Continuity mistake: When the twins are singing about Brad for the talent show, and Michael was playing the piano (you have to listen and watch), his hands are suppose to go across the keys but he is still doing the fake up-and-down-hand-move.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning while Dorothy is still on the farm, she walks along the pig pen fence and then falls in. When Bert Lahr picks her up out of there her dress is perfectly clean. (00:03:45)
Continuity mistake: Before the school bell rings, Jason asks Ms. Darbus for her favorite summer memory. When everyone turns to look at him in the shot from the front of the class, there is a book under Troy's desk, which is not there in the previous or following shots. (00:01:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where they go to Elwood's apartment, Elwood puts on a 78 RPM Decca Louis Jordan record. The record is entitled "Saturday Night Fish Fry". But the song that plays is "Let The Good Times Roll".
Continuity mistake: During the "This is me" sequence, the tattooed man is wearing a red cape. During the last few seconds of the song, he loses the cape and then it reappears again. (00:59:55)
Continuity mistake: Sarah wears her ring on her right hand. However as Sarah begins to climb the ladder in the tunnel after she answers, "You're right," when she puts her right hand on the rung above her, the ring is gone, but it's back in the following shots. (00:37:15)
Continuity mistake: When Jingle, Jangle, and Mrs. Claus pay a visit to Mother Nature, Mother Nature calls her sons beside her - Snow Miser and Heat Miser. She then turns to Snow Miser and asks him to allow a little snow fall in the South, and then turns to his brother, Heat Miser, and asks to allow just "one Spring day at the North Pole." The words are correct dialog, but she should have said each of those lines to the OTHER brother. (00:39:40)
Continuity mistake: Liesl creeps through the window and explains herself to Maria, standing by the middle of the bed. When the angle changes she is by the side of the bed. Then the angle changes and she is back by the middle side.
Continuity mistake: Just before Flynn cuts off Rapunzel's hair, there is a shot from behind him and he reaches up with his right hand to push her hair behind her ear. His arm is visible up to his forearm and the shackle is nowhere in sight. However, in the next, wide shot, the shackle is suddenly up around his wrist. (01:01:20)
Continuity mistake: When Elton and John Reid are kissing in the cupboard John's hand keeps changing between shots. John's hand rolls down Elton's chest, then the next shot it's on Elton's cheek, the next shot he takes his hand away, then the next shot his hand is by Elton's mouth and Elton pretends to bite John's thumb.
Continuity mistake: After April's father tells her about DJ's record, she goes to the frat house to see him. As she is walking up the sidewalk, she is empty handed and no purse is on either shoulder. Then, when she comes in the door she's holding a purse.
Continuity mistake: At the end when Meg steps out of the water, her pants are wet. However, when she enters the bedroom and finds the Phantom's mask, her pants are perfectly dry. (02:10:35)
Continuity mistake: When the butler takes the mother and kittens to be abandoned in the countryside he is on a motorcycle and sidecar combination. During the trip the sidecar changes from one side of the bike to the other and back again. Also, when the sidecar separates from the motorcycle when the dogs are chasing Edgar, the wheel on the sidecar switches sides regularly as well.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Aladdin is talking to Jasmine in front of the mirror the jewelled flower is in a vase with a real flower when the monkey under the table takes the real flower and the scene cuts back and shows the vase with both flowers. Seconds later the vase is completely empty.
Continuity mistake: After the song "Tomorrow" Bugsy and Blousey are in the cafe. Blousey has a drink and it has two straws and one spoon. The spoon keeps disappearing.
Continuity mistake: The father tears the children's advert for a nanny up into 8 pieces, but when it comes out of the chimney it's in far more bits.
Continuity mistake: The band-aid on Jill's doll disappears and reappears several times.
Continuity mistake: During the dance sequence for "That's the Way (I Like It)" Kelly's shoes change twice: at the beginning she is wearing open-toed black shoes, then she is wearing sneakers for about two seconds, then back to the open-toed shoes and finally to the sneakers for the remainder of the scene. Continuity mistake: When the three T-Birds go to moon at the TV camera at the National Dance Off, Doody says "1, 2, 3, go!" and pulls down his trousers to his ankles. In the next scene, his trousers are suddenly pulled right up to his buttocks.
Continuity mistake: As Jack Kelly rides the horse near the end of the "Santa Fe" sequence, his hat is waving behind him. When it cuts to a different angle the hat is on his head. Note: This was a specific detail put in by the director, symbolizing the boy's mental transition from New York to Santa Fe. However, it failed and is commonly seen as an editing mistake.
