Puss in Boots

Other mistake: In the beginning the guy cuts a triangle in a banner, but the inside piece is floating.

Deliberate mistake: In the opening title sequence, just after the title of the movie is shown, Puss cuts a P with his sabre into a curtain or flag. In the middle of the P, there is cloth remaining, but since he cuts edges all around this to make the Capital P, this cloth should fall away as it is no longer attached to anything, yet it floats in mid air.

Continuity mistake: When Puss is telling his childhood story and he is in the orphanage, when Boy Blue spins Humpty, Humpty's hat is off, it comes back later in another shot.

Continuity mistake: After Puss breaks out of prison he rides the giant Great Terror goose using coloured bunting as reins to steer and control her. In one medium shot the bunting has disappeared, but it magically reappears in the next close-up of Puss sitting astride the goose's neck.

Suggested correction: The rope is always there, if you pay attention.

Factual error: The "Great Terror" turns out to be a giant goose, but you see in the shot inside the castle that its footprint is not webbed, even though geese have webbed feet.

Plot hole: When Puss is being sent to prison near the end of the film a shot is shown of Softpaws effortlessly holding a golden egg with one hand. However, back in the giant's castle none of them were able to carry a single egg without help.

Jill: Is it true a cat always lands on its feet?
Puss in Boots: No! That is just a rumour, spread by dogs!

Question: Hey I haven't seen a few bits of the movie but does Humpty trick Puss with that bank? And How does the middle of the P that Puss cuts with his sword at the start of the movie stay in place?

Answer: The middle of the P stays in place because it's an animation. Humpty told Puss he owed people money and they were coming for him, but he really robbed a bank. The guards thought Puss was involved. They tried to arrest him, but Puss scratched one in self defence. He escaped on a wagon and the money accidentally fell off a bridge. He was on the run ever since.
