Character mistake: When Tracy is about to announce that the wedding is off, she turns to Dexter for help, and he says "Two years ago..." Tracy starts the announcement "Three years ago..."
Character mistake: When Marisa boards the bus in the beginning of the movie to take Ty to school, she is on a Bx1 bus on the Grand Concourse and 173rd St going southbound. However, it is obvious Ty attends PS 33 on Fordham Rd and Jerome Ave in the next scene which is north of their location. It doesn't make sense at all for her to get on a southbound bus when she should be on a northbound bus. The 4 train is shown in the distance going uptown while she is walking up the stairs to the Grand Concourse. Why didn't she just take the train uptown since it stops at Fordham Rd in front of the school but instead she chose to get on a downtown bus? She is basically going in the opposite direction in real life.
Character mistake: When Andy calls Linda, as Linda and Steve are hooking up, he addresses her (on the answering machine) as Tammy.
Character mistake: In Frank Sinatra's scene in the taxi cab, when the girl is singing "Come Up to My Place," he rolls the cab window down and when he rolls it back up, he catches the front of his hair (the quiff) and has to roll the window back down to release it.
Character mistake: When Cadence meets the group at the airport and Finch comments "you're reading Descartes", she responds by utterly butchering the line "cogito, ergo sum." Odd that a student of Descartes would be unfamiliar with how to pronounce his most famous statement-somewhat analogous to a student of Einstein not knowing e=mc^2.
Character mistake: Jenna has Sparkle letters at her work. Wouldn't she get caught earlier?
Character mistake: Isaac is supposed to be 42 and Tracy is supposed to be 17. He says "when you're 36 I'll be..." and she completes the sentence with "63". It should be 61.
Character mistake: The final deciding question at the Law Society quiz is "what was Madonna's first UK single?" Bridget says it was "Lucky Star" but the quizmaster says that is wrong. Rebecca says it was "Holiday" and the quizmaster says that is right and announces that her team have won. The only problem is that "Holiday" was not Madonna's first UK single either, her first UK single was "Everybody", released in December 1982.
Character mistake: Largeman tells his father that he's leaving "tomorrow," but spends two more days in town. The next day is his last day, and they do not talk later the same day as they promised they would.
Character mistake: When Gilmore radios for backup during the Monument Valley chase, he is told additional officers will join them in Blanding. Kowalski hears this on his scanner as they pass a sign saying Blanding is 14 miles away. Kowalski then stops dead in the road and turns around, and the troopers do the same, yet when Sgt. Preston grabs the shotgun, he justifies firing on Kowalski saying "We're coming on to Blanding!" In actual fact they would be heading away from Blanding.
Character mistake: Throughout the film, Lucy's aunt is called "Patsy." In the final scene Lucy refers to her as "Patty."
Character mistake: Flynn has been reading for a while, taking notes, spreading books around, etc. - when Nicole arrives and says that it was nice to watch take-off from the cockpit. The plane must have been in the air for a long time by then.
Character mistake: Dancy orders Peggy to take a left turn into Rigby Road, but she actually turns right to access Rigby Road.
Character mistake: In the beginning of the movie everyone shows up on Monday. When Rosenberg is taking attendance he mispronounces the girl's name. She corrects him and he says yesterday and the day before it was something else. That would mean they came to school Sunday and Saturday.
Character mistake: When Holly and Amber go to see Amber's uncle at the Bistro, they say the 'report' is due tomorrow. However that day will be Sunday (no school!), as previously it was mentioned that the day was Saturday.
Character mistake: Ashley should be smart enough to know not to wear high heels while buffing the bowling alley lane. They might break or scuff up the floor, she should've worn sneakers or sandals.
Character mistake: Lucy says the source of the quote "To err is human" as Alexander Pope's "An Essay on Man." The quote actually originates from Pope's earlier work, "An Essay on Criticism."
Character mistake: On the proclamation announcing a plebiscite on a proposed "monarchy", the adjective "monarchical" is misspelled "monarchial".
Character mistake: When Tracy's mom enters Motormouth Maybelle's place she is surprised to see her daughter. When she calls to her she says, "Tracy Edna Turnband" instead of "Turnblad."
Character mistake: When Simon Dermott, a world-renowned museum security expert, steals the fake Cellini statue from the pedestal, he replaces it with a wine bottle, carelessly leaving his fingerprints all over the glass.
