the brewery because she has just turned 21. During the scene with the video game, she says her birthday was October 21, 1959. Later, the lawyer for Bob and Doug establishes the movie's timeframe by mentioning her kidnapping on October 10, 1983, which would make Pamela almost 24 years old instead.
Visible crew/equipment: When the telephone rings, Cujo bounds over and begins barking at it. After he has finished barking, he lingers in the window frame, and then, you can see a crewmember's hand come in, and pull him down from the ledge. (00:55:30)
Continuity mistake: In the morgue, the trays containing medical tools change positions between shots. They are strategically moved further up the bodies for the closeup to conceal the genital area, whereas before they only covered the legs. (00:06:30 - 00:07:40)
Factual error: When we first see Fatima Blush, she is waterskiing. She is doing several stunts, which are only possible with one ski, the most notable being skiing backwards with one foot in the air. However, when she releases the tow rope and skis up the ramp into James Bond's arms, she is on two skis. (00:45:55)
Continuity mistake: When Alex sits down to watch the news, the various items around the TV, magazines on the table, the cushions, cups, items on the couch etc. differ in position during the scene. (00:11:35)
Continuity mistake: At the end, when the naked killer is kicking the door, there is blood on the door from his feet. Several shots later, the blood on the door changes even though he has stopped kicking it. (01:34:45)
Continuity mistake: When Scrooge walks into the Cratchit home at the end, there is a "Home Sweet Home" plaque on the wall. The shot then cuts away from it. The next time the plaque is visible, its lettering has changed.
Continuity mistake: When Cheech gets off the stage in the beginning of the final show, you can see the spotlights on him when he is walking towards the curtains. When it cuts to a wide shot Cheech is gone and the spotlight is off. (01:04:25)
Factual error: Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson both live in River Oaks (very ritzy neighborhood in Houston) and are traveling to Brennans restaurant in downtown Houston maybe 5-10 miles away - but they go by way of Galveston which is about 45 miles south of Houston - which needless to say is way way out of the way... Visible crew/equipment: During the scene where Nick and Sam come upon Richard having a midnight snack in the kitchen you can see a small bright whitish reflection of some kind of equipment in the top left (our left) kitchen window, down in the lower right corner. There is no character movement or other scene related explanation for this reflection. It moves and fades during the scene, most dramatically at the end of the scene. (00:37:20)
Continuity mistake: One of the last scenes of the movie, when Karen Silkwood is driving away from Dru they show her sitting in the car waving at him and the rearview mirror is clearly visible. Then she starts driving away, and the rearview mirror is gone. Then as she drives off, you can see the mirror has been replaced.
Continuity mistake: During the scene where Rita is riding a bus, between shots the view outside changes from south quays, dame street, and back to the docklands, even though these places are several minutes bus ride away from one another and in different order.
Continuity mistake: In the diner, Walter Matthau has nearly finished his piece of toast, and then it gets bigger.
Continuity mistake: When Mary Carson is touching Father Ralph when he is shirtless her hands keep changing position between shots.
Revealing mistake: The outline of the blood pack is visible under John's shirt when Stillson's body guard shoots him. (01:37:35)
