Continuity mistake: The tyres on the crotch rocket motorcycles they were riding kept changing from knobbly tyres to road slicks, back and forth depending on what terrain they were on. Easiest to see when Ethan skids on the road to avoid the white van - clear shot of slick tyres - then about 30 seconds later they're on the dirt, he skids into the old car and you can easily see that he's got off-road tyres front and back.
Other mistake: When Eomer is mounting his horse after giving Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli the two horses, you can see his sword falling out of its sheath. (00:35:00)
Revealing mistake: When Anakin is talking to Palpatine, the shot pans to the door, and it is obvious that the door and the furniture are painted. (00:26:15)
Continuity mistake: When Sharkboy and Lavagirl burst into the classroom looking for Max, there is writing on the blackboard ("Science, Chapter Two") written in yellow chalk. Strangely, later in the scene the writing is now written in white chalk, and the handwriting of the text is noticeably different. Then, later it goes back to yellow! (00:16:45 - 00:17:40)
Continuity mistake: When Natalie Imbruglia and Rowan Atkinson are trying to enter John Malkovich's "chateau", when Natalie is climbing a ladder a tattoo is visible on her lower back. Later, when Pascal Sauvage (Malkovich) is being crowned, Natalie is fighting a sniper on the upper-level of the church. When the sniper pushes her away, the stunt double for Natalie falls to the floor and the tattoo is missing.
Visible crew/equipment: As the Power Rangers are running out of Maligore's temple as the volcanic pit erupts, in the shot from behind them all running out, down the path, if you look to the right of the screen, in the bushes you can plainly see two crewmembers standing there; one in red trousers and the other in a blue shirt holding a drink. Continuity mistake: When Chihiro talks to Kamaji about taking the train to see Zeniba, she says "Yep, I'll walk back along the tracks," and turns around, and the little mouse and bird are sitting on her left shoulder. It then cuts to a wideshot of Chihro walking over to Haku, but now the mouse and little bird have vanished from her shoulder. (01:27:15)
Visible crew/equipment: As the boat crew steps ashore to find Kilgore, the obvious shadows of two crew and their equipment are seen moving across the backs of the soldiers and then the raised netting slightly further away. This isn't the documentary crew they meet shortly afterwards, who are further onto the mainland. (00:27:20)
Suggested correction: In this scene, the boat crew immediately encounter a camera crew filming the soldiers. This is their shadows.
While they do encounter a documentary film crew, this does not happen until a few seconds after the mistake occurs. The shadows of the film crew are shown when they are walking onto shore, whilst the documentary film crew are shown more onto the main land. Plus, it seems a little weird Francis Ford Coppola would decide to randomly include shadows of a documentary film crew when the cameo doesn't happen until a few seconds later. Clearly this is the shadow of the camera and cameraman cast on them, and is a valid mistake.
Continuity mistake: When the huge tidal wave hits the bus you see a man standing on top of a taxi, number 7Z22, which gets crushed by the water. Moments afterwards you hear the French woman saying that she left her bag behind. If you look on the right side of Laura you can see a still intact taxi with the number 7Z22 on it. Visible crew/equipment: As the Batcoper emerges from its hangar, multiple crew and equipment are reflected in the cockpit's glass bubble. (00:04:05)
Continuity mistake: When Puss in Boots plants his sword in the ground then jumps out of his boots, his sword, boots and hat are nowhere near any trees or grass. Yet after attacking Shrek, Puss in Boots lands in his boots, and his boots, sword and hat have moved to being right beside a tree. (00:32:30)
Continuity mistake: All four guys are in the junk-yard and they are all about to toss their coins to see who goes to get the food. When Teddy throws his coin in the air he is wearing no dog tag necklace but when he catches the coin he is suddenly wearing the dog tag necklace. (00:22:15)
Other mistake: In the scene when the helicopters arrive over the research center, look at the heli in the bottom right - it just fades out, while one on the left materialises, and the one in the middle changes position. Notice that after all the helicopters have changed place, you can see the helicopter that faded out appear on the helipad. (02:25:25)
Continuity mistake: When young Magneto is struggling with the guards at the concentration camp, the father's star switches from one side of his chest to the other. (00:01:46)
Revealing mistake: When Linderman dashes at Jason and impales him with an American flag, Will is dragging Lori (who is supposed to be unconscious). He's dragging Lori by her arms... but when he suddenly reaches behind his back with his right arm, her right arm stays up in the air. (01:13:50)
Continuity mistake: Justin, the boy with the toy aircraft running away from his mother, towards the pyramid in the beginning of the movie, has the toy in his left hand while going up the ramp, while falling and as he begins traveling up through the air but when the angle of view changes it is in his right hand until he lands on his father. (00:02:05 - 00:02:45)
Revealing mistake: When Supergirl flies through the window to fight the invisible monster, half of the screen shows her jumping in a school uniform and the other half exiting with the Supergirl outfit. Watch closely and you'll notice that her halves don't match, giving the sense that she is missing part of her body.
Continuity mistake: When the squirrel gets stuck between the 2 glaciers he gets stuck at the bottom of them, but then it shows him getting fired out of the top of them. (00:02:49)
Suggested correction: Scrat may have got sucked up to the top.
Or squeezed all the way up and spat out. Either way Scrat is a much cartoonier character than the others and more extreme things happen to him.
Continuity mistake: Jack and Carl are in Carl's stateroom. Carl opens the crate of whiskey, takes out a bottle and puts it down. The bottle then turns itself around so the label's sometimes visible, sometimes not.
Continuity mistake: When Matilda makes the chalk write the message on the blackboard, the writing changes. Watch the "Agatha," especially. The handwriting changes and the comma changes length, as well as most of the message changing. Also at the end of the message Matilda "writes" two long lines under it, which cross over. Yet later when Miss Trunchbull flies off the globe you can see there is just one line under the message, not two. (01:20:20 - 01:23:00)
