Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends

Pop Goes the Diesel - S2-E12

Plot hole: When Duck and Diesel leave the shed, Diesel follows Duck instantly, but the tracks they are on both lead to the turntable. As they are on different tracks to each other, it would be impossible for Diesel to follow Duck that quickly as the turntable could only be set to one track at a time.

The Sad Story of Henry - S1-E3

Audio problem: When James is about to puff away from Henry's Tunnel, if you listen closely, James is heard puffing before he has even left. (00:01:00)

Bulgy Rides Again - S7-E19

Continuity mistake: When Bulgy is driving on the road next to the rails, Thomas can be seen pulling a train instead of being repaired at the foundry.

Show generally

Continuity mistake: Despite Henry's issue from "Coal" in Season 1 being resolved after the crash in "The Flying Kipper", also in Season 1, Henry needed special coal again from "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" until Season 16.

Down the Mine - S1-E25

AAL117

Mucking About - S20-E14

Continuity mistake: Thomas appears to be damaged and dirty after his accident, but he is completely fine and spotless in the final scene. There is no way that Thomas was repaired and cleaned instantly.

Thomas in Trouble - S11-E18

AAL117

Toad Stands By - S4-E20

Revealing mistake: In a shot of 2 vans singing "Pop Goes Old Ollie" you can see a spider crawling on the right side of the left van in the screen.

Thomas and the Trucks - S1-E6

Audio problem: In the 1992 "Thomas Gets Tricked" VHS release, the music stops and a man's voice says, "Look out for the train!" when Thomas climbs up Gordon's Hill. The voice can still be heard in the 1995 release, but the music does not stop.

The Sad Story of Henry - S1-E3

Revealing mistake: When the passengers try to pull Henry out of the tunnel, they have putty on their feet. Sir Topham Hatt's hand is also purple.

AAL117

Wonky Whistle - S15-E17

Factual error: A "wonky" whistle doesn't sound like a slide whistle, it should sound like a weakened version of the correct whistle mixed with the hissing sound of steam. A "wonky" whistle would also leak steam constantly instead of being blown like a normal whistle.

AAL117

Something Fishy - S7-E15

Audio problem: When Arthur arrives at the lake, he has Spencer's whistle.
