Continuity mistake: When Ben Stiller appears at the fight scene, there are six people behind him on the staircase. When the shot shifts to Ben Stiller and his crew joining the circle, only five people are behind him. (00:59:20)
Visible crew/equipment: When Dalton pulls up to Red's Auto Store just after Jimmy and the other guy get in the red Mustang, you can see the crew in the reflection of the car door as they back out and drive away. (00:44:45)
Visible crew/equipment: When Finch is running to the toilet, a microphone wire is visible trailing down the inside of his shirt. This is pointed out in the DVD commentary. (00:58:15)
Continuity mistake: When Deeds meets the three old women on the bench, the woman farthest to the right in the orange coat has her hands empty, yet when the shot changes she has a cup of tea in her hands. The tea then disappears in the next shot. (00:09:15)
Continuity mistake: When Napoleon throws the fruit on Uncle Rico's van, it hits the windshield and leaves only splatters of juice on the windshield, but when Rico stops the van, the windshield has several chunks of the fruit on it.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Forrest goes and visits Jenny (and is introduced to his son), there is an iron on the ironing board in the background. It stands up, then down, then up. The child's artwork in the background also disappears. (01:56:25)
Continuity mistake: NBA Finals-Game 1. Andie wants Ben to buy her a Coke. During this scene, the camera cuts back and forth between Andie and Ben, and the basketball game. When Ben first looks at the game clock there is a little over a minute left in the game. He rushes to get her soda, and when he gets back, she says she wanted Diet Coke. There is a shot in this sequence where the camera is filming the basketball action, and you can see the game clock with over 7 minutes remaining, even though they are supposed to be nearing the 30 second mark. Continuity mistake: When Uncle Billy sees Potter in the bank, he walks to the teller window and there's no line, but a second later there's a line of a dozen or more people behind him.
Continuity mistake: When Happy and his Grandmother arrive at the nursing home, Happy puts his Grandmother's suitcase under the bed. In the next shot it's not there anymore. (00:09:45)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Chazz and Jimmy are talking about Chazz's shampoo, Mane & Tail, Jimmy puts the bottle on top of the bed post. When Jimmy turns away, the bottle is gone. Immediately before he turns, the top of the bottle was visible. (00:32:10)
Other mistake: In the scene when the helicopters arrive over the research center, look at the heli in the bottom right - it just fades out, while one on the left materialises, and the one in the middle changes position. Notice that after all the helicopters have changed place, you can see the helicopter that faded out appear on the helipad. (02:25:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the karaoke shop, watch the light through the window. Sometimes it's daylight outside, sometimes it's dark.
Continuity mistake: The girls are round Sam's Grandma's house drinking lemonade. Then when Grandma runs over to take their cups away, a cushion appears on Teeny's lap between shots. (01:11:55)
Continuity mistake: After Melanie has been bandaged up after her attack, she sits up on the sofa, and you can see two large bloody scratches on her cheek. These scratches disappear when Mitch and Lydia walk Melanie outside to the car. (01:51:25)
Continuity mistake: After their encounter with the monks, Buddy and Dave speed off and come out onto a road. The first shot sees the whole car come onto the road, where there is a double unbroken line in the middle of it. The shot changes to Buddy and Dave in the car. Watch through the back windshield. The double unbroken line has turned into a single, broken line. (01:07:35)
Continuity mistake: While being chased by the 3 BMWs, the passenger's headrest of the Dodge minivan driven by Brad changes from a 1-piece (part of the seat), to a headrest that you can adjust the height and it keeps changing during the scene.
Visible crew/equipment: In "Whenever You're Away From Me", Kira and Danny dance by a mirror, where you can see the cameraman. (00:32:10)
Continuity mistake: When Miri takes her name tag at the reunion, it's sticking to the thumb of her right hand. In the next shot, it's sticking to the index finger of her left hand. (00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning "Pete" asks Violet for her autograph on a time card. She signs it and the "T" is not crossed, and when Pete puts it on the board it is crossed. Then at the end when Violet's dad buys it from Pete it is again not crossed. Also if you look at the "V" when she signs it and after Pete puts it up they are different. And lastly, when Violet signs her last name it is spaced but when Pete puts it up it is jumbled together. Her signature is different all around. (00:01:30 - 01:27:30)
Continuity mistake: During the scene when Thomas Crown is sailing, you can see the weather change from very dark and stormy, to just cloudy, to blue sky and sun, depending on the shot. (00:36:30)
